Why and how often does the RefreshButler need to be descaled?
The appliance automatically detects when descaling is necessary. If the refresh or hygiene programmes are used every 2 days, the following descaling intervals will be necessary: Descaling interval depending on water hardness: ▪ Hard: approx. every 3 months ▪ Medium: approx. every 4 months ▪ Soft: approx. every 7 months
Can the air flow be changed?
No, the air flow cannot be changed. However, as the air circulation has only a limited impact on the drying, factors such as the size of the room, volume of laundry or how the laundry was hung up are more decisive.
Does the DualDry have an hour timer?
Although the DualDry has time-controlled programmes, they do not need to be used to switch off the appliance automatically. An integrated humidity sensor measures the level of dryness reached and automatically deactivates the DualDry if the desired degree has been reached.
The drying period depends on the following factors:
spinning capacity of the selected washing programme, textile types, laundry volume in the room, room temperature and humidity, placement of the laundry in the room and how it is arranged, hanging habits (“double” over a line, “single” over a line with pegs, “single” over two lines)
How do I recognise a clogged filter in the DualDry?
The appliance reports a fault. A9: Cleaning sieves and mats.
How long does the drying take?
According to the measurement in line with the standard, the drying capacity at a maximum room size of 9 m² is 1.34 kg/h and it takes 5h 40min.
How are textiles sanitised?
The additional hygiene programme eliminates germs using an elevated temperature (above 60 °C) over a longer exposure time. Independent laboratory trials have confirmed a reduction in germs of up to 99.99 %.
What must be taken into account when using accessories in a combi-appliance with microwave oven?
Do not use metal accessories such as cooking trays, baking trays or cutlery. These could create sparks. Check before use whether the accessories are microwaveable. Use the perforated plastic cooking tray for PowerSteam.
Can body odour also be removed from fabrics?
Yes, in principle, body odour can also be removed from fabrics. It should be kept in mind, however, that body odour is produced to help remove bacteria. Since sweat is unique to each individual, the treatment result may differ from person to person. We recommend washing sweaty clothes.
Is an artificial odour applied to the fabric during the refresh programme?
No – the photocatalysis process only removes odours and does not apply odorous or odour-masking substances to the fabric. A cupboard deodoriser can be used to match the scent to your liking.
What is the energy consumption like compared to tumble drying or previous room air laundry dryers?
As drying in a room takes place at low temperatures and the laundry in a room can be less efficiently streamed with air, drying laundry in a room can require slightly more energy than when drying in the drum.
Why does the appliance run for so long?
Room air laundry drying takes more time, as the laundry is streamed less efficiently with air and the temperatures during this process are also lower than when drying in the drum. Other factors that slow down the drying process: A lot of laundry in a small room, very damp laundry (of small spinning speed), open doors or windows, humidity that additionally enters the room, clogged front filter mat, items that prevent the release of air, soiled or faulty humidity sensor.
How big may the room be?
The recommended maximum size of the room is 25 m² (50 m³)
How much laundry can be dried?
The nominal load is 1–7 kg for the drying process in the machine. If room air laundry drying is applied, a maximum room size of 25 m² is recommended. The room air laundry dryer has a drying capacity of 1.34 kg/h, which corresponds to about 5 hours for a full laundry load of 7 kg.
Should I choose a vented dryer or a condenser dryer?
It depends: for a vented dryer, you'll need to install an air duct leading outside from where you intend to place the dryer.
How does the RefreshButler dry the clothes?
The integrated heat pump and the ventilation system blow warm air into the interior and whisk away the humid air.
When does the water tank need to be filled or emptied?
We recommend filling the fresh water tank at the start of each programme and emptying both tanks at the end of each programme.The appliance automatically detects and notifies you when the condensation tank is full or the fresh water tank is empty.
How does the OptiDos drawer need to be cleaned?
There are two options. In the event of minor soiling, the unique, automatic cleaning programme can be started via the OptiDos settings. It rinses both OptiDos dispensers with water. The second option can be applied when switching from softener to detergent or in the event of strong soiling (e.g. deposited detergent). In doing so, the OptiDos drawer can be easily removed manually without using tools and cleaned by rinsing under the tap. Do not clean the drawer in the dishwasher.
What is the purpose of the normal dry programme?
This programme is designed for homogenous loads - an entire machine full of terry towels or underwear, for example.
What is the purpose to the irondry programme?
Use this programme if you plan to iron your laundry immediately after washing it.
How does the appliance hygiene programme work?
Start it without putting any laundry in the washing machine. The programme heats a small amount of water to approximately 80°C and then treats the inside of the appliance with steam to significantly reduce the number of germs.
