V‑ZUG know-how: FAQ

Yes, you need a V-ZUG-Home login, or you can use your social login (Google or Apple) to use the app.

The app runs on Android devices from version 10.0 and iOS devices (Apple) from version 13.0.

Access the user settings of the household appliance and select the V-ZUG-Home function. Depending on the appliance, the V-ZUG-Home modus can be found in the settings or consult the V-ZUG-Home manual for appliance specific variations.

You will find the V-ZUG-Home configuration in the user settings of each V-ZUG appliance. From there, you can set the V-ZUG-Home mode, read information and restore the factory settings for V-ZUG-Home.

The following functions can be controlled remotely via the V-ZUG app:

• Stop the current program

• Send recipes and programs to your oven or steamer

• Adjust certain user settings on your household appliance

• Download the app from the Apple App Store (Link) for iOS or Google Play Store (Link) for Android devices and install it on your smartphone or tablet

• Follow the instruction of the onboarding in the app

• Create or login with your V-ZUG-Home account or use your social logins

Yes, an internet connection is required for full utilisation of V-ZUG-Home and the V-ZUG app.

To display your V-ZUG appliance, activate V-ZUG-Home in the user settings of your household appliance. Next, download the V-ZUG app on your smartphone or tablet, register or login with your V-ZUG-Home account or social login and connect your appliance in the app.

Please ensure the following conditions are met:

• Ensure the router is switched on and that the smartphone/tablet can access the home network. Check if the WLAN symbol is visible on the smartphone/tablet.

• Is V-ZUG-Home activated on the household appliance?

• Has the V-ZUG app been downloaded?

• Can the app detect the household appliance?

• Is the smartphone/tablet connected to the WLAN (home network)?

• Is Bluetooth activated on the smartphone/tablet?

• Is 'Location' enabled?

• Has the PIN been entered correctly (6 digits)?

• Is the correct WLAN displayed? If not, the device may have poor WiFi reception.

• Has the WLAN password been entered correctly?

It is currently not possible to start the appliance remotely for security reasons. You must always confirm your selected programmes and recipes on the appliances in order to start them. We are developing ways in which to enable this functionality in the future.

V-ZUG-Home mode is active, and the appliance is connected to the WLAN.

• Check whether there is an active Internet connection and whether the appliance is accessible in the home network.

• Remove the appliance from your V-ZUG-Home account and try to reconnect it. If this fails, there is no connection to the server. Try again later.

• Problems may occur in certain networks, for example if a firewall prevents the connection or if the network is weak.

Please switch Bluetooth on and off again.

If this does not help, unpair all paired V-ZUG Bluetooth devices in the Bluetooth menu on the mobile phone and try again.

Please restart the appliance and try again.

For security reasons, the Bluetooth connection is required for initial pairing and for functions that can only be carried out in the vicinity of the appliance. Therefore it is only active as long as you are in the vicinity of the appliance.

The appliance’s WLAN connection is always active. If remote access is not set up, you must be in the same WLAN network as your mobile phone or tablet. If remote access is set up, you only need an active connection to the Internet with your mobile phone or tablet.

There can be various reasons for this. The flashing frequency and type provide information about this:

• Slow flashing when the screen is switched on (1s on, 1s off): V-ZUG Home mode is active, but there is no connection to the WLAN. If the appliance has already been claimed and does not reconnect, follow the instructions for "I cannot connect to my appliance."

• Irregular, short flashes: Data is being transferred to the appliance. This is normal and only indicates activity.

• Rapid flashing when the screen is switched on (1/4s on, 1/4s off): Ready for Bluetooth connection, is only active during claiming.

No. If the appliance door reaches its stopping point or encounters resistance, movement is stopped. The appliance door is uncoupled from the drive at a certain angle and can be moved freely. If an appliance door with AutoDoor is stopped manually, you must press the button again or close the appliance door manually to reset it.

The appliance automatically detects when descaling is necessary. If the refresh or hygiene programmes are used every 2 days, the following descaling intervals will be necessary: Descaling interval depending on water hardness: ▪ Hard: approx. every 3 months ▪ Medium: approx. every 4 months ▪ Soft: approx. every 7 months

An extra-high model offers space for plates with a diameter of 33cm. This means that an extra-high dishwasher makes sense if you want to use it for large plates, tall wine glasses or baking trays.

The appliance has one fluff filter and two filter mats. Since the gentle stream of air and extremely gentle treatment only remove a small amount of fluff from the fabric, the fluff filter only needs to be emptied occasionally. The appliance automatically detects when the fluff filter is heavily clogged. A notification appears in the display when the fluff filter needs cleaning.

The programme start can be individually defined via the delayed start. Furthermore, the controls can be automated via the moisture control programme.

The cooking chamber is heated by steam and hot air. The food is reheated gently without drying it out. This feature is suitable for reheating cooked food or for cooking convenience products and ready meals. Regeneration can be carried out simultaneously on several levels with no flavour transfer.

