Warranty information

10-year warranty You receive a two-year warranty plus an eight-year extended warranty (2+8) on every new V-ZUG product starting from the date of purchase.

What is covered? The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects within normal household usage. During the warranty period, any such defects will be remedied without charge. It includes the costs of labour and travel as well as replacement materials. At its sole discretion, V-ZUG may elect to either repair or replace the product with an equivalent product or, in exceptional circumstances, a partial refund of the purchase price. Any other claims are excluded.

Where is the warranty valid? The warranty is only valid in the country where the V-ZUG product was purchased from an authorised V-ZUG partner and introduced to the market (country) by V-ZUG, and either V-ZUG itself or an authorised V-ZUG service provider offers services in that country concerned. If appliances are shipped to other countries, the technical conditions (e.g. mains voltage, frequency) or the climatic and environmental conditions of the concerned country may cause problems. Therefore, we reserve the right to refuse the warranty for appliances not certified for the concerned country.

What is not covered? The warranty does not cover damage occurring from transport, handling, storing or installing the appliance contrary to the specifications, improper use, inadequate care (e.g. scratches on aesthetic parts as door glass, hob glass and enamelled parts), external influences, consequential and indirect damage resulting from an appliance malfunction, force majeure and reasons beyond the control of V-ZUG. Any work carried out by a service provider not authorised by V-ZUG, and using spare parts other than the original V-ZUG spare parts, void the obligations under warranty. In addition, the following restrictions apply during the extended commercial warranty:

  • Replacement of wear parts such as light bulbs, filters, door seals, fuses or similar.

  • Replacement of aesthetic parts such as door glass, hob glass, enamelled parts or similar because of natural changes in colour due to usage.

  • Replacement of accessories such as baking trays, wire shelves, food probes or similar.

The contractual or legal claims against the product seller are not affected by this warranty.
