Swiss origin

Born in Zug in 1913, this is where we design, create and manufacture products that bring simplicity to your home and inspiration to your kitchen. Today and for the years to come.

As a company, when the brand name coincides with that of the location in which you operate, you feel a mix of pride and responsibility. For the community you are part of and for your impact on people and resources. We are here to stay. And committed to keep investing.

  • Industrial craftsmanship

Switzerland is renowned for its heritage in craftsmanship. Keeping true to this tradition, precision in design and engineering is essential to us. Blending skilled workmanship and high-tech production techniques in our facilities in Zug and Sulgen, ensures this becomes tangible in all our products.

  • Carbon neutral production*

How do you become carbon neutral? We source an ever-increasing proportion of our energy from renewable resources, invest in new, more efficient production lines and our V-Forest reforestation programme offsets any residual emissions.

The factory goes vertical

The factory goes vertical

While skyscrapers and high-rises have long existed for living and working, the idea of a vertical factory is less common. Already a pioneer in urban manufacturing, V-ZUG is now launching a six-floor factory: the Zephyr Ost.
  • Committed to Swiss production

V-ZUG develops and manufactures most of its products in Switzerland. We made a choice to stay here. To ensure we are fit for the future, we are part of a visionary and nearly utopian urban manufacturing project: Tech Cluster Zug. Aiming for state-of-the-art manufacturing and reducing the industrial footprint led us to build up our own vertical factory and even build a multi-energy hub.

  • Sulgen, the most modern cooling plant in Europe

Our presence in Switzerland goes beyond Zug. We are proud to have opened 2022 the most modern European cooling factory in Sulgen. Both products and processes are committed to being as sustainable as possible. May it be on the appliance's energy efficiency or the carbon neutrality of production.*

The new appliance from V-ZUG, the CombiSteamer V6000 45M PowerSteam, requires some very specific know-how to assemble. The very small specialist team includes Adriano Pirisi as Head of Steamer Production and his colleague Stefan Budak. We paid them a visit.

*V-ZUG has been carbon-neutral at all of its production sites since 2020 after introducing a range of measures to reduce emissions and compensate for its CO2 output through the “V-Forest” reforestation project (high-quality removal certificates). This includes direct emissions from Scope 1 (combustibles, fuels, etc.), indirect emissions from Scope 2 (the purchase of electricity and district heating), and business flights from Scope 3. These scopes are in alignment with the definitions laid out in the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. The term “carbon neutrality” corresponds to the definition laid out in the glossary published by the IPCC.

A key component of the climate strategy is the internal, voluntary CO2 incentive tax, which has been in force since 2018 (CHF 120 per ton of CO₂) on the scopes described above. The effect of this incentive tax is ongoing. Ambitious targets to reduce the remaining emissions have been in place since 2020. Measures are being taken on a continuous basis, and their status is reported annually.

Detailed information is available in the annual Climate Report.