Can softener or pre-detergent be added manually via the drawer on the right if OptiDos is used? Do additional settings need to be made?
Yes, the softener can be added separately in the right compartment even if detergent was chosen from the OptiDos drawer. This does not require any additional settings, as the detergent compartment on the right-hand side is rinsed for every wash.
When does it make sense to use washing powder?
Primarily for white laundry. Because only washing powder contains bleach and can therefore better remove stains from fruit, coffee, tea, etc.
What if too much foam forms during the wash?
We recommend checking the dosage setting of the selected OptiDos dispenser and, if necessary, adjusting it in accordance with the currently used agent. Here, we recommend the quantity stated by the manufacturer for 4–5 kg of laundry.
Are additional accessories required to use OptiDos?
No. Both detergent dispensers are supplied with the washing machine and can be immediately filled with the desired liquid agents or softeners.
Does drying take less time if the laundry is well spun?
Indeed, thorough spinning reduces the time and energy required to dry your laundry. Creases caused during spinning will be largely flattened out in the tumble dryer.
Why was the DualDry not also implemented in the V6000?
The DualDry was implemented in accordance with the OptiDos appliance for the V4000. This means that the two new V-ZUG products can be perfectly combined with one another.Furthermore, it is more cost-effective to offer the DualDry with the V4000 than would be possible with the V6000.
Why was the DualDry not also implemented in the Unimatic?
The DualDry was implemented in the Adora, as the air throughput was too low for a laundry room in an apartment building. Furthermore, the operating modes cannot run at the same time. If laundry is hanging up in the room and another tenant decides to use the tumble dryer, then this eliminates the possibility of room air laundry drying as the humidity within the room is no longer regulated.
Does the use of the DualDry with the moisture control programme still have an effect and is it even influenced by the Minergie system?
It is unlikely that the combination of “comfort ventilation (target humidity: 30–50%) and DualDry (target humidity: 50–60%)” would cause problems.
DualDry: why is the moisture control programme restricted to a maximum of 7 days?
This restriction prevents the appliance from being used as a construction dryer. This is not what it is designed for. The running time has an influence on the components and can also be considered a safety issue. A period of 7 days has been defined as once a week is generally considered sufficient for washing and drying.
What different types of fridges are available?
There are refrigerators with or without an internal freezer compartment, pure freezers, refrigerator/freezer combinations, and wine coolers. Under-counter refrigerators are fitted underneath worktops in studio apartments or small flats. Conventional refrigerators are integrated into tall cupboards. These are available as fully integrated versions as well as in White or Nero. The real colossus of the refrigerator world comes in the form of the FoodCenter, whose features even include an ice maker for ice cubes, crushed ice or iced water in addition to a gigantic refrigerator compartment. We also offer luxury refrigerators and freezers in the Supreme line, whose sheer space and flexibility make them ideal for stocking up.Are there fridges with an integrated icemaker?
The FoodCenter, CombiCooler Supreme and the Freezer Supreme (appliances in the Supreme line are only available in selected markets) are all equipped with an ice maker, which can dispense ice cubes, crushed ice or iced water. No, the two tanks are only for liquid detergent. However, washing with powder is still possible with the AdoraWash V4000 OptiDos, at any time and without technical modification.
Is liquid detergent still the trend or will there be a switch to tabs?
The trend is currently for liquid detergents and is moving away from powder. Tabs are hardly a thing yet when it comes to laundry. Percentages: 68% liquid, 26% powder and 6% caps/tabs (source: Mibelle Group, October 2018)
Why are grease stains or other stains left on the washed laundry?
We recommend checking the dosage setting of the selected OptiDos dispenser and, if necessary, adjusting it in accordance with the currently used agent. Here, we recommend the quantity stated by the manufacturer for 4–5 kg of laundry. The water hardness set may also need to be checked or a powder-based wool detergent (contains bleach) used.
What detergent is the right one for my selected programme?
V-ZUG OptiDos supports the detergent selection with an intuitive, unique selection aid. It uses a symbol to show which detergent from the OptiDos dispenser suits the selected programme best.
Can I continue to use powder and special detergents?
Yes. Thanks to the intuitive, simple programme selection, it is possible to choose whether or not OptiDos should be used for the wash after every programme selection. When selecting “without OptiDos”, the detergent is taken from the right detergent dispenser drawer as usual.
What is the best way to keep vegetables fresh?
The 0°C zone (at high humidity) provides the ideal climate to double the storage time of fresh vegetables, salad and herbs.How do I know long the tank content will last?
By pulling out the OptiDos drawer, the load capacity for both dispensers is shown on the touch display and whether or not there is sufficient detergent. If the filing level is low, a notification will automatically appear on the display after the wash (without pulling out the detergent dispenser drawer).
