V‑ZUG know-how: FAQ

Yes, you need a V-ZUG-Home login, or you can use your social login (Google or Apple) to use the app.

The app runs on Android devices from version 10.0 and iOS devices (Apple) from version 13.0.

Access the user settings of the household appliance and select the V-ZUG-Home function. Depending on the appliance, the V-ZUG-Home modus can be found in the settings or consult the V-ZUG-Home manual for appliance specific variations.

You will find the V-ZUG-Home configuration in the user settings of each V-ZUG appliance. From there, you can set the V-ZUG-Home mode, read information and restore the factory settings for V-ZUG-Home.

The following functions can be controlled remotely via the V-ZUG app:

• Stop the current program

• Send recipes and programs to your oven or steamer

• Adjust certain user settings on your household appliance

• Download the app from the Apple App Store (Link) for iOS or Google Play Store (Link) for Android devices and install it on your smartphone or tablet

• Follow the instruction of the onboarding in the app

• Create or login with your V-ZUG-Home account or use your social logins

Yes, an internet connection is required for full utilisation of V-ZUG-Home and the V-ZUG app.

To display your V-ZUG appliance, activate V-ZUG-Home in the user settings of your household appliance. Next, download the V-ZUG app on your smartphone or tablet, register or login with your V-ZUG-Home account or social login and connect your appliance in the app.

Please ensure the following conditions are met:

• Ensure the router is switched on and that the smartphone/tablet can access the home network. Check if the WLAN symbol is visible on the smartphone/tablet.

• Is V-ZUG-Home activated on the household appliance?

• Has the V-ZUG app been downloaded?

• Can the app detect the household appliance?

• Is the smartphone/tablet connected to the WLAN (home network)?

• Is Bluetooth activated on the smartphone/tablet?

• Is 'Location' enabled?

• Has the PIN been entered correctly (6 digits)?

• Is the correct WLAN displayed? If not, the device may have poor WiFi reception.

• Has the WLAN password been entered correctly?

V-Upgrades allow you to transfer additional functions so that you can expand and personalise the functionality of your appliance. Find out more about V-Upgrade.

It is currently not possible to start the appliance remotely for security reasons. You must always confirm your selected programmes and recipes on the appliances in order to start them. We are developing ways in which to enable this functionality in the future.

V-ZUG-Home mode is active, and the appliance is connected to the WLAN.

• Check whether there is an active Internet connection and whether the appliance is accessible in the home network.

• Remove the appliance from your V-ZUG-Home account and try to reconnect it. If this fails, there is no connection to the server. Try again later.

• Problems may occur in certain networks, for example if a firewall prevents the connection or if the network is weak.

Please switch Bluetooth on and off again.

If this does not help, unpair all paired V-ZUG Bluetooth devices in the Bluetooth menu on the mobile phone and try again.

Please restart the appliance and try again.

For security reasons, the Bluetooth connection is required for initial pairing and for functions that can only be carried out in the vicinity of the appliance. Therefore it is only active as long as you are in the vicinity of the appliance.

The appliance’s WLAN connection is always active. If remote access is not set up, you must be in the same WLAN network as your mobile phone or tablet. If remote access is set up, you only need an active connection to the Internet with your mobile phone or tablet.

There can be various reasons for this. The flashing frequency and type provide information about this:

• Slow flashing when the screen is switched on (1s on, 1s off): V-ZUG Home mode is active, but there is no connection to the WLAN. If the appliance has already been claimed and does not reconnect, follow the instructions for "I cannot connect to my appliance."

• Irregular, short flashes: Data is being transferred to the appliance. This is normal and only indicates activity.

• Rapid flashing when the screen is switched on (1/4s on, 1/4s off): Ready for Bluetooth connection, is only active during claiming.

No. If the appliance door reaches its stopping point or encounters resistance, movement is stopped. The appliance door is uncoupled from the drive at a certain angle and can be moved freely. If an appliance door with AutoDoor is stopped manually, you must press the button again or close the appliance door manually to reset it.

Bread, rolls and plaited loaves can be achieved at the push of a button using the professional baking application, delivering bakery-level quality. The application provides support right from the process of the dough rising and creates the perfect environment for making the dough ready to bake in the shortest possible time. The combination of hot air and steam keeps the food from drying out while baking and achieves a golden-brown surface. It allows puff pastry dishes to achieve a highly aerated finish.

All ovens and steamers have an efficiency rating of A or higher. The higher the comfort level, the better the energy label.

The cooking chamber is heated simultaneously by steam and hot air. The food is heated up or cooked by steaming. This feature is suitable for cooking vegetables, rice, cereal products, pulses and egg dishes, for poaching meat, fish and poultry, for making yoghurt and for sterilising. To keep cleaning to a minimum, it is best to slide the stainless steel tray under the perforated cooking tray and collect the small amount of residual water in it.

A heating element behind the hot air diffuser plate heats up the air inside the cooking chamber, which is circulated evenly. The feature is suitable for cakes, biscuits, bread and roasted meat on two levels. Set the temperature approx. 20 °C lower than for top/bottom heat.

