Why and how often does the RefreshButler need to be descaled?
The appliance automatically detects when descaling is necessary. If the refresh or hygiene programmes are used every 2 days, the following descaling intervals will be necessary: Descaling interval depending on water hardness: ▪ Hard: approx. every 3 months ▪ Medium: approx. every 4 months ▪ Soft: approx. every 7 months
How are creases reduced?
Applying steam makes the textile fibres smooth, causing creases to unfold. Clothing is smoothed out using a combination of its own weight and a gentle stream of air.
How effectively are creases removed?
The extent to which creases are removed very much depends on the type of fabric, as the fibre types all behave differently. Creases in textiles made from cotton and polyester fabric blends or wool, for instance, can be removed significantly more effectively than those in textiles made from linen, cotton or silk. A superior crease removal effect can also be achieved with cotton shirts labelled as "anti-crease" or "easy-care".
How are textiles sanitised?
The additional hygiene programme eliminates germs using an elevated temperature (above 60 °C) over a longer exposure time. Independent laboratory trials have confirmed a reduction in germs of up to 99.99 %.
How does the impulse-controlled rinse agent sensor work?
The impulse-controlled rinse agent sensor ensures that only the minimum amount of rinse agent is used, depending on water hardness and load.
Can body odour also be removed from fabrics?
Yes, in principle, body odour can also be removed from fabrics. It should be kept in mind, however, that body odour is produced to help remove bacteria. Since sweat is unique to each individual, the treatment result may differ from person to person. We recommend washing sweaty clothes.
Can rain-soaked clothes also be dried?
Yes, wet clothes can easily be dried again in next to no time using the additional drying programme.
How is the odour removal function in the RefreshButler different to other drying cabinet appliances?
The RefreshButler actually eliminates odorous substances, thereby removing odours with a lasting effect. Other appliances simply mask odorous substances with perfume or odour-masking scents during the refresh programme.
How does the RefreshButler dry the clothes?
The integrated heat pump and the ventilation system blow warm air into the interior and whisk away the humid air.
When does the water tank need to be filled or emptied?
We recommend filling the fresh water tank at the start of each programme and emptying both tanks at the end of each programme. The appliance automatically detects and notifies you when the condensation tank is full or the fresh water tank is empty.
Can you install an extra-high dishwasher under any circumstances?
Theoretically yes. Please discuss this option with your specialist dealer.
What is the best way of stowing large or unwieldy cutlery?
If you often clean ladles, wooden spoons, whisks or long meat knives in the dishwasher, we recommend using our Vario cutlery basket insert. The Vario cutlery basket insert is already included as standard in our SL models, but can also be bought as an optional accessory for our models in the N and S lines. The Vario cutlery basket insert can also be retrofitted to older appliances.
I don’t always have enough dirty dishes to load the dishwasher completely. What would you recommend?
Part load – the programme adapts to smaller loads. Far less water is consumed, with a saving of between 1 and 6 litres. The programme runtime is reduced by up to 30 minutes.
I don't always have enough dirty dishes to load the dishwasher completely. What would you recommend?
The «Upper rack» only function makes a ZUG dishwasher even more flexible and will save 2.6 litres of water, depending on the wash programme.
Do I still need to add salt to the dishwasher if I am using all-in-1 tabs?
Yes, absolutely! The salt is needed to regenerate the dishwasher's integrated softening unit. The softening unit descales the water that flows through the dishwasher. If the water is not descaled, limescale builds up on the integrated components in the dishwasher. The all-in-1 tabs only soften the water which enters the dishwasher when a programme is selected. This is only partly effective, as each tab contains only a limited amount of salt.
Do I still need to add a rinse aid to the dishwasher if I am using all-in-1 tabs?
Yes, absolutely. For optimum cleaning and drying results, we always recommend adding rinse aid to the dishwasher. The amount of rinse aid in the tabs is not sufficient to achieve optimum drying results.
Can I also connect the dishwasher to a hot water supply?
You can set up our dishwashers for use with hot water. To do this, you will need to select the hot water function in the user settings. The dishwasher will now work in an operating mode adapted for use with hot water.
Can I put all dishes in the dishwasher?
We recommend the following: Not all dishes are suitable for cleaning in a dishwasher. - Wash items made of wood or plastic that are sensitive to alkalis or heat by hand. - Earthenware tends to crack and splinter. - Glass and porcelain prints are only resistant to a limited extent and may dissolve over time. - Glass can become cloudy depending on the type and the detergent used. Check with your glass supplier whether the glass is dishwasher-safe. - Tension may develop in polished and thick-walled crystal glasses and bowls, which may lead to breakages. - Do not wash dishes with stickers. Dissolved stickers can block the filter system. - Objects made of silver, copper and tin tend to stain brown or black. - Aluminium tends to form stains. Wash aluminium separately or by hand.
What are the advantages of having a steamer?
A steamer allows for gentle steam cooking that does not wash out valuable vitamins, minerals and flavours from your food. The unpressurised steaming process operates at temperatures between 30 and 100 °C to enable simple, precision cooking. A smart climate sensor allows the food to be steamed in the best possible conditions, regardless of the amount. The colours are preserved perfectly. Ideal for a healthy and balanced diet.
Induction hobs offer pan detection. How does this work?
Have you ever turned your stove on by accident or forgotten to turn off the heat? Now this not a problem any more. Pan detection ensures that the stove generates heat only when a pan is placed on the hob. A timer-controlled safety shut-off monitors each cooking zone and turns it off after a certain period. And if you have some aspiring junior chefs in your family, use the childproof lock to prevent accidents. What different types of fridges are available?

