Use a magnet to test whether your pans can be used with an induction hob. If the magnet sticks to the base of your pan, you're ready to go, otherwise, the pan will not work with an induction hob.
Are there hob models with an automatic safety shut-off?

How easy is it to keep food warm on a hob?

Both dispensers with detergent, both dispensers with softener, one dispenser of detergent and one dispenser of softener, only one dispenser used with detergent or softener. The dispensers are also easily emptied if necessary and filled with another agent.
How many washes can be done with the content of an OptiDos tank before it needs to be refilled?
Both OptiDos dispensers can each be filled with 1.2 l of liquid detergent or softener. OptiDos calculates the optimum dosing volume according to the selected programme and the laundry volume in the drum. No excessive or insufficient dosage ever again!Examples: Slightly soiled laundry, at medium water hardness, manufacturer’s dosing recommendation is 60 ml. This means that you can wash up to 20 times without refilling. Normally soiled laundry, at soft water hardness, manufacturer’s dosing recommendation is 95 ml. Here, up to 12 washes can be done without refilling (the number of washes depends on the dosing recommendation of the detergent, the laundry volume in the drum, water hardness, degree of soiling).
I have some items of clothing that I’m unsure about putting in the washing machine. Does the machine have programmes that can handle them correctly?
Yes. Hand wash, WetClean and wool programmes are available, and it’s also possible to activate additional functions such as Easy care.
I suffer from allergies. Can a washing machine help me cope with them?
The anti-mite programme eradicates mites and allergens – importantly, that includes house dust mite excretions, which are linked to respiratory problems. These unwelcome house guests are incredibly resilient, but they are completely wiped out by the anti-mite programme found in AdoraWash and Unimatic product lines. The results are so good that even technical institutes are sharing them.
How do the washing machines stand out in terms of energy efficiency?
The energy label provides information about this. Three factors are measured in washing machines – energy consumption, washing performance and spin efficiency. All V-ZUG washing machines have achieved an A+++ rating in energy efficiency.
Is there a safer and more convenient way of removing the baking trays from the baking or cooking chambers?
The optional fully extending runner allows you to remove up to three baking trays safely and conveniently from the baking chamber. This is particularly practical when basting a piece of meat or for removing biscuits or a flan from the baking tray.
Is there not a risk of burning yourself on the door front?
All appliances are guaranteed to have low external door temperatures. In the case of normal ovens and steamers, a triple-layer glass door ensures safe operation while cooking. Pyrolytic self-cleaning ovens actually have a four-layer glass door concept. Thanks to the innovative door concept in the Advanced and Excellence Line, the door is ventilated with air from the room, thereby keeping the temperature of the outer door lower than it is for the standard models. What’s more, active appliance door ventilation also enables lower outer door temperatures for pyrolytic self-cleaning appliances.
I have sensitive skin that reacts to any traces of detergent left on my washing. How can my washing machine help with this?
Around 30% of the Swiss population have sensitive skin, which means that they need their laundry to be washed even more thoroughly than usual. The skin protection programme in AdoraWash appliances is there to help with this by using a specially optimised rinsing procedure and ensuring that water penetrates the laundry extremely effectively. The V-ZUG Special Care Drum also whisks away any remaining traces of detergent. These features help to make skin irritation and itching from leftover detergent a thing of the past.
Why does the washing drum have so many holes?
The V-ZUG Special Care Drum has 14,000 holes to protect delicate fabrics and prevent wear and tear from friction during the washing process.
Which models are designed for use in a family home or flat?
The AdoraWash and AdorinaWash product ranges are ideal for family homes or flats, while the Unimatic range is designed for communal laundry rooms and small businesses.
What is the automatic run-on function?
Hoods with the automatic run-on function extract the remaining cooking vapours from the room for a specific time period (between 5 and 20 minutes) even after you have finished cooking and switched off the range hood. After that point, the range hood is switched off automatically. If the appliance is being used in recirculation mode, the activated charcoal filter can also carry out final drying of the furniture base – just like in range hoods that remove vapours by extracting them downwards (downdraft systems). This useful function is integrated into various range hoods and downdraft systems, and is activated by tapping the clock button shown at the end of the cooking process.How can I make sure my laundry is treated gently?
