- What are the advantages of having a steamer?- A steamer allows for gentle steam cooking that does not wash out valuable vitamins, minerals and flavours from your food. The unpressurised steaming process operates at temperatures between 30 and 100 °C to enable simple, precision cooking. A smart climate sensor allows the food to be steamed in the best possible conditions, regardless of the amount. The colours are preserved perfectly. Ideal for a healthy and balanced diet.
- Are appliance doors with AutoDoor a safety risk for unsupervised children?- No. If the appliance door reaches its stopping point or encounters resistance, movement is stopped. - What is the «professional baking» function used for?- Bread, rolls and plaited loaves can be achieved at the push of a button using the professional baking application, delivering bakery-level quality. The application provides support right from the process of the dough rising and creates the perfect environment for making the dough ready to bake in the shortest possible time. The combination of hot air and steam keeps the food from drying out while baking and achieves a golden-brown surface. It allows puff pastry dishes to achieve a highly aerated finish.

- How does the regeneration operating mode work?- The cooking chamber is heated by steam and hot air. The food is reheated gently without drying it out. This feature is suitable for reheating cooked food or for cooking convenience products and ready meals. Regeneration can be carried out simultaneously on several levels with no flavour transfer.
- How exactly does the automatic programme work?- The automatic programme is capable of detecting what your dirty dishes need, thereby reducing the consumption of water, electricity and dishwater salt by up to 30%. The programme also works out how long the washing cycle needs to last. This could be anywhere between 50 and 85 minutes.
- What exactly is a water hardness controller?- The water hardness controller ensures that the water always has the ideal hardness. This makes the detergent more effective and ensures that the dishes and glasses are treated gently.
- How does the impulse-controlled rinse agent sensor work?- The impulse-controlled rinse agent sensor ensures that only the minimum amount of rinse agent is used, depending on water hardness and load.
- Why do dishwashers need a hygiene programme?- The hygiene programme is designed for particularly sensitive items such as cutting boards and baby bottles.
- How effectively are creases removed?- The extent to which creases are removed very much depends on the type of fabric, as the fibre types all behave differently. Creases in textiles made from cotton and polyester fabric blends or wool, for instance, can be removed significantly more effectively than those in textiles made from linen, cotton or silk. A superior crease removal effect can also be achieved with cotton shirts labelled as "anti-crease" or "easy-care".
- How much energy does the energy saver button actually save?- The energy saver programme reduces the washing temperature by 5°C, which results in an energy saving of 10%.
- How are textiles sanitised?- The additional hygiene programme eliminates germs using an elevated temperature (above 60 °C) over a longer exposure time. Independent laboratory trials have confirmed a reduction in germs of up to 99.99 %.
- How does the refresh programme work and how does it remove unpleasant odours?- The refresh programme draws out and then eliminates odours from textiles using a combination of an elevated temperature and steam.
- Can body odour also be removed from fabrics?- Yes, in principle, body odour can also be removed from fabrics. It should be kept in mind, however, that body odour is produced to help remove bacteria. Since sweat is unique to each individual, the treatment result may differ from person to person. We recommend washing sweaty clothes.
- What is the difference between the Party programme and the Sprint programme?- The Sprint programme lasts 20 minutes and is suitable for quickly cleaning lightly soiled pre-dinner glasses. The Party programme lasts 11 minutes and is perfect for when an exceptionally large number of dishes need to be washed quickly ready to be used again – for example, a party with many guests. When using the party programme, the dishwasher starts with a 20-minute heating phase, after which the dishwasher can be fully loaded up to five times in a row.
- What are the key benefits to a room air laundry dryer?- Very careful drying as drying is without heat and friction, walls kept dry and therefore no formation of mould, quick drying, no hanging in stuffy cellar rooms for days on end, possible to dry anything that can be stored in the room (e.g. tents, carpets, sleeping bags, covers).
- My dishes are still not clean when they come out of the dishwasher – what can I do?- There are a number of reasons for unsatisfactory cleaning results. The most common are listed below: - Too many dishes are packed too closely together in the dishwasher, preventing the water jets from the spray nozzles from reaching every part of the dishes and resulting in spray shadows. Spray shadows are surfaces on dishes that have been missed by the water jet and are therefore not cleaned. - The dishwasher's spray arms are blocked, meaning that the water spray pressure is too low for proper cleaning. In this case, you can simply remove the spray arms (see the operating instructions) and clean the nozzles under the tap. - Select the RinsePlus user setting on the dishwasher. RinsePlus increases the amount of water and extends the programme duration.
