V‑ZUG know-how: FAQ

Yes, you need a V-ZUG-Home login, or you can use your social login (Google or Apple) to use the app.

The app runs on Android devices from version 13.0 and iOS devices (Apple) from version 17.0.

Access the user settings of the household appliance and select the V-ZUG-Home function. Depending on the appliance, the V-ZUG-Home modus can be found in the settings or consult the V-ZUG-Home manual for appliance specific variations.

You will find the V-ZUG-Home configuration in the user settings of each V-ZUG appliance. From there, you can set the V-ZUG-Home mode, read information and restore the factory settings for V-ZUG-Home.

The following functions can be controlled remotely via the V-ZUG app:

• Stop the current program

• Send recipes and programs to your oven or steamer

• Adjust certain user settings on your household appliance

• Download the app from the Apple App Store (Link) for iOS or Google Play Store (Link) for Android devices and install it on your smartphone or tablet

• Follow the instruction of the onboarding in the app

• Create or login with your V-ZUG-Home account or use your social logins

Yes, an internet connection is required for full utilisation of V-ZUG-Home and the V-ZUG app.

To display your V-ZUG appliance, activate V-ZUG-Home in the user settings of your household appliance. Next, download the V-ZUG app on your smartphone or tablet, register or login with your V-ZUG-Home account or social login and connect your appliance in the app.

Please ensure the following conditions are met:

• Ensure the router is switched on and that the smartphone/tablet can access the home network. Check if the WLAN symbol is visible on the smartphone/tablet.

• Is V-ZUG-Home activated on the household appliance?

• Has the V-ZUG app been downloaded?

• Can the app detect the household appliance?

• Is the smartphone/tablet connected to the WLAN (home network)?

• Is Bluetooth activated on the smartphone/tablet?

• Is 'Location' enabled?

• Has the PIN been entered correctly (6 digits)?

• Is the correct WLAN displayed? If not, the device may have poor WiFi reception.

• Has the WLAN password been entered correctly?

During room air laundry drying, the room air (and therefore the clothes) is dehumidified; to this end, a heat pump is used. The temperature of the air blown out is only slightly above the temperature of the room air. DualDry releases a heat capacity of some 350-400 W into the room during operation. This means that the air blown out in normal operation is 5 - 10°C higher than the room temperature, but it is not electronically heated, which results in very good energy efficiency values. If the DualDry blows out tangibly hot air, this is often caused by a clogged fluff filter. Only when drying in the drum is the laundry dried with heated air.

The energy saver programme reduces the washing temperature by 5°C, which results in an energy saving of 10%.

The appliance reports a fault. A9: Cleaning sieves and mats.

Very careful drying as drying is without heat and friction, walls kept dry and therefore no formation of mould, quick drying, no hanging in stuffy cellar rooms for days on end, possible to dry anything that can be stored in the room (e.g. tents, carpets, sleeping bags, covers).

With a heat pump tumble dryer, the drying takes place in a closed drum. The laundry is added to the drum and dried with the temperature of 55°C released by the integrated cooling circuit. With DualDry, the laundry is hung up on a washing line in the room. The DualDry blows dry air into the laundry items. They release the humidity into the room air. The humid room air is channelled via the evaporator installed in the DualDry. In doing so, the vapour in the air condensates on the cold evaporator surface. The dried and cooled air is then warmed up via the condenser and blown into the hanging laundry. DualDry uses the same heat pump to dehumidify the room air. However, the drying takes place at far lower temperatures.

As drying in a room takes place at low temperatures and the laundry in a room can be less efficiently streamed with air, drying laundry in a room can require slightly more energy than when drying in the drum.

Please switch Bluetooth on and off again.

If this does not help, unpair all paired V-ZUG Bluetooth devices in the Bluetooth menu on the mobile phone and try again.

Please restart the appliance and try again.

For security reasons, the Bluetooth connection is required for initial pairing and for functions that can only be carried out in the vicinity of the appliance. Therefore it is only active as long as you are in the vicinity of the appliance.

The appliance’s WLAN connection is always active. If remote access is not set up, you must be in the same WLAN network as your mobile phone or tablet. If remote access is set up, you only need an active connection to the Internet with your mobile phone or tablet.

