Can I put all dishes in the dishwasher?
We recommend the following: Not all dishes are suitable for cleaning in a dishwasher. - Wash items made of wood or plastic that are sensitive to alkalis or heat by hand. - Earthenware tends to crack and splinter. - Glass and porcelain prints are only resistant to a limited extent and may dissolve over time. - Glass can become cloudy depending on the type and the detergent used. Check with your glass supplier whether the glass is dishwasher-safe. - Tension may develop in polished and thick-walled crystal glasses and bowls, which may lead to breakages. - Do not wash dishes with stickers. Dissolved stickers can block the filter system. - Objects made of silver, copper and tin tend to stain brown or black. - Aluminium tends to form stains. Wash aluminium separately or by hand.
How can I safely place big bottles in the fridge?
Certain appliances feature a bottom compartment complete with bottle drawer, which offers vertical storage for many large bottles in a handy removable basket. A bottle rack for horizontal storage is also available in certain models.How can I place bulkier items in the fridge?

How do I know long the tank content will last?

Is there anything that may NOT be filled in the OptiDos dispenser?
Yes. Powder detergent, tabs, Javelle water or comparable bleaches may not be filled in the containers.
What is the energy saving potential of a modern refrigerator?

Why do I need the quick-cool/quick-freeze function?

How does the steam anti-crease programme work?
The steam anti-crease additional programme can be selected with a large number of washing programmes. The integrated heating function gently treats shirts, blouses, skirts and other items with steam generated at the end of the wash cycle. This makes ironing faster and more convenient – and sometimes even removes the need for it altogether.
Is there a special programme for woollens?
Yes, there is. The wool programme has been specially designed to treat woollen fabrics extremely gently during the wash cycle and with a much lower spin speed. This produces fantastic results while putting the wool under as little strain as possible.
What makes induction hobs so easy to clean?
Induction hobs are impressively fast. They react quickly and are finely adjustable, which means liquids will rarely boil over, if ever. As the heat is generated in the base of the pan only, the glass around the cooking zone is hardly warmed up at all. Therefore spilt food won't burn and the hob can be cleaned easily with a damp cloth.How do you clean the hob?
Slight soiling can be removed with a smooth cloth and a little detergent. To tackle heavy dirt, apply glass ceramic cleaning agent with a sponge, leave it on for a few minutes and then remove it with a cloth. Encrusted dirt can be removed with a hob scraper.How can I make use of low electricity rates?
You can use the delayed start function to set your electricity provider’s low rate times up to 24 hours in advance and use the machine during these times. The current range of AdoraWash washing machines also features the intelligent OptiTime delayed start function. If you use OptiTime at night, for example, and combine it with low electricity rates, you can make energy savings of up to 63% per wash cycle.
How long will the LED lights last in my range hood?
Since 2019, all our range hoods have been equipped exclusively with energy-saving LED lights. LEDs have energy-efficient properties plus a long service life.
What should I bear in mind when planning and installing an exhaust duct?
The exhaust duct should be as short as possible and have as few bends and curves as possible. Ideally, it should have a diameter of 150 mm. Each additional metre added to the exhaust duct and each additional bend will create resistance, reducing the power of the range hood. A more powerful range hood cannot compensate for a poorly designed exhaust duct. This will only result in increased losses and noise levels. Reducing the diameter of the exhaust duct should be avoided where possible – due to the increased flow rate, this will also lead to increased noise levels.How important is it for the range hood to cover the entire hob surface?
The more the range hood covers the hob, the better the extraction performance. This is why flat pull-out deflector plates perform very well. For wall and island hoods, you should make sure that the majority of the hob is well covered.What is the difference between an extracted air and a recirculation air range hood?
Extracted air range hoods require access to the outdoors. They convey cooking vapours directly outside into the open air via the metal grease filter. In a recirculation air range hood, the air is drawn in, cleaned using an activated charcoal filter and then conveyed back into the kitchen. This option is particularly suitable if there is no way to convey the cooking vapours from the range hood in your kitchen to the outside. Virtually all V-ZUG range hoods can be operated with either extracted air or recirculation air.What types of range hoods are there?

What is the purpose of the textile type programme?
The Adora SLQ and Adora SL models automatically select the appropriate wash programme for different types of laundry such as jeans, baby clothes or net curtains. The baby garments programme, for example, ensures that your little one's clothes turn out perfectly hygienically clean. Microbiological tests by the Veritas laboratory have confirmed its effectiveness.
What is the purpose of the night economy programme?
The Adora night economy programme reduces energy consumption by 40% and water consumption by 20%. You can make use of lower night electricity rates and protect the environment. What's more, the Adora is very quiet.
What is the purpose of the turbidity sensor?