Can an existing cooker or oven be replaced with a steamer?
The CombairSteamer fits best in an existing niche (762 mm) for a standard oven or cooker. These appliances combine a complete oven and steaming functions. CombairSteamers offer all the steaming programmes of a steam cooker and the classic functions of an oven – such as hot air, top/bottom heat and grill. If expanding the niche is possible, we recommend the classic combination of a 45 oven and a 45 CombiSteamer, allowing you to benefit from the flexibility of having two cooking chambers.
Ergonomic cooking is important to me. What do I need to consider?
Make sure the cooking zones are generously spaced so the pans don't touch. We'd recommend a hob with cooking zones in a V- or A-shaped alignment. You might also consider a panorama hob, where the cooking zones are positioned in a single line for easy access.
Are there health risks involved with using induction hobs?
In spite of a great number of studies, scientists so far have found no proof that electromagnetic fields pose any environmental or health risks. Like any domestic appliance, induction hobs generate an electromagnetic field. However, the field is many times less powerful than that generated by an electric razor, a hair dryer or a power drill. To find out more visit www.fea.ch, the website of the Swiss Association of the Domestic Electrical Appliances Industry.
What makes induction hobs so easy to clean?
Induction hobs are impressively fast. They react quickly and are finely adjustable, which means liquids will rarely boil over, if ever. As the heat is generated in the base of the pan only, the glass around the cooking zone is hardly warmed up at all. Therefore spilt food won't burn and the hob can be cleaned easily with a damp cloth. How do you clean the hob?
Slight soiling can be removed with a smooth cloth and a little detergent. To tackle heavy dirt, apply glass ceramic cleaning agent with a sponge, leave it on for a few minutes and then remove it with a cloth. Encrusted dirt can be removed with a hob scraper.Where can I install the new CoffeeCenter V6000 45?

What is the automatic run-on function?
Hoods with the automatic run-on function extract the remaining cooking vapours from the room for a specific time period (between 5 and 20 minutes) even after you have finished cooking and switched off the range hood. After that point, the range hood is switched off automatically. If the appliance is being used in recirculation mode, the activated charcoal filter can also carry out final drying of the furniture base – just like in range hoods that remove vapours by extracting them downwards (downdraft systems). This useful function is integrated into various range hoods and downdraft systems, and is activated by tapping the clock button shown at the end of the cooking process. What is the difference between an oven and a cooker?
A cooker is always installed underneath the worktop and has switches that allow the hob to be controlled. The oven is usually installed at eye level in a tall unit. This makes operation more convenient and ergonomic.

