Metall Zug: New CEO at V-ZUG AG
Zug, 30 April 2013 – Metall Zug appoints Dirk Hoffmann as the new CEO of V-ZUG AG. As of 1 September 2013 he will take over from Jürg Werner, who has headed up V-ZUG since 2010. When Dirk Hoffman takes over at the helm, Jürg Werner will concentrate on his role as CEO of Metall Zug AG and will take up his position as Chairman of the Board of V-ZUG. Dirk Hoffmann is a manager with comprehensive global experience and a strong track record and is well placed to direct operations at V-ZUG.
As part of the greater industrial focus of the Metal Zug Group after the appointment of the new Group management in June 2012, Jürg Werner (56) headed up both the Metal Zug Group and V-ZUG AG as a CEO with a dual function. The election of Dirk Hoffmann (52) as the new CEO of V-ZUG and a Member of the Executive Board of Metall Zug considerably strengthens the management structure of the Group management. At the same time, the appointment of Jürg Werner as Chairman of the Board of V-ZUG AG continues the company's course towards sustainable development and internationalization and guarantees continuity at the management level.
Dirk Hoffmann has many years of international experience and a strong track record in the manufacturing industry. During his successful 20 years at BSH Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances he held a number of managerial positions in product and distribution aras, including Head of Global Marketing Cooking Division. In emerging markets he was latterly CEO for the Asia Pacific India regions. Dirk Hoffmann holds a degree in electrical engineering from the University of the Armed Forces in Munich.
The appointments of Jürg Werner as Chairman of the Board of V-ZUG AG and of Dirk Hoffmann as CEO and Member of the Group Management complete the adjustment to the industrial management structure of the Metall Zug Group.