Is there anything that may NOT be filled in the OptiDos dispenser?
Yes. Powder detergent, tabs, Javelle water or comparable bleaches may not be filled in the containers.
What is the energy saving potential of a modern refrigerator?

Why do I need the holiday function?

How does the steam anti-crease programme work?
The steam anti-crease additional programme can be selected with a large number of washing programmes. Is there a special programme for woollens?
Yes, there is. The wool programme has been specially designed to treat woollen fabrics extremely gently during the wash cycle and with a much lower spin speed. This produces fantastic results while putting the wool under as little strain as possible.

The PowerPlus function offered by almost all induction hobs helps you save time. What is the purpose of the textile type programme?
The Adora SLQ and Adora SL models automatically select the appropriate wash programme for different types of laundry such as jeans, baby clothes or net curtains. The baby garments programme, for example, ensures that your little one's clothes turn out perfectly hygienically clean. What is the purpose of the night economy programme?
The Adora night economy programme reduces energy consumption by 40% and water consumption by 20%. You can make use of lower night electricity rates and protect the environment. What's more, the Adora is very quiet.
What is the purpose of the turbidity sensor?
By continuously monitoring water turbidity, the ZUG Adora can detect when your laundry has been sufficiently rinsed. This has two advantages: your clothes are perfectly rinsed and water consumption is reduced by 30%.
What is the purpose of the degree of soiling button?
This adapts the wash programme to the degree of soiling. This additional function is typical for V-ZUG appliances and helps you save water, time and energy.
What is the purpose of the tilting operating panel?
Your convenience is important to us. Thanks to the articulated design, you can position the operating panel according to your personal preference.
How does the «Tip and go» function work?
You select a main programme by pressing a singlebutton. This means all the required settings are automatically chosen. If desired, you can select additional programmes or functions by pressing the corresponding buttons. If no button is pressed within 20 seconds, the programme selected will start automatically.
How can I save energy and water while doing laundry?
V-ZUG helps you to do this automatically thanks to the partial load water and energy economy function and EcoManagement. The latter shows you in advance whether your choice of programme is going to use large or small amounts of energy and water. The OptiTime delayed start option also helps you to save lots of energy if you have a bit of spare time.
Washing laundry at 20°C is becoming increasingly popular. Do V-ZUG washing machines offer this functionality?
To meet our customer's requirements, our new laundry room appliances now feature a 20°C wash programme that can be selected by pressing a dedicated button.
How long do the LEDs remain lighting if the door is left open?
The lamps go out automatically after 2 minutes, which means that the washing machine can be left open after washing. The Start/Pause/Light button can be used to switch off the light manually. The automatic lighting can also be deactivated in the user settings.
What is the life cycle of the drum lighting LED?
The lifecycle corresponds to the appliance lifecycle. Therefore 4,000 batches / 15 years.
Can the drum lighting LEDs be replaced?
Yes, the drum lighting can be replaced.
Does the AdoraDry V2000 have the same programmes as the Adora TL?
Not quite. The Down thick, Down thin, Bed linen, Outdoor programmes used very rarely by users have not been adopted. Making a clearer distinction between the V2000 and the V4000.
Why does the V6000 model not exist with OptiDos?
Due to the heat pump, it is not possible to implement it in the AdoraWash V6000 due to a lack of space.
How do I explain the use of DualDry in MINERGIE buildings?
If the laundry room or drying room are also to be connected to the comfort ventilation system, the two systems (comfort ventilation and DualDry) will complement each other when drying wet laundry. This means that increased air humidity in the room is reduced (dehumidified) both by the comfort ventilation system and by our dryer. There may be a problem if the target room humidity of the comfort ventilation system is set higher than that of the dryer. This would mean that the comfort ventilation system becomes permanently moist and our dryer would be permanently dehumidified (especially with our moisture control programme). This seems highly unlikely to me, since a laundry room generally calls for a dry climate and the recommended target room humidities of the comfort ventilation system are somewhat lower than ours – see below).
Can water softener be dosed in the OptiDos washing machine? How would this work?
It cannot be dosed.
Is it a good idea to install a sound absorber with a wall/island hood or built-in range hood?
Yes, we would definitely recommend installing a sound absorber to reduce the overall noise emissions. In extracted air mode, both the fan noise going outside and the outdoor noise coming inside via the extracted air duct can be reduced. In the case of recirculation mode, the sound absorber is positioned directly on the fan nozzle in the hood flue.Does the DualDry require maintenance?
Apart from the usual cleaning processes, no further maintenance is required.
How do I need to clean the DualDry?