There can be various reasons for this. The flashing frequency and type provide information about this:

• Slow flashing when the screen is switched on (1s on, 1s off): V-ZUG Home mode is active, but there is no connection to the WLAN. If the appliance has already been claimed and does not reconnect, follow the instructions for "I cannot connect to my appliance."

• Irregular, short flashes: Data is being transferred to the appliance. This is normal and only indicates activity.

• Rapid flashing when the screen is switched on (1/4s on, 1/4s off): Ready for Bluetooth connection, is only active during claiming.

Part load – the programme adapts to smaller loads. Far less water is consumed, with a saving of between 1 and 6 litres. The programme runtime is reduced by up to 30 minutes.

This programme is designed for homogenous loads - an entire machine full of terry towels or underwear, for example.

Use this programme if you're going to press your laundry (e. g. tablecloths) with a mangle after washing it.

You use this to loosen up delicate textiles. (Remove them immediately after the programme has completed.)

Fluff consists of fine threads produced by friction during the manufacturing, wearing and washing of textiles. This does not mean that the appliance puts an excessive strain on your laundry. Even with laundry dried on a line, fluff can be observed when you shake or iron it. While the laundry is wet, fluff clings to it. In the tumble dryer, the fluff is separated from the textiles and caught by the fluff filter in the door. The amount of fluff depends on the type of laundry, but finding some fluff in the filter after drying is quite normal.

The DualDry was implemented in accordance with the OptiDos appliance for the V4000. This means that the two new V-ZUG products can be perfectly combined with one another.Furthermore, it is more cost-effective to offer the DualDry with the V4000 than would be possible with the V6000.

This restriction prevents the appliance from being used as a construction dryer. This is not what it is designed for. The running time has an influence on the components and can also be considered a safety issue. A period of 7 days has been defined as once a week is generally considered sufficient for washing and drying.

The descale indicator only appears every 6 to 18 months depending on water hardness and level of use. The descale recommendation will not stop you using the appliance – you can continue to use it and choose when you descale it. The automatic descaling programme reduces the effort required to a few simple steps.

All appliances are guaranteed to have low external door temperatures. In the case of normal ovens and steamers, a triple-layer glass door ensures safe operation while cooking. Pyrolytic self-cleaning ovens actually have a four-layer glass door concept. Thanks to the innovative door concept in the Advanced and Excellence Line, the door is ventilated with air from the room, thereby keeping the temperature of the outer door lower than it is for the standard models. What’s more, active appliance door ventilation also enables lower outer door temperatures for pyrolytic self-cleaning appliances.

Yes. Powder detergent, tabs, Javelle water or comparable bleaches may not be filled in the containers.

The energy label provides information about this. Three factors are measured in washing machines – energy consumption, washing performance and spin efficiency. All V-ZUG washing machines have achieved an A+++ rating in energy efficiency.

The CombairSteamer fits best in an existing niche (762 mm) for a standard oven or cooker. These appliances combine a complete oven and steaming functions. CombairSteamers offer all the steaming programmes of a steam cooker and the classic functions of an oven – such as hot air, top/bottom heat and grill. If expanding the niche is possible, we recommend the classic combination of a 45 oven and a 45 CombiSteamer, allowing you to benefit from the flexibility of having two cooking spaces.

Yes, there is. The wool programme has been specially designed to treat woollen fabrics extremely gently during the wash cycle and with a much lower spin speed. This produces fantastic results while putting the wool under as little strain as possible.

The cooking space is heated by heating elements at the top and bottom. Any moisture released from the food is kept inside the oven cavity. The food retains its moisture. This feature is suitable for gratins, casseroles, roasted meat, bread and yeast pastries.

A heating element behind the hot air diffuser plate heats up the air inside the cooking chamber, which is circulated evenly. The feature is suitable for cakes, biscuits, bread and roasted meat on two levels. Set the temperature approx. 20 °C lower than for top/bottom heat.

No, cooking food in a microwave is completely safe. A study conducted by the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) concluded that there is no reason whatsoever to advise against the use of this cooking method.

We recommend conveying the extracted air outside wherever possible, as this carries smells away from the kitchen. The most effective solution is to use an exhaust system (duct) with a diameter of 150 mm.

You should always ensure there is a supply of replacement air when the range hood is running. In the case of a recirculation air range hood, this enables air that is still moist after passing through the filters to be replaced. In extracted air solutions, an open window helps to optimise the air flow and prevents negative pressure building up in the kitchen.