There are a number of reasons for unsatisfactory cleaning results. The most common are listed below: - Too many dishes are packed too closely together in the dishwasher, preventing the water jets from the spray nozzles from reaching every part of the dishes and resulting in spray shadows. Spray shadows are surfaces on dishes that have been missed by the water jet and are therefore not cleaned. - The dishwasher's spray arms are blocked, meaning that the water spray pressure is too low for proper cleaning. In this case, you can simply remove the spray arms (see the operating instructions) and clean the nozzles under the tap. - Select the RinsePlus user setting on the dishwasher. RinsePlus increases the amount of water and extends the programme duration.

Specifically designed with night-time usage in mind, the Silent programme emits no noise at all. During the night, the programme can last longer, but needs to be as quiet as possible – which is exactly what the Silent programme offers.

Yes, wet clothes can easily be dried again in next to no time using the additional drying programme.

A heating element behind the hot air diffuser plate heats up the air inside the cooking chamber, which is circulated evenly. Any moisture escaping from the food is kept to a minimum within the cooking chamber. The food retains its moisture. The feature is suitable for gratins, casseroles, bread and yeast pastries on two levels.

Very careful drying as drying is without heat and friction, walls kept dry and therefore no formation of mould, quick drying, no hanging in stuffy cellar rooms for days on end, possible to dry anything that can be stored in the room (e.g. tents, carpets, sleeping bags, covers).

There are two options. In the event of minor soiling, the unique, automatic cleaning programme can be started via the OptiDos settings. It rinses both OptiDos dispensers with water. The second option can be applied when switching from softener to detergent or in the event of strong soiling (e.g. deposited detergent). In doing so, the OptiDos drawer can be easily removed manually without using tools and cleaned by rinsing under the tap. Do not clean the drawer in the dishwasher.

All-in-1 tabs consist of pressed amounts of powder/rinse agent and salt. Because the substances are pressed, they cannot dissolve quickly enough to achieve their full cleaning effect when used in fast programmes. The amounts of rinse aid and salt are also not enough to achieve the best possible cleaning result. This is why it is essential to add additional salt and rinse aid to the dishwasher! V-ZUG's dishwashers are equipped with the All in 1 function, which can be used with tabs of any kind. You can activate this function for any V-ZUG dishwasher via the user settings. With this function, the dishwasher automatically extends the programme duration by a maximum of 10 minutes for very short programmes, and extends the final drying time by a maximum of 15 minutes. This enables the tabs to dissolve and achieve their full cleaning effect. The All in 1 function also automatically adjusts the use of salt and rinse aid, reducing it by 50 %, and guarantees excellent cleaning and drying results every time!

Room air laundry drying takes more time, as the laundry is streamed less efficiently with air and the temperatures during this process are also lower than when drying in the drum. Other factors that slow down the drying process: A lot of laundry in a small room, very damp laundry (of small spinning speed), open doors or windows, humidity that additionally enters the room, clogged front filter mat, items that prevent the release of air, soiled or faulty humidity sensor.

The nominal load is 1–7 kg for the drying process in the machine. If room air laundry drying is applied, a maximum room size of 25 m² is recommended. The room air laundry dryer has a drying capacity of 1.34 kg/h, which corresponds to about 5 hours for a full laundry load of 7 kg.

Do not use metal accessories such as cooking trays, baking trays or cutlery. These could create sparks. Check before use whether the accessories are microwaveable. Use the perforated plastic cooking tray for PowerSteam.

Yes, you can –  if you have a solar installation at home, you can use the hot water it generates for the washing machine.  This is an optional feature on AdoraWash Vx000 washing machines.

All our latest washing machines (Adora) and tumble dryers (Adora) are available with the door hinges on the right-hand or left-hand side. This means you can choose the most suitable version for your circumstances.

This is primarily an aesthetic question, but also depends on the kind of worktop you have. Flush hobs are mainly installed with stone worktops. However, make sure that the hob can be accessed from underneath the worktop.

When planning and installing the FullFlex hob, ensure that the front cabinetry includes a ventilation slit of at least 2 mm to allow proper hot-air exhaust. Detailed requirements can be found in the planning aid.

The trend is currently for liquid detergents and is moving away from powder. Tabs are hardly a thing yet when it comes to laundry. Percentages: 68% liquid, 26% powder and 6% caps/tabs (source: Mibelle Group, October 2018)

The IDI is a convenient way of dispensing ice cubes, ice chips and ice water. The sensor-controlled ice cube maker automatically provides the correct amount. The IDI is integrated into the fridge door instead of the freezer, which means you gain 20% of freezer space.

This adapts the wash programme to the degree of soiling. This additional function is typical for V-ZUG appliances and helps you save water, time and energy.

Microwaves generate electromagnetic oscillations that are passed on to the food molecules. The rapid movement of these food molecules creates frictional heat, which means the food is cooked from within.

This enables you to select your favourite cooking programme by pushing a single button. Save the settings for your favourite programme, such as heating a mug of milk in the morning, and all you have to do is put the milk in the microwave and push the button.