- My dishes are still damp when they come out of the dishwasher – what can I do?- - You need to increase the amount of rinse aid in the user settings (ex-works level 4). This will increase the level of rinse agent used in the rinsing process, thereby improving the dryness. - Select the DryPlus user setting on the dishwasher. DryPlus increases the temperature during final rinsing and extends the programme duration.
- Why does the appliance run for so long?- Room air laundry drying takes more time, as the laundry is streamed less efficiently with air and the temperatures during this process are also lower than when drying in the drum. Other factors that slow down the drying process: A lot of laundry in a small room, very damp laundry (of small spinning speed), open doors or windows, humidity that additionally enters the room, clogged front filter mat, items that prevent the release of air, soiled or faulty humidity sensor.
- How big may the room be?- The recommended maximum size of the room is 25 m² (50 m³)
- Do dishwashers also have sprint programmes?- Extremely fast programmes are offered at each convenience level. These programmes last between 11 and 30 minutes depending on the convenience level.
- How does the RefreshButler dry the clothes?- The integrated heat pump and the ventilation system blow warm air into the interior and whisk away the humid air.
- Does the dishwasher have load detection?- The dishwasher uses sophisticated technology to measure the amount of water which is drained from the dishwasher before flowing back into the water cycle via the drum floor. If little water flows back, the dishwasher recognises that it has a full load. The opposite happens when the dishwasher only has a light load. In this case, a large amount of water flows back into the system and the amount of water is adjusted automatically. This enables the dishwasher to save up to 1.5 litres of water for each main programme selected.
- How does the OptiDos drawer need to be cleaned?- There are two options. In the event of minor soiling, the unique, automatic cleaning programme can be started via the OptiDos settings. It rinses both OptiDos dispensers with water. The second option can be applied when switching from softener to detergent or in the event of strong soiling (e.g. deposited detergent). In doing so, the OptiDos drawer can be easily removed manually without using tools and cleaned by rinsing under the tap. Do not clean the drawer in the dishwasher.
- When does the OptiDos drawer need to be cleaned?- As required, in the event of strong soiling and when changing from softener to detergent.
- How does the appliance hygiene function stop the build-up of odours?- V-ZUG offers the appliance hygiene function in AdoraWash Vx000 washing machines. It appears at regular intervals on the appliance. The programme cleans the drum interior (while it is empty) at the maximum temperature, eliminating any bacteria that might lead to unpleasant odours.
- How does the appliance hygiene programme work?- Start it without putting any laundry in the washing machine. The programme heats a small amount of water to approximately 80°C and then treats the inside of the appliance with steam to significantly reduce the number of germs.
- Why are there no fully extending runners as accessories for the PowerSteam?- We have chosen to dispense with fully extending runners to maintain our high standards with regard to perfect cooking results. These alter the microwave field significantly and result in localised changes to the heating of the food.
- Can softener or pre-detergent be added manually via the drawer on the right if OptiDos is used? Do additional settings need to be made?- Yes, the softener can be added separately in the right compartment even if detergent was chosen from the OptiDos drawer. This does not require any additional settings, as the detergent compartment on the right-hand side is rinsed for every wash.
- Why does the PowerSteam not have an energy label?- According to the standard, combined appliances with microwave ovens are not allowed to have energy labels. We have been reprimanded by the European Standards Committee regarding the MSLQ. That is why we have removed the energy-label from both the PowerSteam and the MSLQ. (We would have otherwise achieved the good rating of A+)
- What if too much foam forms during the wash?- We recommend checking the dosage setting of the selected OptiDos dispenser and, if necessary, adjusting it in accordance with the currently used agent. Here, we recommend the quantity stated by the manufacturer for 4–5 kg of laundry.
- Are additional accessories required to use OptiDos?- No. Both detergent dispensers are supplied with the washing machine and can be immediately filled with the desired liquid agents or softeners.
- Can organic or soap detergents also be used?- Yes. In the user settings, modular detergents can be activated by activating the function. This type of detergent is added to the detergent dispenser drawer on the right.