The innovative DialogSystem takes care of this. The washing machine communicates information on the amount and type of laundry, spinning speed, the selected wash programme etc. to the tumble dryer. Based on these data, the dryer selects the ideal drying programme and determines its precise duration, ensuring that your laundry is not damaged by the wrong choice of drying programme.
How can I make use of low electricity rates?
You can use the delayed start function to set your electricity provider’s low rate times up to 24 hours in advance and use the machine during these times. The current range of AdoraWash washing machines also features the intelligent OptiTime delayed start function. If you use OptiTime at night, for example, and combine it with low electricity rates, you can make energy savings of up to 63% per wash cycle.
How does a modern washing machine compare to a 20-year-old model in terms of water consumption?
A model from 1990 required 80 litres of water and used 1.25 kW of electricity. A current model can manage with just 39 litres of water and 0.85 kW of electricity. The amount of water required depends on the level of soiling and the water hardness. AdoraWash washing machines are equipped with EcoManagement. This function shows how much water and energy were used during the last wash cycle. It also displays average values for the last 20 wash cycles.
What exactly is the partial load economy system?
To avoid wasting water and electricity, the ingenious V-ZUG sensor system ensures that consumption precisely corresponds to the actual amount and type of laundry. This means that, with the economical V-ZUG washing machines, you can easily wash a smaller amount of laundry without wasting precious resources.
Is it a good idea to install a sound absorber with a wall/island hood or built-in range hood?
Yes, we would definitely recommend installing a sound absorber to reduce the overall noise emissions. In extracted air mode, both the fan noise going outside and the outdoor noise coming inside via the extracted air duct can be reduced. In the case of recirculation mode, the sound absorber is positioned directly on the fan nozzle in the hood flue.What material is the ventilation duct of the DSMS hob hood made from?
The material is a flame-retardant plastic blend, which is self-extinguishing with a V0 classification as per the UL94 standard.What exactly is the vibration absorbing system (VAS)?
With the new Adora model, VAS compensates an unbalanced load during the spinning phase. This means the machine runs particularly smoothly and quietly. What exactly is V-ZUG WetClean?
WetClean heralds the dawn of a new era in the laundry room. Now you can machine-wash even your particularly delicate favourite clothes. Be it your little black dress, your ball gown or a delicate, frilly blouse, as long as your treasured outfits can be washed with water, just put them in the washing machine. Provided, that is, you have an Adora SLQ. ZUG makes a point of using water intelligently as well as economically. We have developed an innovative technology that harnesses the gentle power of water to wash especially delicate garments. The new Adora SLQ features a separate internal water cycle. What do I need to consider with regard to the exhaust duct?
If possible, you should make sure that the duct diameter is at least 125 mm and ideally 150 mm. If there is no room for a round pipe, a flat channel with an equivalent cross section may also be used. The use of 90° pipe bends should be kept to a minimum. Narrowing cross sections and reducing pipes with a smooth inner surface should also be avoided. How does the «Tip and go» function work?
You select a main programme by pressing a singlebutton. This means all the required settings are automatically chosen. If desired, you can select additional programmes or functions by pressing the corresponding buttons. If no button is pressed within 20 seconds, the programme selected will start automatically.
How can I save energy and water while doing laundry?
V-ZUG helps you to do this automatically thanks to the partial load water and energy economy function and EcoManagement. The latter shows you in advance whether your choice of programme is going to use large or small amounts of energy and water. The OptiTime delayed start option also helps you to save lots of energy if you have a bit of spare time.
Washing laundry at 20°C is becoming increasingly popular. Do V-ZUG washing machines offer this functionality?
To meet our customer's requirements, our new laundry room appliances now feature a 20°C wash programme that can be selected by pressing a dedicated button.
How long do the LEDs remain lighting if the door is left open?
The lamps go out automatically after 2 minutes, which means that the washing machine can be left open after washing. The Start/Pause/Light button can be used to switch off the light manually. The automatic lighting can also be deactivated in the user settings.
What is the life cycle of the drum lighting LED?
The lifecycle corresponds to the appliance lifecycle. Therefore 4,000 batches / 15 years.
Can the drum lighting LEDs be replaced?
Yes, the drum lighting can be replaced.
Does the AdoraDry V2000 have the same programmes as the Adora TL?