By continuously monitoring water turbidity, the ZUG Adora can detect when your laundry has been sufficiently rinsed. This has two advantages: your clothes are perfectly rinsed and water consumption is reduced by 30%.
What is the purpose of the degree of soiling button?
This adapts the wash programme to the degree of soiling. This additional function is typical for V-ZUG appliances and helps you save water, time and energy.
What is the purpose of the tilting operating panel?
Your convenience is important to us. Thanks to the articulated design, you can position the operating panel according to your personal preference.
How do the hob hood and the hob with integrated range hood work?
Steam and odours rise at a maximum rate of one metre per second. The V-ZUG hob hood or hob with integrated range hood extracts the air using a cross current that is higher than the rising speed of the cooking vapour. As a result, cooking vapours and odours can be effectively extracted straight away at the hob.Does the hob ventilation/hob hood ventilation also work with taller pots?
Cooking vapours can be extracted without any problems in the case of pots up to 20 cm tall. For pots that are over 21 cm tall, we recommend placing the pot lid at an angle in order to direct the steam towards the range hood.What do I need to consider with regard to the exhaust duct?
If possible, you should make sure that the duct diameter is at least 125 mm and ideally 150 mm. If there is no room for a round pipe, a flat channel with an equivalent cross section may also be used. The use of 90° pipe bends should be kept to a minimum. Narrowing cross sections and reducing pipes with a smooth inner surface should also be avoided. We recommend using short piping lengths, wall boxes with large slats and sufficient replacement air.Can an existing cooker or oven be replaced with a steamer?
The CombairSteamer fits best in an existing niche (762 mm) for a standard oven or cooker. These appliances combine a complete oven and steaming functions. CombairSteamers offer all the steaming programmes of a steam cooker and the classic functions of an oven – such as hot air, top/bottom heat and grill. If expanding the niche is possible, we recommend the classic combination of a 45 oven and a 45 CombiSteamer, allowing you to benefit from the flexibility of having two cooking spaces.
What about the consumption values / energy efficiency of ovens and steamers?
Our cookers, ovens and steamers are all classified in the most economical energy efficiency class A or better.
Does the AdoraDry V2000 have the same programmes as the Adora TL?
Not quite. The Down thick, Down thin, Bed linen, Outdoor programmes used very rarely by users have not been adopted. Making a clearer distinction between the V2000 and the V4000.
Why does the V6000 model not exist with OptiDos?
Due to the heat pump, it is not possible to implement it in the AdoraWash V6000 due to a lack of space.
How do I explain the use of DualDry in MINERGIE buildings?
If the laundry room or drying room are also to be connected to the comfort ventilation system, the two systems (comfort ventilation and DualDry) will complement each other when drying wet laundry. This means that increased air humidity in the room is reduced (dehumidified) both by the comfort ventilation system and by our dryer. There may be a problem if the target room humidity of the comfort ventilation system is set higher than that of the dryer. This would mean that the comfort ventilation system becomes permanently moist and our dryer would be permanently dehumidified (especially with our moisture control programme). This seems highly unlikely to me, since a laundry room generally calls for a dry climate and the recommended target room humidities of the comfort ventilation system are somewhat lower than ours – see below).
Can water softener be dosed in the OptiDos washing machine? How would this work?
It cannot be dosed.
Can I adjust the colour temperature for the range hood lighting?
Yes you can – various range hoods have the FlexLED function. This allows you to easily adjust the colour temperature, from a warm-white 2700 to a cool 4000 kelvin. This feature creates the perfect atmosphere in harmony with the kitchen lighting and can be individually tailored to all kinds of lighting concepts.
What makes the extractor hoods particularly user-friendly?
We recommend conveying the extracted air outside wherever possible, as this carries smells away from the kitchen. The most effective solution is to use an exhaust system (duct) with a diameter of 150 mm.
Should I leave the windows and doors open or closed when using the range hood?
Range hoods need enough replacement air to guarantee optimum extraction performance. You can ensure this by opening a window or incorporating a replacement air unit. If there is insufficient replacement air, this can create negative pressure (a vacuum) – the range hood will become significantly louder and it will have difficulty conveying the cooking odours outside.
How high is the laundry hanger installed?
Ideally so that the dry air flow of the DualDry flows directly on the laundry. However, the laundry also dries if the positioning is less ideal. The customer is free to install the hangar as they like. In an apartment building, the washing line is usually at a height of 180 - 190 cm. The washing line should not be lower than the air release flap.
May I use a softener?
Yes. The softener can be used for both drying processes. It is irrelevant whether the laundry is dried in the drum or on a washing line. Deposits of softener on the drum surface are reduced to a minimum by the lower temperatures.
What kind of power connection do I need?
A normal 230 volt socket (T13 / 10 A secured).
How must the DualDry be positioned?
The positioning is shown in the installation instructions.