The CombairSteamer fits best in an existing niche (762 mm) for a standard oven or cooker. These appliances combine a complete oven and steaming functions. CombairSteamers offer all the steaming programmes of a steam cooker and the classic functions of an oven – such as hot air, top/bottom heat and grill. If expanding the niche is possible, we recommend the classic combination of a 45 oven and a 45 CombiSteamer, allowing you to benefit from the flexibility of having two cooking chambers.

The water tank holds one litre of water, which is sufficient for different steaming periods and is dependent on the temperature and the nature of the food. With Vacuisine, it is possible to reach over 48 hours of cooking time without having to refill the water tank. The water tanks in the Excellence Line can be cleaned in a dishwasher.

The use of steam can improve heat transfer to the food. Incidentally, steam over 100 °C is not visible. The programme is particularly suitable for gratins, casseroles, meat, frozen products, chestnuts, puff and yeast pastry, bread and convenience products on 1 or 2 levels.

The automatic programme is capable of detecting what your dirty dishes need, thereby reducing the consumption of water, electricity and dishwater salt by up to 30%. The programme also works out how long the washing cycle needs to last. This could be anywhere between 50 and 85 minutes.

The new Excellence Line steamers and combi-steam cookers can be cleaned with little effort thanks to the stainless-steel cooking chamber. Guided programmes remove the dirt automatically. For tough soiling, we have developed a special cleaning solution – the SteamerCleaner.

If you are not going to use the appliance for an extended period of time, empty the water tank and open the appliance door.

According to the measurement in line with the standard, the drying capacity at a maximum room size of 9 m² is 1.34 kg/h and it takes 5h 40min.

DualDry is a combination of tumble dryer and room air laundry dryer.

If the laundry is dried in a room, the humidity must be transported out of the room through ventilation in order to prevent humidity damage, such as the formation of mould on walls. By ventilating, a lot of heating energy is lost in winter, which increases heating costs. DualDry removes the humidity from the air. This means that ventilation is required less frequently. Furthermore, the laundry can also be dried in rooms without windows, meaning an extra room is not required.

Extremely fast programmes are offered at each convenience level. These programmes last between 11 and 30 minutes depending on the convenience level.

The RefreshButler actually eliminates odorous substances, thereby removing odours with a lasting effect. Other appliances simply mask odorous substances with perfume or odour-masking scents during the refresh programme.

Theoretically yes. Please discuss this option with your specialist dealer.

All-in-1 tabs consist of pressed amounts of powder/rinse agent and salt. Because the substances are pressed, they cannot dissolve quickly enough to achieve their full cleaning effect when used in fast programmes. The amounts of rinse aid and salt are also not enough to achieve the best possible cleaning result. This is why it is essential to add additional salt and rinse aid to the dishwasher! V-ZUG's dishwashers are equipped with the All in 1 function, which can be used with tabs of any kind. You can activate this function for any V-ZUG dishwasher via the user settings. With this function, the dishwasher automatically extends the programme duration by a maximum of 10 minutes for very short programmes, and extends the final drying time by a maximum of 15 minutes. This enables the tabs to dissolve and achieve their full cleaning effect. The All in 1 function also automatically adjusts the use of salt and rinse aid, reducing it by 50 %, and guarantees excellent cleaning and drying results every time!

The delayed start function makes it easy to take advantage of low night electricity rates. What's more, the appliance remembers the time it was set to on the previous occasion, and with a mere 42dB(A), our dishwashers know how to keep their noise down. You won't hear a thing.

The «Upper rack» only function makes a ZUG dishwasher even more flexible and will save 2.6 litres of water, depending on the wash programme.

This is what you've been waiting for. The «ultra care» programme dries your delicate items at 55°C in just 90 minutes. A piece of advice: treat your laundry with even more care by giving it ample space in the washing drum.

The «WetClean» programme is ideal for that purpose. It takes just five minutes to breathe new life into your woollens. Your woolly jumpers and similar garments will feel much softer and fluffier on your skin - no more scratchiness or skin irritation.

Start it without putting any laundry in the washing machine. The programme heats a small amount of water to approximately 80°C and then treats the inside of the appliance with steam to significantly reduce the number of germs.

Primarily for white laundry. Because only washing powder contains bleach and can therefore better remove stains from fruit, coffee, tea, etc.

No. Both detergent dispensers are supplied with the washing machine and can be immediately filled with the desired liquid agents or softeners.

You select a main programme with the press of a single button. This means all the required settings are automatically chosen. If desired, select additional functions by pressing the corresponding buttons. If no button is pressed within 20 seconds, the programme selected will start automatically.

The AdoraWash Vx000 washing machines are equipped with the partial load water and energy economy function as standard. It is completely automatic and checks how much washing is in the drum before the start of every wash cycle, achieving water savings of as much as 60% compared with using the maximum amount of water in the drum.

All our latest washing machines (Adora) and tumble dryers (Adora) are available with the door hinges on the right-hand or left-hand side. This means you can choose the most suitable version for your circumstances.

This restriction prevents the appliance from being used as a construction dryer. This is not what it is designed for. The running time has an influence on the components and can also be considered a safety issue. A period of 7 days has been defined as once a week is generally considered sufficient for washing and drying.