Not quite. The Down thick, Down thin, Bed linen, Outdoor programmes used very rarely by users have not been adopted. Making a clearer distinction between the V2000 and the V4000.
Why does the V6000 model not exist with OptiDos?
Due to the heat pump, it is not possible to implement it in the AdoraWash V6000 due to a lack of space.
How do I explain the use of DualDry in MINERGIE buildings?
If the laundry room or drying room are also to be connected to the comfort ventilation system, the two systems (comfort ventilation and DualDry) will complement each other when drying wet laundry. This means that increased air humidity in the room is reduced (dehumidified) both by the comfort ventilation system and by our dryer. There may be a problem if the target room humidity of the comfort ventilation system is set higher than that of the dryer. This would mean that the comfort ventilation system becomes permanently moist and our dryer would be permanently dehumidified (especially with our moisture control programme). This seems highly unlikely to me, since a laundry room generally calls for a dry climate and the recommended target room humidities of the comfort ventilation system are somewhat lower than ours – see below).
Can water softener be dosed in the OptiDos washing machine? How would this work?
It cannot be dosed.
How do I prevent the formation of mould?
Mould is caused by excess humidity in the room. Whenever laundry is hung up, the room air laundry drying function should be started to remove the humidity from the room. Alternatively, the moisture control programme can also be selected.
How must the DualDry be positioned?
The positioning is shown in the installation instructions.
Can I adjust the degree of dryness With a V-ZUG tumble dryer?
V-ZUG dryers are designed for minimum energy consumption. A humidity sensor continuously measures your laundry's degree of dryness. If in spite of this, your laundry turns out too dry or not dry enough, you can adjust the degree of dryness according to your needs.
What is the capacity of a dishwasher?
Dishwasher capacity is given in the form of place settings, which constitute a standardised value. A place setting comprises a certain number of plates, glasses, cups, cutlery, bowls and other items. Our dishwashers are able to accommodate between 12 and 14 place settings depending on the model.
What is the difference between integrated and fully integrated dishwashers?
With integrated dishwashers, the operating panel is visible. This is particularly useful for ChromeClass/AluClass models, as they also function as design elements. In contrast, design-integrated models feature a mirrored operating panel that fits perfectly with the FutureLine design. A wood panel the colour of your kitchen is fixed below the operating panel. With fully integrated dishwashers, the operating panel is concealed. Only when you open the appliance, you'll find it integrated in the door's upper edge.
What are the different installation options for dishwashers?
Dishwashers with a customisable design have an operating panel in the same colour as the design elements. With integrated dishwashers, the operating panel is visible and the lower part of the appliance adopts the colour of your kitchen. Fully integrated dishwashers feature an entire front in your kitchen's colour.
Where and how high may the syphon be?
The maximum feed height of the discharge height is 1.2 m.
Where does the extracted water go?
The DualDry has an integrated discharge pump. The water is directed into a syphon with a hose.
What is the moisture control programme?
The moisture control programme automatically starts the room air laundry drying over 7 days if the appliance detects an increase in humidity. The target humidity in the room can be set between 50% and 60%.
What programmes does the DualDry offer?
In room air laundry drying mode: Extra dry, Standard dry, Iron dry, Damp, Timed drying (up to 3 hours), Moisture control programme.
Can the DualDry also be used to keep the room dry?
Yes, the moisture control programme runs for 7 days and automatically starts drying the room air if the appliance detects an increase in humidity. However, the DualDry is not designed for permanent operation or the dehumidification of very humid rooms.
Does the room need to be closed?
An optimal drying process during room air laundry drying is guaranteed in rooms where the windows and doors are closed. This reduces the penetration of humid air from the outside.
Does the DualDry also work in unheated rooms?
An optimal drying result is reached at a room temperature of 10-30°C. In rooms with very low temperatures, the function may be restricted. The DualDry may not be used under 8°C.
Why is the DualDry laundry hanger arranged in the shape of a star?
A star-shaped installation facilitates an optimal air flow. This results in a faster drying process.
Does the choice of detergent have an influence on the drying time?
No, the drying time is not changed by the use of different detergents.
How much heat does the DualDry release when drying laundry in a room?
DualDry releases a heat capacity of some 350-400 W into the room during operation.
Does the softener have an influence on the drying time?
