Should I choose a vented dryer or a condenser dryer?
It depends: for a vented dryer, you'll need to install an air duct leading outside from where you intend to place the dryer.
Can I use the tumble dryer for highly delicate items?
This is what you've been waiting for. The «ultra care» programme dries your delicate items at 55°C in just 90 minutes. A piece of advice: treat your laundry with even more care by giving it ample space in the washing drum.
Can V-ZUG washing machines help me keep creases out of my laundry?
Our anti-crease programme is yet another highlight of the comprehensive V-ZUG laundry care range. It is designed primarily for blouses, shirts, T-shirts and cotton trousers that are treated for 20 minutes. Put the items on hangers while they are still slightly damp. Iron them lightly if required and they will look as good as new.
My dishes are still not clean when they come out of the dishwasher – what can I do?
There are a number of reasons for unsatisfactory cleaning results. The most common are listed below: - Too many dishes are packed too closely together in the dishwasher, preventing the water jets from the spray nozzles from reaching every part of the dishes and resulting in spray shadows. Spray shadows are surfaces on dishes that have been missed by the water jet and are therefore not cleaned. - The dishwasher's spray arms are blocked, meaning that the water spray pressure is too low for proper cleaning. In this case, you can simply remove the spray arms (see the operating instructions) and clean the nozzles under the tap. - Select the RinsePlus user setting on the dishwasher. RinsePlus increases the amount of water and extends the programme duration.
Is there anything that may NOT be filled in the OptiDos dispenser?
Yes. Powder detergent, tabs, Javelle water or comparable bleaches may not be filled in the containers.
How is the correct dosing volume of liquid detergent set?
As standard, we recommend entering the dosing volume of the detergent manufacturer for 4–5 kg of laundry, medium soiling and the local water hardness in the machine. In most cases, the recommended dosing volume of the manufacturer can be found in a table on the rear of the packaging.
What can be filled in the OptiDos dispensers?
The following liquid detergents may be added to each dispenser: Universal detergent, colour detergent, fine detergent, softener, wool detergent, baby detergent, detergent for black clothes, detergent for white clothes, outdoor detergent. The dispensers can be flexibly filled according to personal requirements. Both dispensers with detergent, both dispensers with softener, one dispenser of detergent and one dispenser of softener, only one dispenser used with detergent or softener. The dispensers are also easily emptied if necessary and filled with another agent.
How many washes can be done with the content of an OptiDos tank before it needs to be refilled?
Both OptiDos dispensers can each be filled with 1.2 l of liquid detergent or softener. OptiDos calculates the optimum dosing volume according to the selected programme and the laundry volume in the drum. No excessive or insufficient dosage ever again!Examples: Slightly soiled laundry, at medium water hardness, manufacturer’s dosing recommendation is 60 ml. This means that you can wash up to 20 times without refilling. Normally soiled laundry, at soft water hardness, manufacturer’s dosing recommendation is 95 ml. Here, up to 12 washes can be done without refilling (the number of washes depends on the dosing recommendation of the detergent, the laundry volume in the drum, water hardness, degree of soiling).
I have some items of clothing that I’m unsure about putting in the washing machine. Does the machine have programmes that can handle them correctly?
Yes. Hand wash, WetClean and wool programmes are available, and it’s also possible to activate additional functions such as Easy care.

Why am I not able to use all the functions of the appliance via the V-ZUG app?
There may be various reasons for this:
For security reasons, specific functionality may only be used on the appliance.
The functionality has not yet been implemented and will be added in a future version.
For other technical reasons that make it more user friendly to keep the functionality on the appliance.
Why am I not able to start the appliance remotely with the V-ZUG app?
It is currently not possible to start the appliance remotely for security reasons. You must always confirm your selected programmes and recipes on the appliances in order to start them. We are developing ways in which to enable this functionality in the future.
Can you install an extra-high dishwasher under any circumstances?
Theoretically yes. Please discuss this option with your specialist dealer.
The V-ZUG-Home symbol on my appliance is never lit. What does this mean?
