A unique combination
You can now decide whether you want to dry your laundry in the drum or hung on a line in the room where your dryer is located. With our CombiAdoraDry V4000 DualDry, the choice is yours. This appliance saves space and allows you to enjoy all the benefits of a room air laundry dryer. You don’t need any additional installations such as drainage lines or separate power connections. You can start the room air laundry dryer mode on your DualDry appliance at the touch of a button. Simply select the programme on the display and open the flaps on the appliance as shown. The principle is as simple as it is brilliant: the dryer draws air in from the room via the bottom flap, removes the water from this air and then discharges dry air back into the room via the upper flap.
In the Moisture control programme, the DualDry measures the humidity of the room over a period of a week. If the resulting level exceeds the target moisture level you have set, the appliance automatically commences room air laundry dryer operation. This means that you can hang up new laundry over the week without having to configure any settings. As soon as the appliance has reached the target value, the room air laundry dryer function is stopped and the appliance starts measuring humidity once more.
Room air laundry drying
In this operating mode, both air flaps on the DualDry are open. The appliance draws in humid air from the room via the lower flap. An initial heat exchanger in the dryer then cools the air. This causes water vapour from the humid air to condense. The water collects in the appliance and is evacuated through a drain. Once cool, the air is then heated again and dried by a second heat exchanger, and is fed back into the room via the upper flap. On reaching the room, it begins to accumulate moisture and the cycle begins again. This process continues until the room or the laundry is dry.
Drum tumble dryer
In this operating mode, both air flaps on the appliance are closed. An initial heat exchanger cools the humid air from the drum in the lower part of the dryer. This causes water vapour from the humid air to condense. The water collects in the appliance and is evacuated through a drain. Once cool, the air is then heated again and dried by a second heat exchanger, and is fed back into the drum. On reaching the drum, it begins to accumulate moisture and the cycle begins again. This process continues until the laundry is dry.
Plus X Award
The Plus X Award is the world’s leading innovation prize for technology, sport and lifestyle. It recognizes brands for the superior quality and innovative edge of their products.
An expert panel of representatives from various sectors awards seals of approval in the following categories: innovation, design, high quality, comfort of use, functions, ergonomics and ecology. The approach of the Plus X Award is a unique one: in contrast to many of its rivals who see themselves mainly as design awards, the Plus X Award follows a more sophisticated approach with its seven seals of approval. The Plus X Award seals of approval are therefore not just a benchmark for outstanding products but also a strong indicator of overall brand quality.
We are proud to accept this year’s award for our innovative product DualDry. The tumble dryer with an additional ambient air drying function was awarded seals of approval in the categories of innovation, high quality, design, functionality and ecology.
