Warranty information

10-year warranty You receive a two-year warranty plus an eight-year commercial extended warranty on every new V-ZUG product starting from the date of purchase.

What is covered? The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects within normal household usage. During the warranty period, any such defects will be remedied without charge. It includes the costs of labour and travel as well as replacement materials. V-ZUG, at its sole discretion, may elect to either repair or replace the product with an equivalent product or, in exceptional circumstances, provide a partial refund of the purchase price. Any other claims are excluded.

Where is the warranty valid? The warranty is only valid in the country where the V-ZUG product was purchased and provided that either V-ZUG itself or an authorised service provider of V-ZUG offers services in the country concerned. If the V-ZUG product is shipped to other countries, the technical conditions (e.g. mains voltage, frequency) or the climatic and environmental conditions of the country concerned may cause problems. We, therefore, reserve the right to refuse the warranty for V-ZUG product that is not approved by the country concerned.

What is not covered? The warranty does not cover damage occurring from/caused by transportation, handling, storing or installing the V-ZUG product contrary to the specifications/requirements, improper use, misuse, neglect, inadequate care (e.g. scratches on aesthetic parts such as door glass, hob glass and enamelled parts), external factors, consequential and indirect damage resulting from the malfunctioning of the V-ZUG product, force majeure and causes beyond the control of V-ZUG.  

Any work carried out by a service provider not authorised by V-ZUG, and using parts other than the original V-ZUG parts would void V-ZUG’s obligations under the warranty.  In addition, the following will not be replaced during the extended warranty period:

  • wear parts such as light bulbs, filters, door seals, fuses etc.;

  • aesthetic parts such as door glass, hob glass, enamelled parts etc., which have decolourised due to usage; and

  • accessories such as baking trays, wire shelves, food probes etc.

The contractual or legal claims against the product seller are not affected by this warranty. The non-use or sparing use of the V-ZUG product does not justify a claim for a further warranty extension.

V‑ZUG Care / V‑ZUG Care+ guarantee information

5-year V‑ZUG Care / 5-year V‑ZUG Care+ guarantee  Purchasing a V‑ZUG Care guarantee package for a V‑ZUG product allows you to benefit from a 5-year guarantee starting from the product purchase date in accordance with the following conditions. Purchasing a V‑ZUG Care+ guarantee package for a V‑ZUG product within the first five years of the product being installed allows you to benefit from a 5-year guarantee from the date of purchasing V‑ZUG Care+. If a V‑ZUG Care warranty package has not been finalised in advance for the relevant V‑ZUG product, acquisition of the V‑ZUG Care+ warranty package is dependent on a favourable preliminary technical assessment by a service technician authorised by V‑ZUG.

What’s covered? The V‑ZUG Care and V‑ZUG Care+ guarantees cover material defects and manufacturing faults and include the rectification of such issues free of charge within the guarantee period. They also cover the cost of working and travelling time for service staff as well as replacement materials. At V‑ZUG’s discretion, the guarantee service may be provided either in the form of repair, replacement of equal value, refund, or reduction of the purchase price. No other claims will be considered under any circumstances.

Where are the V‑ZUG Care & V‑ZUG Care+ guarantees valid? The V‑ZUG Care and V‑ZUG Care+ guarantees are only valid in the country in which the corresponding V‑ZUG product has been approved and sold by an authorised V‑ZUG distributor, and on the condition that either V‑ZUG itself or an authorised V‑ZUG service centre offers V‑ZUG product services in that country. If V‑ZUG products are transported to countries other than those for which this product was originally approved, problems or defects may occur due to the technical conditions (such as mains voltage and frequency) or the climatic and environmental conditions in the country concerned. V‑ZUG therefore reserves the right to refuse to honour the V‑ZUG Care or V‑ZUG Care+ guarantees for V‑ZUG products that have not been approved for the relevant country.

What’s not covered?  In addition to the exclusions already defined in the guarantee conditions on the website, the following restrictions also apply:

  • Replacement of wear parts such as light bulbs, filters, door seals, food probe and fuses.

  • Replacement of aesthetic parts such as door glass, hob glass and enamelled parts as a result of damage, scratches and/or changes in colour.

  • Replacement of accessories such as baking trays, wire shelves/racks, or roller runners.

  • Consequential and indirect damage resulting from an appliance malfunction.

The contractual or legal claims against the distributor or seller of the V‑ZUG product shall remain unaffected by the V‑ZUG Care or V‑ZUG Care+ guarantee. Non-use or infrequent use of the V‑ZUG product shall not entitle the user to an extended guarantee.

Valid from 01 April 2021