Since the start of 2020, products have been given a rating on a scale of A+++ to D. The most energy-efficient V-ZUG range hoods are in efficiency category A++.Does the hob ventilation/hob hood ventilation also work with taller pots?
Cooking vapours can be extracted without any problems in the case of pots up to 20 cm tall. For pots that are over 21 cm tall, we recommend placing the pot lid at an angle in order to direct the steam towards the range hood. What do I need to consider with regard to the exhaust duct?
If possible, you should make sure that the duct diameter is at least 125 mm and ideally 150 mm. If there is no room for a round pipe, a flat channel with an equivalent cross section may also be used. The use of 90° pipe bends should be kept to a minimum. Narrowing cross sections and reducing pipes with a smooth inner surface should also be avoided. We recommend using short piping lengths, wall boxes with large slats and sufficient replacement air.Can microwave ovens be fitted into cabinets?
Microwave ovens can be fitted into a tall or wall cabinet. This means they don't take up space on the worktop and their design fits your other V-ZUG appliances.

You can use your microwave in combined mode to prepare a gratin, lasagne, cake or baked potatoes, or bake bread and puff pastry using only the hot air mode. The possibilities are endless. Compared to a regular oven, meals in microwaves take only two-thirds to half the time in combined mode.
Is there anything in particular I need to consider when cooking with microwaves?
With certain foods such as potatoes or tomatoes, make sure you puncture the peel several times so the steam building up inside them can escape. Also, you should cover your food with wrapping film or a lid. Puncture the film lightly before cooking. Certain foods such as vegetables require you to stir them a few times or add some water during cooking.
What makes the extractor hoods particularly user-friendly?
We recommend conveying the extracted air outside wherever possible, as this carries smells away from the kitchen. The most effective solution is to use an exhaust system (duct) with a diameter of 150 mm.
Which descaling solutions are suitable?
We recommend only using durgol swiss steamer for descaling. Standard descaling solutions are not suitable as they may contain foam-creating additives or not be effective enough. Using a different descaler could cause overfoaming, inadequate descaling or, in extreme cases, damage to the appliance.

How long will the LED lights last in my range hood?
Since 2019, all our range hoods have been equipped exclusively with energy-saving LED lights. LEDs have energy-efficient properties plus a long service life. What should I bear in mind when planning and installing an exhaust duct?
The exhaust duct should be as short as possible and have as few bends and curves as possible. Ideally, it should have a diameter of 150 mm. Each additional metre added to the exhaust duct and each additional bend will create resistance, reducing the power of the range hood. A more powerful range hood cannot compensate for a poorly designed exhaust duct. This will only result in increased losses and noise levels. Reducing the diameter of the exhaust duct should be avoided where possible – due to the increased flow rate, this will also lead to increased noise levels. How important is it for the range hood to cover the entire hob surface?
The more the range hood covers the hob, the better the extraction performance. This is why flat pull-out deflector plates perform very well. For wall and island hoods, you should make sure that the majority of the hob is well covered. What types of range hoods are there?
There are different solutions to suit you – whether you want your range hood to be an eye-catching design feature or for it to be discreetly integrated into your kitchen. On the wall If you want to make your range hood stand out, then a wall hood is a great choice. Wall hoods are also available as slanted versions which provide ample headroom. They are installed on the wall directly above the hob. Integrated into the kitchen units If you would rather incorporate the hood into the kitchen so that it is virtually invisible, then we recommend a built-in range hood with a glass canopy, a flat-panel range hood or an integrated range hood. These are perfect for kitchens in which you need to make clever use of the space. On the ceiling Range hoods designed for ceiling installation are the perfect solution in open-plan kitchens that feature a free-standing cooking island. Choose your favourites from our elegant ceiling range hoods and our wide range of attractive island hoods. Downdraft or in the hob itself Without long detours, cooking vapours are whisked away at the very place where they first develop – on the hob itself.