Can I adjust the degree of dryness With a V-ZUG tumble dryer?
V-ZUG dryers are designed for minimum energy consumption. A humidity sensor continuously measures your laundry's degree of dryness. If in spite of this, your laundry turns out too dry or not dry enough, you can adjust the degree of dryness according to your needs.
Should I use fabric conditioner if I want to dry my laundry in the tumble dryer?
Do not use fabric conditioner if drying the washing in a tumble dryer, unless the manufacturer states otherwise. Tumble drying automatically leaves the washing soft and fluffy to the touch. Using fabric conditioner can cause a thin, barely visible film to form on the drum and humidity sensors. This can lead to malfunctions and prevent the appliance from achieving the required degree of dryness.
Does the unit have a discharge pump?
Yes, a discharge pump is installed. The maximum feed height of the discharge height is 1.2 m.
It is possible to dry laundry in the drum and in the room at the same time?
No, only one operating mode works at a time.
Where and how high may the syphon be?
The maximum feed height of the discharge height is 1.2 m.
What is the purpose of the hot air function in a microwave oven?
You can use your microwave in combined mode to prepare a gratin, lasagne, cake or baked potatoes, or bake bread and puff pastry using only the hot air mode. The possibilities are endless. Compared to a regular oven, meals in microwaves take only two-thirds to half the time in combined mode.
What programmes does the DualDry offer?
In room air laundry drying mode: Extra dry, Standard dry, Iron dry, Damp, Timed drying (up to 3 hours), Moisture control programme.
Can the DualDry also be used to keep the room dry?
Yes, the moisture control programme runs for 7 days and automatically starts drying the room air if the appliance detects an increase in humidity. However, the DualDry is not designed for permanent operation or the dehumidification of very humid rooms.
How has the use of energy in our dishwashers developed over time?
In the standard programme, our heat pump device uses a record low of 0.38 kWh of energy. 20 years ago, this figure would have been four times as great, with dishwashers using 2 kWh of energy.
What is the capacity of a dishwasher?
Dishwasher capacity is given in the form of place settings, which constitute a standardised value. A place setting comprises a certain number of plates, glasses, cups, cutlery, bowls and other items. Our dishwashers are able to accommodate between 12 and 14 place settings depending on the model.
Why is the DualDry laundry hanger arranged in the shape of a star?
A star-shaped installation facilitates an optimal air flow. This results in a faster drying process.
Does the choice of detergent have an influence on the drying time?
No, the drying time is not changed by the use of different detergents.
Does the softener have an influence on the drying time?
The use of softeners can result in a slightly longer drying process, but there are no studies that confirm this assumption.
Can I also put wine glasses in the lower basket?
Yes, you can use the lower basket glass compartment to put wine glasses in the lower basket. The glass compartment can easily be placed in the lower basket and can hold several wine glasses, drinking glasses and cups. You can order the glass compartment as an accessory set from our online shop.
How can I keep meat, fish and sausages fresh for a longer period of time?
The FreshControl Zone provides the optimum conditions for storing meat, fish, poultry and sausages for longer at temperatures around freezing point, meaning you can enjoy fresh food without having to go out shopping every day. Often referred to as the 0-degree zone, the FreshControl Zone is perfect for this when humidity is low.Is liquid detergent still the trend or will there be a switch to tabs?
The trend is currently for liquid detergents and is moving away from powder. Tabs are hardly a thing yet when it comes to laundry. Percentages: 68% liquid, 26% powder and 6% caps/tabs (source: Mibelle Group, October 2018)
What kind of design is recommended? Should I choose a framed hob or one that is flush with the worktop?
This is primarily an aesthetic question, but also depends on the kind of worktop you have. Flush hobs are mainly installed with stone worktops. However, make sure that the hob can be accessed from underneath the worktop.
How does induction conserve energy?
Induction is the technology of the future: it is faster and more energy-efficient. One litre of water is brought to the boil in approximately two minutes. This is made possible by smart technology. Induction generates heat exactly where it is needed in the base of the pan. The glass around the heated cooking zone stays virtually cold, so no energy is wasted. An induction stove uses up to 40% less energy compared to other heating methods.
Induction hobs offer pan detection. How does this work?
Have you ever turned your stove on by accident or forgotten to turn off the heat? Now this not a problem any more. Pan detection ensures that the stove generates heat only when a pan is placed on the hob. A timer-controlled safety shut-off monitors each cooking zone and turns it off after a certain period. And if you have some aspiring junior chefs in your family, use the childproof lock to prevent accidents.Induction hobs offer a PowerPlus function. What is it for?
The PowerPlus function offered by almost all induction hobs helps you save time. If, for example, you need to heat up a large quantity of water, you can have a cooking zone work at an increased power level of up to 140%. The anti-mite programme eradicates mites and allergens – importantly, that includes house dust mite excretions, which are linked to respiratory problems. These unwelcome house guests are incredibly resilient, but they are completely wiped out by the anti-mite programme found in AdoraWash and Unimatic product lines. The results are so good that even technical institutes are sharing them.