V-ZUG-Home mode is deactivated.
I would like to use dishwasher tabs. Is there anything in particular that I need to consider?
All-in-1 tabs consist of pressed amounts of powder/rinse agent and salt. Because the substances are pressed, they cannot dissolve quickly enough to achieve their full cleaning effect when used in fast programmes. The amounts of rinse aid and salt are also not enough to achieve the best possible cleaning result. This is why it is essential to add additional salt and rinse aid to the dishwasher! V-ZUG's dishwashers are equipped with the All in 1 function, which can be used with tabs of any kind. You can activate this function for any V-ZUG dishwasher via the user settings. With this function, the dishwasher automatically extends the programme duration by a maximum of 10 minutes for very short programmes, and extends the final drying time by a maximum of 15 minutes. This enables the tabs to dissolve and achieve their full cleaning effect. The All in 1 function also automatically adjusts the use of salt and rinse aid, reducing it by 50 %, and guarantees excellent cleaning and drying results every time!
DualDry: why is the moisture control programme restricted to a maximum of 7 days?
This restriction prevents the appliance from being used as a construction dryer. This is not what it is designed for. The running time has an influence on the components and can also be considered a safety issue. A period of 7 days has been defined as once a week is generally considered sufficient for washing and drying.
What different types of fridges are available?
There are refrigerators with or without an internal freezer compartment, pure freezers, refrigerator/freezer combinations, and wine coolers. Under-counter refrigerators are fitted underneath worktops in studio apartments or small flats. Conventional refrigerators are integrated into tall cupboards. These are available as fully integrated versions as well as in White or Nero. The real colossus of the refrigerator world comes in the form of the FoodCenter, whose features even include an ice maker for ice cubes, crushed ice or iced water in addition to a gigantic refrigerator compartment. We also offer luxury refrigerators and freezers in the Supreme line, whose sheer space and flexibility make them ideal for stocking up.When I try to connect to the appliance with the V-ZUG app via Bluetooth, no code appears and the connection fails.
Please switch Bluetooth on and off again.
If this does not help, unpair all paired V-ZUG Bluetooth devices in the Bluetooth menu on the mobile phone and try again.

How can I keep meat, fish and sausages fresh for a longer period of time?
The FreshControl Zone provides the optimum conditions for storing meat, fish, poultry and sausages for longer at temperatures around freezing point, meaning you can enjoy fresh food without having to go out shopping every day. Often referred to as the 0-degree zone, the FreshControl Zone is perfect for this when humidity is low.Why do I need a Bluetooth and a WLAN connection when connecting the appliance with the V-ZUG app? Which one is active and when?
For security reasons, the Bluetooth connection is required for initial pairing and for functions that can only be carried out in the vicinity of the appliance. Therefore it is only active as long as you are in the vicinity of the appliance.
The appliance’s WLAN connection is always active. If remote access is not set up, you must be in the same WLAN network as your mobile phone or tablet. If remote access is set up, you only need an active connection to the Internet with your mobile phone or tablet.
How much water does a dishwasher consume compared to doing the dishes by hand?
A dishwasher is such a valuable domestic helper that you can hardly imagine life without it. In recent years, dishwasher's water and energy consumption has been significantly reduced. This means that having an appliance clean the dishes is no longer just a time saver. Today, it is also much more economical and better for the environment than doing the dishes by hand. To clean the amount of dishes a ZUG Adora tackles in a single wash cycle, you would consume up to 40 litres of water, while the Adora manages with just 12.
The V-ZUG-Home symbol on my appliance is flashing. What does this mean?
There can be various reasons for this. The flashing frequency and type provide information about this:
Slow flashing when the screen is switched on (1s on, 1s off): V-ZUG Home mode is active, but there is no connection to the WLAN. If the appliance has already been claimed and does not reconnect, follow the instructions for "I cannot connect to my appliance."
Irregular, short flashes: Data is being transferred to the appliance. This is normal and only indicates activity.