The DualDry is cleaned like an Adora heat pump dryer. This means that the fluff filter should be regularly cleaned and the air inlet flap wiped with a damp cloth. The front insertion can be rinsed under running water.
Why is it so important to clean the dryer's fluff filters on a regular basis?
Blocked fluff filters and filter pads weaken the airflow. This means the laundry takes more time and energy to dry. This is why the fluff filters and filter pads should be cleaned regularly as stated in the operating manual.
How much rope do I need per wash?
40 m of rope per 10 kg of laundry are required.
How high is the laundry hanger installed?
Ideally so that the dry air flow of the DualDry flows directly on the laundry. However, the laundry also dries if the positioning is less ideal. The customer is free to install the hangar as they like. In an apartment building, the washing line is usually at a height of 180 - 190 cm. The washing line should not be lower than the air release flap.
May I use a softener?
Yes. The softener can be used for both drying processes. It is irrelevant whether the laundry is dried in the drum or on a washing line. Deposits of softener on the drum surface are reduced to a minimum by the lower temperatures.
What do I need to know about range hoods using recirculation air?
Compared with the extracted air solution, there is much less to consider for range hoods with recirculation air, particularly if you have chimney-based heating (such as gas, oil or coal-fired heaters, flow heaters, water heaters and open fireplaces). They are easy to install and they can be operated without restrictions if the range hood is used in recirculation mode with an activated charcoal filter. To use recirculation mode, you must provide an activated charcoal filter – the filter absorbs unpleasant odours and ensures there is fresh air in the kitchen while you are cooking.Where can I find the planning information for range hoods?

All models in the V6000 and V4000 series have this technology integrated as standard at no extra cost.Can an existing cooker or oven be replaced with a steamer?
The CombairSteamer fits best in an existing niche (762 mm) for a standard oven or cooker. These appliances combine a complete oven and steaming functions. CombairSteamers offer all the steaming programmes of a steam cooker and the classic functions of an oven – such as hot air, top/bottom heat and grill. If expanding the niche is possible, we recommend the classic combination of a 45 oven and a 45 CombiSteamer, allowing you to benefit from the flexibility of having two cooking spaces.
When is it worthwhile installing an extra-high dishwasher?
An extra-high model offers space for plates with a diameter of 33cm. This means that an extra-high dishwasher makes sense if you want to use it for large plates, tall wine glasses or baking trays.
How exactly does the automatic programme work?
The automatic programme is capable of detecting what your dirty dishes need, thereby reducing the consumption of water, electricity and dishwater salt by up to 30%. The programme also works out how long the washing cycle needs to last. This could be anywhere between 50 and 85 minutes.
Which appliances are available with a BlackDesignMatte surface?
The BlackDesignMatte surface is available for the following appliances: CombiCookTop V2000 (60 cm) - available in BlackDesignMatte and glossy BlackDesign; CookTop V2000 (60 cm and 80 cm) - available in BlackDesignMatte and glossy BlackDesign
Can I use the tumble dryer for highly delicate items?
This is what you've been waiting for. The «ultra care» programme dries your delicate items at 55°C in just 90 minutes. A piece of advice: treat your laundry with even more care by giving it ample space in the washing drum.
Can V-ZUG washing machines help me keep creases out of my laundry?
Our anti-crease programme is yet another highlight of the comprehensive V-ZUG laundry care range. It is designed primarily for blouses, shirts, T-shirts and cotton trousers that are treated for 20 minutes. Put the items on hangers while they are still slightly damp. Iron them lightly if required and they will look as good as new.
What installation considerations are there for the CookTop V6000 FullFlex hob?
When planning and installing the FullFlex hob, ensure that the front cabinetry includes a ventilation slit of at least 2 mm to allow proper hot-air exhaust. Detailed requirements can be found in the planning aid.
What control options does the CookTop V2000 offer?
The CookTop V2000 allows customers to choose between the modern V-ZUG single slider or a unique knob control solution. Both options feature an intuitive, attractive user interface. The control knobs are available in V-ZUG design colours Black, Platinum and Pearl and allow quick, precise adjustment of power levels.
My dishes are still damp when they come out of the dishwasher – what can I do?
- You need to increase the amount of rinse aid in the user settings (ex-works level 4). This will increase the level of rinse agent used in the rinsing process, thereby improving the dryness. - Select the DryPlus user setting on the dishwasher. DryPlus increases the temperature during final rinsing and extends the programme duration.
Is there a very quiet programme?
Specifically designed with night-time usage in mind, the Silent programme emits no noise at all. During the night, the programme can last longer, but needs to be as quiet as possible – which is exactly what the Silent programme offers.
