10 years guarantee
For every new V-ZUG product, you receive a two-year statutory guarantee from the date of purchase, as well as a voluntary, extended commercial manufacturer’s guarantee for eight (8) years (unless explicitly referring to the guarantee, collectively referred to as "guarantee"). [If a rectification (repair) is carried out on the product during the two-year statutory warranty period, the statutory warranty is extended once by twelve months, and the voluntary, extended commercial manufacturer's warranty in this case is seven (7) years. The total warranty period is a maximum of ten (10) years from the date of purchase, even if the statutory warranty period is extended in the event of a rectification (repair) in accordance with applicable law.
What is covered?
Covered are material and manufacturing defects in personal or family household use. Such defects will be rectified free of charge during the warranty period. It includes labour and travel costs as well as the costs for replacement materials. V-ZUG may, at its discretion, either repair the product, replace it with an equivalent product, or, in exceptional cases, provide a partial refund of the purchase price. All other claims are excluded.
Where is the guarantee valid?
The guarantee is only valid in the country where the V-ZUG product was purchased from an authorised V-ZUG partner and introduced to the market (country) by V-ZUG, and where either V-ZUG itself or an authorised V-ZUG service provider offers services in that country. When appliances are shipped to other countries, the technical conditions (e.g. mains voltage, frequency) or the climate and environmental conditions of the respective country may cause problems. We therefore reserve the right to refuse the guarantee for appliances that are not certified for the respective country.
What is not covered?
Excluded from the guarantee are damages caused by transport, handling, storage, or installation of the appliance contrary to the specifications, improper use, inadequate maintenance (e.g. scratches on aesthetic parts such as door glass, hob glass, and enamelled parts), external influences, consequential damages and indirect damages resulting from an appliance malfunction, force majeure, and reasons beyond the control of V-ZUG. If work is carried out by a service provider not authorised by V-ZUG or if parts other than original V-ZUG spare parts are used, the voluntary manufacturer’s warranty will lapse to the extent of the damage demonstrably caused by a self-repair, third-party intervention, or third-party spare part. Additionally, the following restrictions apply during the extended commercial guarantee:
Replacement of wear parts such as light bulbs, filters, door seals, fuses or similar items.
Replacement of aesthetic parts such as door glass, hob glass, enamelled parts or similar due to natural, usage-related colour changes.
Replacement of accessories such as baking trays, wire shelves, food probes or similar items.
Contractual or mandatory statutory claims expressly taking precedence over this contract against the product seller are not affected by the provisions in this contract.