Rapid flashing when the screen is switched on (1/4s on, 1/4s off): Ready for Bluetooth connection, is only active during claiming.
What are the advantages of having a steamer?
A steamer allows for gentle steam cooking that does not wash out valuable vitamins, minerals and flavours from your food. The unpressurised steaming process operates at temperatures between 30 and 100 °C to enable simple, precision cooking. A smart climate sensor allows the food to be steamed in the best possible conditions, regardless of the amount. The colours are preserved perfectly. Ideal for a healthy and balanced diet.
What exactly is the vibration absorbing system (VAS)?
With the new Adora model, VAS compensates an unbalanced load during the spinning phase. This means the machine runs particularly smoothly and quietly. Structure-borne sound and its transmission to adjacent rooms are greatly reduced, which makes the Adora ideal for use in apartments or in buildings with an air-proof envelope such as those built according to the MINERGIE® standard. As documented by official tests, the V-ZUG Adora with VAS conforms perfectly to the stringent requirements of SIA standard 181.
Can I also connect the dishwasher to a hot water supply?
You can set up our dishwashers for use with hot water. To do this, you will need to select the hot water function in the user settings. The dishwasher will now work in an operating mode adapted for use with hot water.
What should I do if an error message such as A1 appears on the display?

What is the purpose of the bottle drawer with removable drinks basket?
This additional cooling zone offers storage room for beverages at a pleasant drinking temperature. The extractable bottle drawer running on rails is particularly convenient. It contains a removable basket with space for six bottles. Its somewhat higher temperature makes this bottom compartment ideal for cold-sensitive food such as potatoes and exotic fruit.Is there enough space to put a 2-litre PET bottle in the fridge?
Even 2-litre bottles can be stored easily and securely.What exactly is dynamic circulation cooling?
Dynamic circulation cooling ensures an even distribution and circulation of cool air in a large cooling space. This means more flexibility in placing food in the cooling space, as well as shorter cooling times.
What is the purpose of the textile type programme?
The Adora SLQ and Adora SL models automatically select the appropriate wash programme for different types of laundry such as jeans, baby clothes or net curtains. The baby garments programme, for example, ensures that your little one's clothes turn out perfectly hygienically clean. Microbiological tests by the Veritas laboratory have confirmed its effectiveness.
Why do I need the Indoor Ice System (IDI)?
The IDI is a convenient way of dispensing ice cubes, ice chips and ice water. The sensor-controlled ice cube maker automatically provides the correct amount. The IDI is integrated into the fridge door instead of the freezer, which means you gain 20% of freezer space.What is the purpose of the NoFrost technology built into FoodCenter models?
NoFrost technology means you'll never have to manually defrost your fridge again. All of our FoodCenter models are fitted with NoFrost technology, which means they defrost automatically at regular intervals.What about the consumption values / energy efficiency of ovens and steamers?
All ovens and steamers have an efficiency rating of A or higher. The higher the comfort level, the better the energy label.
Are there any refrigerators with multiple temperature zones and what advantages do they offer?
Some of our refrigerators feature three different temperature zones. In addition to the freezer compartment and the main refrigerator compartment, the Magnum 2 60i and Cooltronic 60i eco refrigerators, for example, also offer a cold storage compartment with infinitely variable humidity control (0-degree zone), in which food stays fresh up to three times longer. The Noblesse 60i eco and the DeLuxe 60i both feature a bottom compartment complete with bottle drawer (8–12°C) in which food that is sensitive to the cold (such as potatoes) can be stored at a mild temperature and drinks can be kept at a pleasant drinking temperature. How does the regeneration operating mode work?
The cooking chamber is heated by steam and hot air. The food is reheated gently without drying it out. This feature is suitable for reheating cooked food or for cooking convenience products and ready meals. Regeneration can be carried out simultaneously on several levels with no flavour transfer.
How does the «Tip and go» function work?
You select a main programme by pressing a singlebutton. This means all the required settings are automatically chosen. If desired, you can select additional programmes or functions by pressing the corresponding buttons. If no button is pressed within 20 seconds, the programme selected will start automatically.