The use of softeners can result in a slightly longer drying process, but there are no studies that confirm this assumption.
What different kinds of hobs are available?
There are radiant hobs, which are controlled via a stove or switch box (formerly Quicklight). By contrast, autarkic radiant hobs (formerly Toptronic) and induction hobs feature controls situated directly on the glass surface. The space saved in this way can be used by fitting an additional 1/6th drawer. Cooking by forced induction is the nec plus ultra for the chef's home kitchen. The CombiCookTop range (formerly Fusion) includes induction hobs that have an extractor embedded in the hob.Are there fridges with an integrated icemaker?

In spite of a great number of studies, scientists so far have found no proof that electromagnetic fields pose any environmental or health risks. Induction hobs are impressively fast. They react quickly and are finely adjustable, which means liquids will rarely boil over, if ever. Ovens with pyrolytic features practically clean themselves: Dirt is converted into ash by the special pyrolytic self-cleaning programme, which heats the cooking chamber to extremely high temperatures. The ash can then be wiped away with a damp cloth. Pyrolytic self-cleaning is available as an option in all appliances in convenience level V4000 or above.
Why does the wine cooler feature two temperature zones?
The two cooling zones are vertically adjustable and can be set to two different precise temperatures suitable for white and red wine, respectively. Available temperatures range from 5 to 18°C.
Why do I need the Indoor Ice System (IDI)?
The IDI is a convenient way of dispensing ice cubes, ice chips and ice water. The sensor-controlled ice cube maker automatically provides the correct amount. The IDI is integrated into the fridge door instead of the freezer, which means you gain 20% of freezer space.
What is the purpose of the NoFrost technology built into FoodCenter models?

What is the difference between an oven and a cooker?
A cooker is always installed underneath the worktop and has switches that allow the hob to be controlled. The oven is usually installed at eye level in a tall unit. This makes operation more convenient and ergonomic.
What is EasyCook and how do the filter functions work?
The EasyCook function provides you with helpful default settings for over 100 selected foods – so you can cook quickly and with confidence even without a recipe. Simply select the desired food under EasyCook, and the appliance will immediately suggest one or more cooking methods. The selection of foods and recipes can be customised. The «Nutritional style» filter setting can be used to remove foods that are not required at the touch of a button. For example, meat can be deselected if the user is a vegetarian. The «National cuisines» filter, on the other hand, expands the range of dishes to include country-specific recipes and can be quickly adapted to your personal culinary style.
How does the steam anti-crease programme work?
The steam anti-crease additional programme can be selected with a large number of washing programmes. The integrated heating function gently treats shirts, blouses, skirts and other items with steam generated at the end of the wash cycle. Is there a special programme for woollens?
Yes, there is. The wool programme has been specially designed to treat woollen fabrics extremely gently during the wash cycle and with a much lower spin speed. This produces fantastic results while putting the wool under as little strain as possible.
How long will the LED lights last in my range hood?
Since 2019, all our range hoods have been equipped exclusively with energy-saving LED lights. LEDs have energy-efficient properties plus a long service life.What should I bear in mind when planning and installing an exhaust duct?
The exhaust duct should be as short as possible and have as few bends and curves as possible. Ideally, it should have a diameter of 150 mm. Each additional metre added to the exhaust duct and each additional bend will create resistance, reducing the power of the range hood. A more powerful range hood cannot compensate for a poorly designed exhaust duct. This will only result in increased losses and noise levels. Reducing the diameter of the exhaust duct should be avoided where possible – due to the increased flow rate, this will also lead to increased noise levels.How important is it for the range hood to cover the entire hob surface?
The more the range hood covers the hob, the better the extraction performance. This is why flat pull-out deflector plates perform very well. For wall and island hoods, you should make sure that the majority of the hob is well covered.What is the difference between an extracted air and a recirculation air range hood?
Extracted air range hoods require access to the outdoors. They convey cooking vapours directly outside into the open air via the metal grease filter. In a recirculation air range hood, the air is drawn in, cleaned using an activated charcoal filter and then conveyed back into the kitchen. This option is particularly suitable if there is no way to convey the cooking vapours from the range hood in your kitchen to the outside. Virtually all V-ZUG range hoods can be operated with either extracted air or recirculation air.What types of range hoods are there?