What are the different installation options for hobs?
Hobs that are fitted flush with the worktop achieve perfect aesthetic integration and create the impression of compact simplicity. Hobs with a set-off glass frame (bevel-edged) have a very elegant appearance, while chromium steel frames and over-large frames (for replacements) convince by their simplicity of installation and their classic design, they fit in a wide variety of kitchen combinations.Do I need to use special pans with an induction appliance? Are they expensive?
For induction to work, the base of the pan must be ferromagnetic. As induction hobs are quite popular, there is a broad range of available well-priced pans.
Are my pans suitable for use with an induction appliance?
Use a magnet to test whether your pans can be used with an induction hob. If the magnet sticks to the base of your pan, you're ready to go, otherwise, the pan will not work with an induction hob.
Why does the washing drum have so many holes?
The V-ZUG Special Care Drum has 14,000 holes to protect delicate fabrics and prevent wear and tear from friction during the washing process.
Are there any refrigerators with multiple temperature zones and what advantages do they offer?
Some of our refrigerators feature three different temperature zones. In addition to the freezer compartment and the main refrigerator compartment, the Magnum 2 60i and Cooltronic 60i eco refrigerators, for example, also offer a cold storage compartment with infinitely variable humidity control (0-degree zone), in which food stays fresh up to three times longer. The Noblesse 60i eco and the DeLuxe 60i both feature a bottom compartment complete with bottle drawer (8–12°C) in which food that is sensitive to the cold (such as potatoes) can be stored at a mild temperature and drinks can be kept at a pleasant drinking temperature. These different temperature zones offer the greatest possible flexibility.
What is meant by MonoFridge mode?
With MonoFridge, you can transform the freezer compartment into a standard refrigerator in just a few hours, freeing up even more space for fresh food.What is the most economical way to use a refrigerator?
Minimise your energy consumption and costs by defrosting your refrigerator regularly, positioning it in a cool place, not on the balcony, letting warm food cool down before placing it in the fridge and tightly covering liquids such as sauces.What actions can I take to prevent undesirable odours?
To make sure the range hood works as effectively as possible, switch it on three to five minutes before you start cooking. This allows an air flow to be established in the room so that vapours and odours can be conducted away quickly. To prevent the build-up of negative pressure and support the extraction of cooking odours, fresh air must be supplied at the same time. As a result, the following rules apply: always open a window when using air extraction solutions. Once you have finished cooking, keep the fan running for another five to ten minutes. Many range hoods have an automatic run-on function for this purpose. In particular, frying pans should be left under the range hood if they are still hot because they can still disperse odours even after you have finished cooking.What is the automatic run-on function?
Hoods with the automatic run-on function extract the remaining cooking vapours from the room for a specific time period (between 5 and 20 minutes) even after you have finished cooking and switched off the range hood. After that point, the range hood is switched off automatically. If the appliance is being used in recirculation mode, the activated charcoal filter can also carry out final drying of the furniture base – just like in range hoods that remove vapours by extracting them downwards (downdraft systems). What does EcoStandby refer to in washing machines?
AdoraWash and Unimatic washing machines need the bare minimum of electricity for the standby function, which helps to reduce household electricity consumption.
What exactly is the vibration absorbing system (VAS)?
With the new Adora model, VAS compensates an unbalanced load during the spinning phase. This means the machine runs particularly smoothly and quietly. Ovens with pyrolytic features practically clean themselves: Dirt is converted into ash by the special pyrolytic self-cleaning programme, which heats the cooking chamber to extremely high temperatures. The ash can then be wiped away with a damp cloth. Pyrolytic self-cleaning is available as an option in all appliances in convenience level V4000 or above.
Are appliances with AutoDoor a safety risk for unsupervised children?
No. If the appliance door reaches its stopping point or encounters resistance, movement is stopped. The appliance door is uncoupled from the drive at a certain angle and can be moved freely. If an appliance door with AutoDoor is stopped manually, you must press the button again or close the appliance door manually to reset it.
How do I open the door of an AutoDoor appliance in the event of a power cut?
The appliance door can always be opened by hand or by using a wooden spoon. The best way to do this is to hold the corners of the glass front and open the door by hand.

The EasyCook function provides you with helpful default settings for over 100 selected foods – so you can cook quickly and with confidence even without a recipe. Simply select the desired food under EasyCook, and the appliance will immediately suggest one or more cooking methods. The selection of foods and recipes can be customised. The «Nutritional style» filter setting can be used to remove foods that are not required at the touch of a button. For example, meat can be deselected if the user is a vegetarian.