How does the hot air operating mode on the steamer work?
A heating element behind the hot air diffuser plate heats up the air inside the cooking chamber, which is circulated evenly. The feature is suitable for cakes, biscuits, bread and roasted meat on two levels. Set the temperature approx. 20 °C lower than for top/bottom heat.
What is the purpose of a hob with three cooking zones?
As steamers are becoming increasingly popular, we have found that people tend to use fewer pots and pans in their cooking. This is why we have introduced hobs featuring only three cooking zones that are more generously spaced.What are the different installation options for hobs?
Hobs that are fitted flush with the worktop achieve perfect aesthetic integration and create the impression of compact simplicity. Hobs with a set-off glass frame (bevel-edged) have a very elegant appearance, while chromium steel frames and over-large frames (for replacements) convince by their simplicity of installation and their classic design, they fit in a wide variety of kitchen combinations.Do I need to use special pans with an induction appliance? Are they expensive?
For induction to work, the base of the pan must be ferromagnetic. As induction hobs are quite popular, there is a broad range of available well-priced pans.
Does the AdoraDry V2000 have the same programmes as the Adora TL?
Not quite. The Down thick, Down thin, Bed linen, Outdoor programmes used very rarely by users have not been adopted. Making a clearer distinction between the V2000 and the V4000.
Why does the V6000 model not exist with OptiDos?
Due to the heat pump, it is not possible to implement it in the AdoraWash V6000 due to a lack of space.
What material is the ventilation duct of the DSMS hob hood made from?
The material is a flame-retardant plastic blend, which is self-extinguishing with a V0 classification as per the UL94 standard.How does the hot air humid operating mode on the steamer work?
A heating element behind the hot air diffuser plate heats up the air inside the cooking chamber, which is circulated evenly. Any moisture escaping from the food is kept to a minimum within the cooking chamber. The food retains its moisture. The feature is suitable for gratins, casseroles, bread and yeast pastries on two levels.
How does the hot air with steaming operating mode work?
A heating element behind the hot air diffuser plate heats up the air inside the cooking chamber, which is circulated evenly. Steam is then introduced into the cooking chamber. The use of steam can improve heat transfer to the food. Incidentally, steam over 100 °C is not visible. The programme is particularly suitable for gratins, casseroles, meat, frozen products, chestnuts, puff and yeast pastry, bread and convenience products on 1 or 2 levels.
Limescale deposits require a lot of cleaning – how do I deal with them?
The external steam generator ensures that the only thing that can get into the interior is steam. As steam doesn’t leave limescale residue, you don’t have to worry about this when using the V-ZUG steamer. Cleaning is made so much easier, as there’s no limescale to remove from the interior. What’s more, the water tank for the steamers in the Excellence Line has a perfectly smooth surface, which helps to prevent limescale deposits from forming.
How should I clean and empty my steamer after cooking?
After steaming, there will be both condense water in the cooking space and residual water in the internal water system. Once the cooking space has cooled to hand warm, use a soft cloth or sponge to remove condense water and any food particles. Wipe dry with a soft cloth. When the message, "Do not remove the water tank" disappears, the internal water system has emptied and the water tank may be removed, emptied and dried before reinserting. This should be done after a cooking session with steam. For dried-on soiling, the Steam cleaning or Intensive cleaning programmes make cleaning easier.
What kind of power connection do I need?
A normal 230 volt socket (T13 / 10 A secured).
How are the external steam generators descaled?
The external steam generator indicates when it should be descaled. This is dependent on water hardness and the level of use. An automated descaling programme will guide you through the simple process.
Do the steamers have a cleaning programme?
The new Excellence Line steamers and combi-steam cookers can be cleaned with little effort thanks to the stainless-steel cooking chamber. Guided programmes remove the dirt automatically. For tough soiling, we have developed a special cleaning solution – the SteamerCleaner.
Should I use fabric conditioner if I want to dry my laundry in the tumble dryer?
