How many washes can be done with the content of an OptiDos tank before it needs to be refilled?
Both OptiDos dispensers can each be filled with 1.2 l of liquid detergent or softener. OptiDos calculates the optimum dosing volume according to the selected programme and the laundry volume in the drum. No excessive or insufficient dosage ever again!Examples: Slightly soiled laundry, at medium water hardness, manufacturer’s dosing recommendation is 60 ml. This means that you can wash up to 20 times without refilling. Normally soiled laundry, at soft water hardness, manufacturer’s dosing recommendation is 95 ml. Here, up to 12 washes can be done without refilling (the number of washes depends on the dosing recommendation of the detergent, the laundry volume in the drum, water hardness, degree of soiling).
I have some items of clothing that I’m unsure about putting in the washing machine. Does the machine have programmes that can handle them correctly?
Yes. Hand wash, WetClean and wool programmes are available, and it’s also possible to activate additional functions such as Easy care.
I suffer from allergies. Can a washing machine help me cope with them?
The anti-mite programme eradicates mites and allergens – importantly, that includes house dust mite excretions, which are linked to respiratory problems. These unwelcome house guests are incredibly resilient, but they are completely wiped out by the anti-mite programme found in AdoraWash and Unimatic product lines. How do the washing machines stand out in terms of energy efficiency?
The energy label provides information about this. Three factors are measured in washing machines – energy consumption, washing performance and spin efficiency. All V-ZUG washing machines have achieved an A+++ rating in energy efficiency.
I don’t often have much time for washing. Are there any fast programmes available?
Yes, there are – the 40 °C and 60 °C Sprint programmes. Both of these are able to run with very little water and are gentle on your washing.
I have sensitive skin that reacts to any traces of detergent left on my washing. How can my washing machine help with this?
Around 30% of the Swiss population have sensitive skin, which means that they need their laundry to be washed even more thoroughly than usual. The skin protection programme in AdoraWash appliances is there to help with this by using a specially optimised rinsing procedure and ensuring that water penetrates the laundry extremely effectively. The V-ZUG Special Care Drum also whisks away any remaining traces of detergent. These features help to make skin irritation and itching from leftover detergent a thing of the past.
Why does the washing drum have so many holes?

Ergonomic cooking is important to me. What do I need to consider?
Make sure the cooking zones are generously spaced so the pans don't touch. We'd recommend a hob with cooking zones in a V- or A-shaped alignment. You might also consider a panorama hob, where the cooking zones are positioned in a single line for easy access.
Are there health risks involved with using induction hobs?
In spite of a great number of studies, scientists so far have found no proof that electromagnetic fields pose any environmental or health risks. Induction hobs are impressively fast. They react quickly and are finely adjustable, which means liquids will rarely boil over, if ever. What should I bear in mind when planning and installing an exhaust duct?
The exhaust duct should be as short as possible and have as few bends and curves as possible. Ideally, it should have a diameter of 150 mm. Each additional metre added to the exhaust duct and each additional bend will create resistance, reducing the power of the range hood. A more powerful range hood cannot compensate for a poorly designed exhaust duct. This will only result in increased losses and noise levels. Reducing the diameter of the exhaust duct should be avoided where possible – due to the increased flow rate, this will also lead to increased noise levels.Washing laundry at 20°C is becoming increasingly popular. Steam and odours rise at a maximum rate of one metre per second. The V-ZUG hob hood or hob with integrated range hood extracts the air using a cross current that is higher than the rising speed of the cooking vapour. Cooking vapours can be extracted without any problems in the case of pots up to 20 cm tall. How do I prevent the formation of mould?
Mould is caused by excess humidity in the room. Whenever laundry is hung up, the room air laundry drying function should be started to remove the humidity from the room. Alternatively, the moisture control programme can also be selected.

You can use your microwave in combined mode to prepare a gratin, lasagne, cake or baked potatoes, or bake bread and puff pastry using only the hot air mode. The possibilities are endless. Compared to a regular oven, meals in microwaves take only two-thirds to half the time in combined mode.
Is there anything in particular I need to consider when cooking with microwaves?
With certain foods such as potatoes or tomatoes, make sure you puncture the peel several times so the steam building up inside them can escape. Also, you should cover your food with wrapping film or a lid. Puncture the film lightly before cooking. Certain foods such as vegetables require you to stir them a few times or add some water during cooking.
How high is the laundry hanger installed?
Ideally so that the dry air flow of the DualDry flows directly on the laundry. However, the laundry also dries if the positioning is less ideal. The customer is free to install the hangar as they like. In an apartment building, the washing line is usually at a height of 180 - 190 cm. Do not use fabric conditioner if drying the washing in a tumble dryer, unless the manufacturer states otherwise. Tumble drying automatically leaves the washing soft and fluffy to the touch. Using fabric conditioner can cause a thin, barely visible film to form on the drum and humidity sensors. This can lead to malfunctions and prevent the appliance from achieving the required degree of dryness.
Does the unit have a discharge pump?
Yes, a discharge pump is installed. The maximum feed height of the discharge height is 1.2 m.
It is possible to dry laundry in the drum and in the room at the same time?
No, only one operating mode works at a time.