- What are the different installation options for hobs?Hobs that are fitted flush with the worktop achieve perfect aesthetic integration and create the impression of compact simplicity. Hobs with a set-off glass frame (bevel-edged) have a very elegant appearance, while chromium steel frames and over-large frames (for replacements) convince by their simplicity of installation and their classic design, they fit in a wide variety of kitchen combinations.
- How is the correct dosing volume of liquid detergent set?- As standard, we recommend entering the dosing volume of the detergent manufacturer for 4–5 kg of laundry, medium soiling and the local water hardness in the machine. In most cases, the recommended dosing volume of the manufacturer can be found in a table on the rear of the packaging.
- What can be filled in the OptiDos dispensers?- The following liquid detergents may be added to each dispenser: Universal detergent, colour detergent, fine detergent, softener, wool detergent, baby detergent, detergent for black clothes, detergent for white clothes, outdoor detergent. The dispensers can be flexibly filled according to personal requirements. Both dispensers with detergent, both dispensers with softener, one dispenser of detergent and one dispenser of softener, only one dispenser used with detergent or softener. The dispensers are also easily emptied if necessary and filled with another agent.
- Why do I need the Indoor Ice System (IDI)?- The IDI is a convenient way of dispensing ice cubes, ice chips and ice water. The sensor-controlled ice cube maker automatically provides the correct amount. The IDI is integrated into the fridge door instead of the freezer, which means you gain 20% of freezer space.
- Ergonomic cooking is important to me. What do I need to consider?- Make sure the cooking zones are generously spaced so the pans don't touch. We'd recommend a hob with cooking zones in a V- or A-shaped alignment. You might also consider a panorama hob, where the cooking zones are positioned in a single line for easy access.
- I suffer from allergies. Can a washing machine help me cope with them?- The anti-mite programme eradicates mites and allergens – importantly, that includes house dust mite excretions, which are linked to respiratory problems. These unwelcome house guests are incredibly resilient, but they are completely wiped out by the anti-mite programme found in AdoraWash and Unimatic product lines. The results are so good that even technical institutes are sharing them.
- How do the washing machines stand out in terms of energy efficiency?- The energy label provides information about this. Three factors are measured in washing machines – energy consumption, washing performance and spin efficiency. All V-ZUG washing machines have achieved an A+++ rating in energy efficiency.
- I don’t often have much time for washing. Are there any fast programmes available?- Yes, there are – the 40 °C and 60 °C Sprint programmes. Both of these are able to run with very little water and are gentle on your washing.
- Where can I install the new CoffeeCenter V6000 45?- An automatic built-in coffee machine that is built into the kitchen front not only makes for an aesthetically pleasing solution that looks the part, but it also frees up worktop space. TheCoffeeCenter V6000 45 in the new Excellence Line design is built into tall cabinets, allowing it to blend in seamlessly with other thermal appliances in this new generation.
- Am I tied to a particular type of coffee with the V-ZUG automatic built-in coffee machine?- The CoffeeCenter V6000 45 uses coffee beans, which means you are free to explore the fascinating world of coffee to your heart’s content.
- Why does the washing drum have so many holes?- The V-ZUG Special Care Drum has 14,000 holes to protect delicate fabrics and prevent wear and tear from friction during the washing process.
- Why is the grinding so important for a perfect cup of coffee?- Apart from the quality of the coffee beans and the blend, the right grinding technique is crucial. The more evenly the coffee is ground and dosed, the better the result. The highly innovative new ceramic grinder of the Supremo SL meets these requirements and is extremely durable. And it has another great benefit: it is very quiet.
- What is the purpose of the hot water and steam nozzle?- The nozzle produces hot water for tea and other hot drinks. It also lets you conveniently froth cold milk for a delicious cappuccino or hot chocolate.
- What is V-ZUG TopClean?- This is the most high-tech solution of all the cleaning aids. The specially developed enamel coating makes cleaning the cooking chamber or baking trays even easier. Its excellent non-stick properties allow all residue to be removed simply and effortlessly with a damp cloth.
- How does pyrolytic self-cleaning work?- Ovens with pyrolytic features practically clean themselves: Dirt is converted into ash by the special pyrolytic self-cleaning programme, which heats the cooking chamber to extremely high temperatures. The ash can then be wiped away with a damp cloth. Pyrolytic self-cleaning is available as an option in all appliances in convenience level V4000 or above.