Do not use fabric conditioner if drying the washing in a tumble dryer, unless the manufacturer states otherwise. Tumble drying automatically leaves the washing soft and fluffy to the touch. Using fabric conditioner can cause a thin, barely visible film to form on the drum and humidity sensors. This can lead to malfunctions and prevent the appliance from achieving the required degree of dryness.
Why is the grinding so important for a perfect cup of coffee?
Apart from the quality of the coffee beans and the blend, the right grinding technique is crucial. The more evenly the coffee is ground and dosed, the better the result. The highly innovative new ceramic grinder of the Supremo SL meets these requirements and is extremely durable. And it has another great benefit: it is very quiet.
It is possible to dry laundry in the drum and in the room at the same time?
No, only one operating mode works at a time.
What is V-ZUG TopClean?
TopClean is a specially developed coating that is applied on top of the enamel inside the cooking space and on baking trays. This added layer gives the surface excellent non-stick properties, making cleaning much easier. Most residue can be removed using a damp cloth and mild detergent, which reduces the need for harsh cleaning agents and extensive scrubbing.
How does pyrolytic self-cleaning work?
Ovens with pyrolytic features practically clean themselves: Dirt is converted into ash by the special pyrolytic self-cleaning programme, which heats the cooking chamber to extremely high temperatures. The ash can then be wiped away with a damp cloth. Pyrolytic self-cleaning is available as an option in all appliances in convenience level V4000 or above.
Are appliances with AutoDoor a safety risk for unsupervised children?
No. If the appliance door reaches its stopping point or encounters resistance, movement is stopped. The appliance door is uncoupled from the drive at a certain angle and can be moved freely. If an appliance door with AutoDoor is stopped manually, you must press the button again or close the appliance door manually to reset it.
How many hobs can I connect to a range hood via Bluetooth?
Up to three hobs at the same time.What is the moisture control programme?
The moisture control programme automatically starts the room air laundry drying over 7 days if the appliance detects an increase in humidity. The target humidity in the room can be set between 50% and 60%.
How do I connect my hob to the range hood so that I can use OptiLink?
Connecting, or pairing, your V-ZUG built-in range hood with our networkable hobs is a breeze.Can I adjust the colour temperature for the range hood lighting?
Yes you can – various range hoods have the FlexLED function. This allows you to easily adjust the colour temperature, from a warm-white 2700 to a cool 4000 kelvin. This feature creates the perfect atmosphere in harmony with the kitchen lighting and can be individually tailored to all kinds of lighting concepts.
What makes the extractor hoods particularly user-friendly?
We recommend conveying the extracted air outside wherever possible, as this carries smells away from the kitchen. The most effective solution is to use an exhaust system (duct) with a diameter of 150 mm.
Can you clean the metal grease filters in the dishwasher?
All metal grease filters should be cleaned at least once every two months (more frequently in the event of intensive use, and at the latest when the noise increases). Range hoods with saturation indicators on the display remind you to clean them regularly. You can soak the metal grease filter by hand and clean it with gentle detergent. It can, of course, also be cleaned in the dishwasher – simply choose an intensive programme. If you choose to wash the filter in the dishwasher, do not place any other crockery in the dishwasher.What is the metal grease filter saturation indicator?
Some range hoods are equipped with a warning light that shows you when the metal grease filter needs to be cleaned. The operating hours counter can be used to roughly estimate whether the metal grease filter is full or not.How do I link up my appliance?

No, for security reasons, the smartphone or tablet must be on the same home network as the V-ZUG appliance. However, you will still receive notifications even when your device is not connected to the home network.

Why do dishwashers need a hygiene programme?
The hygiene programme is designed for particularly sensitive items such as cutting boards and baby bottles.
Is liquid detergent still the trend or will there be a switch to tabs?
The trend is currently for liquid detergents and is moving away from powder. Tabs are hardly a thing yet when it comes to laundry. Percentages: 68% liquid, 26% powder and 6% caps/tabs (source: Mibelle Group, October 2018)
Why are grease stains or other stains left on the washed laundry?