Should I leave the windows and doors open or closed when using the range hood?
Range hoods need enough replacement air to guarantee optimum extraction performance. You can ensure this by opening a window or incorporating a replacement air unit. If there is insufficient replacement air, this can create negative pressure (a vacuum) – the range hood will become significantly louder and it will have difficulty conveying the cooking odours outside.
Do I need to air the room when I use my range hood?
You should always ensure there is a supply of replacement air when the range hood is running. In the case of a recirculation air range hood, this enables air that is still moist after passing through the filters to be replaced. In extracted air solutions, an open window helps to optimise the air flow and prevents negative pressure building up in the kitchen.
Does the room need to be closed?
An optimal drying process during room air laundry drying is guaranteed in rooms where the windows and doors are closed. This reduces the penetration of humid air from the outside.
Does the DualDry also work in unheated rooms?
An optimal drying result is reached at a room temperature of 10-30°C. In rooms with very low temperatures, the function may be restricted. The DualDry may not be used under 8°C.
Why is the DualDry laundry hanger arranged in the shape of a star?
A star-shaped installation facilitates an optimal air flow. This results in a faster drying process.
Does the choice of detergent have an influence on the drying time?
No, the drying time is not changed by the use of different detergents.
My dishwasher has an unpleasant odour – what can I do?
To remove unpleasant odours, you can take the following steps. Remove the filter and clean it thoroughly. Select a more powerful programme, such as the Intensive programme. Refill the regenerating salt. Run the Pre-rinsing programme from time to time. Buy a commercially available dishwasher cleaner and add this using the Intensive programme.
What kind of regeneration salt do I need to use for the dishwasher?
You can use either fine or coarse-grained regular regeneration salt.
Is there a programme that automatically detects the degree of soiling?
Yes, our ingenious automatic wash programme continuously measures how dirty the dishes are and adapts the washing process accordingly. This ensures the appliance only uses the amount of time and resources required to get the dishes perfectly clean.

20 years ago, our dishwashers would still use 38 litres of water. Now, our SL line dishwashers start from as little as 5 litres of water in the Automatic programme.

What is the capacity of a dishwasher?
Dishwasher capacity is given in the form of place settings, which constitute a standardised value. A place setting comprises a certain number of plates, glasses, cups, cutlery, bowls and other items. Our dishwashers are able to accommodate between 12 and 14 place settings depending on the model.
What is the difference between integrated and fully integrated dishwashers?
With integrated dishwashers, the operating panel is visible. This is particularly useful for ChromeClass/AluClass models, as they also function as design elements. If you're in a hurry, for example during a party, the Adora SL's sprint programme will clean your dishes in just 19 minutes. And when we say clean, we mean spick and span.
Would you recommend installing a dishwasher in an elevated position?
If there is sufficient space in a tall cabinet, an elevated position can be very useful as there is no need to bend down in order to load and empty the dishwasher. Just remember that the maximum length of the armoured hose is three metres.

There may be various reasons for this:
For security reasons, specific functionality may only be used on the appliance.
The functionality has not yet been implemented and will be added in a future version.
For other technical reasons that make it more user friendly to keep the functionality on the appliance.
Why am I not able to start the appliance remotely with the V-ZUG app?
It is currently not possible to start the appliance remotely for security reasons. You must always confirm your selected programmes and recipes on the appliances in order to start them. We are developing ways in which to enable this functionality in the future.
Which appliances can I connect to the V-ZUG app?
Many appliances built from 2015 onwards can be connected to the V-ZUG app. However, you can enter your serial number and add your appliance offline in order to register your warranty or view the manual.
The V-ZUG-Home symbol on my appliance is always lit. What does this mean?
V-ZUG-Home mode is active, and the appliance is connected to the WLAN.
The V-ZUG-Home symbol on my appliance is never lit. What does this mean?
V-ZUG-Home mode is deactivated.
I have no remote access connection via the V-ZUG app. What can I do?
Check whether there is an active Internet connection and whether the appliance is accessible in the home network.
Remove the appliance from your V-ZUG-Home account and try to reconnect it. If this fails, there is no connection to the server. Try again later.
Problems may occur in certain networks, for example if a firewall prevents the connection or if the network is weak.
Why does the V-ZUG app remote access not work equally well with all appliances?
Remote access has been extensively tested and works for all devices that are equipped with it. If problems occur, check whether it is possible to update the appliances software. Local conditions can also make the connection more difficult, such as the location of the appliance.
When I try to connect to the appliance with the V-ZUG app via Bluetooth, no code appears and the connection fails.
Please switch Bluetooth on and off again.
If this does not help, unpair all paired V-ZUG Bluetooth devices in the Bluetooth menu on the mobile phone and try again.
Please restart the appliance and try again.
Where are the language settings for the V-ZUG app?
The language settings depend on the setting on your smartphone or tablet. Selecting the region during onboarding has no influence on the language.
To change the language in the app, please set the desired language in your mobile phone or tablet settings.
Why do I need a Bluetooth and a WLAN connection when connecting the appliance with the V-ZUG app? Which one is active and when?
For security reasons, the Bluetooth connection is required for initial pairing and for functions that can only be carried out in the vicinity of the appliance. Therefore it is only active as long as you are in the vicinity of the appliance.
The appliance’s WLAN connection is always active. If remote access is not set up, you must be in the same WLAN network as your mobile phone or tablet. If remote access is set up, you only need an active connection to the Internet with your mobile phone or tablet.
Are favourites synchronised between the V-ZUG app and the appliance?
Favourites are currently not synchronised between the app and the appliance. We are working on new functionalities that will enable this in the future.