- How important is it for the range hood to cover the entire hob surface? The more the range hood covers the hob, the better the extraction performance. This is why flat pull-out deflector plates perform very well. For wall and island hoods, you should make sure that the majority of the hob is well covered.
- Is there a special programme for woollens?- Yes, there is. The wool programme has been specially designed to treat woollen fabrics extremely gently during the wash cycle and with a much lower spin speed. This produces fantastic results while putting the wool under as little strain as possible.
- Is there not a risk of burning yourself on the door front?- All appliances are guaranteed to have low external door temperatures. In the case of normal ovens and steamers, a triple-layer glass door ensures safe operation while cooking. Pyrolytic self-cleaning ovens actually have a four-layer glass door concept. Thanks to the innovative door concept in the Advanced and Excellence Line, the door is ventilated with air from the room, thereby keeping the temperature of the outer door lower than it is for the standard models. What’s more, active appliance door ventilation also enables lower outer door temperatures for pyrolytic self-cleaning appliances.
- What is the difference between an oven and a cooker?- A cooker is always installed underneath the worktop and has switches that allow the hob to be controlled. The oven is usually installed at eye level in a tall unit. This makes operation more convenient and ergonomic.
- What is EasyCook and how do the filter functions work?- The EasyCook function provides you with helpful default settings for over 100 selected foods – so you can cook quickly and with confidence even without a recipe. Simply select the desired food under EasyCook, and the appliance will immediately suggest one or more cooking methods. The selection of foods and recipes can be customised. The «Nutritional style» filter setting can be used to remove foods that are not required at the touch of a button. For example, meat can be deselected if the user is a vegetarian. The «National cuisines» filter, on the other hand, expands the range of dishes to include country-specific recipes and can be quickly adapted to your personal culinary style.
- Can an existing cooker or oven be replaced with a steamer?- The CombairSteamer fits best in an existing niche (762 mm) for a standard oven or cooker. These appliances combine a complete oven and steaming functions. CombairSteamers offer all the steaming programmes of a steam cooker and the classic functions of an oven – such as hot air, top/bottom heat and grill. If expanding the niche is possible, we recommend the classic combination of a 45 oven and a 45 CombiSteamer, allowing you to benefit from the flexibility of having two cooking spaces.
- How do the hob hood and the hob with integrated range hood work?Steam and odours rise at a maximum rate of one metre per second. The V-ZUG hob hood or hob with integrated range hood extracts the air using a cross current that is higher than the rising speed of the cooking vapour. As a result, cooking vapours and odours can be effectively extracted straight away at the hob.
- What are the advantages of baking with hot air over traditional top/bottom heat?- Advantages over traditional top/bottom heat are that the results are comparable to what you can buy at a bakery. The V-ZUG hot-air concept achieves much more efficient (hot) air distribution because the hot air circulates in the oven cavity and the heat cooks the top and bottom of the baked goods more evenly. What’s more, you can even bake on two levels at the same time using hot air.
- Is there a heating mode for pizza and flans?- The PizzaPlus programme combines hot air with bottom heat. This is what makes your pizza, quiche or fruit tart base wonderfully crispy.
- How do I achieve perfectly tender meat?- The patented automatic soft roasting mode guarantees automatic, dynamic control over the food probe temperature. The meat becomes tender, stays juicy and is perfectly cooked. Combined with the new three-point food probe, the meat is prepared to perfection at the push of a button – cooking it to exactly the right level so that it can be served when you want.

The baby garments programme, for example, ensures that your little one's clothes turn out perfectly hygienically clean. Microbiological tests by the Veritas laboratory have confirmed its effectiveness.
- What is the purpose of the night economy programme?- The Adora night economy programme reduces energy consumption by 40% and water consumption by 20%. You can make use of lower night electricity rates and protect the environment. What's more, the Adora is very quiet.
- How does bottom heat work?- Heating is provided by the bottom heating element and allows cake bases to be baked intensively and containers to be sterilised. For a crispy result, we recommend using the dark enamel tray.
- How does hot air work?- A heating element behind the hot air diffuser plate heats up the air inside the cooking chamber, which is circulated evenly. The feature is suitable for cakes, biscuits, bread and roasted meat on two levels. Set the temperature approx. 20 °C lower than for top/bottom heat.