We recommend checking the dosage setting of the selected OptiDos dispenser and, if necessary, adjusting it in accordance with the currently used agent. Here, we recommend the quantity stated by the manufacturer for 4–5 kg of laundry. The water hardness set may also need to be checked or a powder-based wool detergent (contains bleach) used.
What detergent is the right one for my selected programme?
V-ZUG OptiDos supports the detergent selection with an intuitive, unique selection aid. It uses a symbol to show which detergent from the OptiDos dispenser suits the selected programme best.

Do I have to stay connected to the 2.4 GHz WLAN with my smartphone after setup to use the V-ZUG app?
No, after successful setup you can use both frequencies. The appliance remains connected to the 2.4 GHz WLAN. However, make sure that the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WLAN are in the same local network, otherwise only remote access is possible. This is the case if both WLAN networks are running on the same router.
I suffer from allergies. Can a washing machine help me cope with them?
The anti-mite programme eradicates mites and allergens – importantly, that includes house dust mite excretions, which are linked to respiratory problems. These unwelcome house guests are incredibly resilient, but they are completely wiped out by the anti-mite programme found in AdoraWash and Unimatic product lines. The results are so good that even technical institutes are sharing them.
How do the washing machines stand out in terms of energy efficiency?
The energy label provides information about this. Three factors are measured in washing machines – energy consumption, washing performance and spin efficiency. All V-ZUG washing machines have achieved an A+++ rating in energy efficiency.
I don’t often have much time for washing. Are there any fast programmes available?
Yes, there are – the 40 °C and 60 °C Sprint programmes. Both of these are able to run with very little water and are gentle on your washing.
I have sensitive skin that reacts to any traces of detergent left on my washing. How can my washing machine help with this?
Around 30% of the Swiss population have sensitive skin, which means that they need their laundry to be washed even more thoroughly than usual. The steam anti-crease additional programme can be selected with a large number of washing programmes. The integrated heating function gently treats shirts, blouses, skirts and other items with steam generated at the end of the wash cycle. This makes ironing faster and more convenient – and sometimes even removes the need for it altogether.
Is there a special programme for woollens?
Yes, there is. The wool programme has been specially designed to treat woollen fabrics extremely gently during the wash cycle and with a much lower spin speed. This produces fantastic results while putting the wool under as little strain as possible.
Where are the language settings for the V-ZUG app?
The language settings depend on the setting on your smartphone or tablet. Selecting the region during onboarding has no influence on the language.

Yes, absolutely! The salt is needed to regenerate the dishwasher's integrated softening unit. The softening unit descales the water that flows through the dishwasher. If the water is not descaled, limescale builds up on the integrated components in the dishwasher. The all-in-1 tabs only soften the water which enters the dishwasher when a programme is selected. This is only partly effective, as each tab contains only a limited amount of salt.
Do I still need to add a rinse aid to the dishwasher if I am using all-in-1 tabs?
Yes, absolutely. For optimum cleaning and drying results, we always recommend adding rinse aid to the dishwasher. The amount of rinse aid in the tabs is not sufficient to achieve optimum drying results.
Can I put all dishes in the dishwasher?
We recommend the following: Not all dishes are suitable for cleaning in a dishwasher. - Wash items made of wood or plastic that are sensitive to alkalis or heat by hand. - Earthenware tends to crack and splinter. - Glass and porcelain prints are only resistant to a limited extent and may dissolve over time. - Glass can become cloudy depending on the type and the detergent used. Check with your glass supplier whether the glass is dishwasher-safe. - Tension may develop in polished and thick-walled crystal glasses and bowls, which may lead to breakages. - Do not wash dishes with stickers. Dissolved stickers can block the filter system. - Objects made of silver, copper and tin tend to stain brown or black. - Aluminium tends to form stains. Wash aluminium separately or by hand.
What kind of design is recommended? Should I choose a framed hob or one that is flush with the worktop?
