V‑ZUG know-how: FAQ

Yes, you need a V-ZUG-Home login, or you can use your social login (Google or Apple) to use the app.

The app runs on Android devices from version 13.0 and iOS devices (Apple) from version 17.0.

Access the user settings of the household appliance and select the V-ZUG-Home function. Depending on the appliance, the V-ZUG-Home modus can be found in the settings or consult the V-ZUG-Home manual for appliance specific variations.

You will find the V-ZUG-Home configuration in the user settings of each V-ZUG appliance. From there, you can set the V-ZUG-Home mode, read information and restore the factory settings for V-ZUG-Home.

The following functions can be controlled remotely via the V-ZUG app:

• Stop the current program

• Send recipes and programs to your oven or steamer

• Adjust certain user settings on your household appliance

• Download the app from the Apple App Store (Link) for iOS or Google Play Store (Link) for Android devices and install it on your smartphone or tablet

• Follow the instruction of the onboarding in the app

• Create or login with your V-ZUG-Home account or use your social logins

Yes, an internet connection is required for full utilisation of V-ZUG-Home and the V-ZUG app.

To display your V-ZUG appliance, activate V-ZUG-Home in the user settings of your household appliance. Next, download the V-ZUG app on your smartphone or tablet, register or login with your V-ZUG-Home account or social login and connect your appliance in the app.

Please ensure the following conditions are met:

• Ensure the router is switched on and that the smartphone/tablet can access the home network. Check if the WLAN symbol is visible on the smartphone/tablet.

• Is V-ZUG-Home activated on the household appliance?

• Has the V-ZUG app been downloaded?

• Can the app detect the household appliance?

• Is the smartphone/tablet connected to the WLAN (home network)?

• Is Bluetooth activated on the smartphone/tablet?

• Is 'Location' enabled?

• Has the PIN been entered correctly (6 digits)?

• Is the correct WLAN displayed? If not, the device may have poor WiFi reception.

• Has the WLAN password been entered correctly?

The 2.4 GHz WLAN penetrates walls and floors better than the 5 GHz WLAN can. V-ZUG therefore uses 2.4 GHz WLAN to ensure an optimum connection to your appliances.

There may be various reasons for this:

• For security reasons, specific functionality may only be used on the appliance.

• The functionality has not yet been implemented and will be added in a future version.

• For other technical reasons that make it more user friendly to keep the functionality on the appliance.

Many appliances built from 2015 onwards can be connected to the V-ZUG app. However, you can enter your serial number and add your appliance offline in order to register your warranty or view the manual.

V-ZUG-Home mode is deactivated.

Remote access has been extensively tested and works for all devices that are equipped with it. If problems occur, check whether it is possible to update the appliances software. Local conditions can also make the connection more difficult, such as the location of the appliance.

An extra-high model offers space for plates with a diameter of 33cm. This means that an extra-high dishwasher makes sense if you want to use it for large plates, tall wine glasses or baking trays.

The water hardness controller ensures that the water always has the ideal hardness. This makes the detergent more effective and ensures that the dishes and glasses are treated gently.

We recommend only using durgol swiss steamer for descaling.  Standard descaling solutions are not suitable as they may contain foam-creating additives or not be effective enough. Using a different descaler could cause overfoaming, inadequate descaling or, in extreme cases, damage to the appliance.

Bread, rolls and plaited loaves can be achieved at the push of a button using the professional baking application, delivering bakery-level quality. The application provides support right from the process of the dough rising and creates the perfect environment for making the dough ready to bake in the shortest possible time. The combination of hot air and steam keeps the food from drying out while baking and achieves a golden-brown surface. It allows puff pastry dishes to achieve a highly aerated finish.

Applying steam makes the textile fibres smooth, causing creases to unfold. Clothing is smoothed out using a combination of its own weight and a gentle stream of air.

Although the DualDry has time-controlled programmes, they do not need to be used to switch off the appliance automatically. An integrated humidity sensor measures the level of dryness reached and automatically deactivates the DualDry if the desired degree has been reached.

The additional hygiene programme eliminates germs using an elevated temperature (above 60 °C) over a longer exposure time. Independent laboratory trials have confirmed a reduction in germs of up to 99.99 %.

The CombairSteamer fits best in an existing niche (762 mm) for a standard oven or cooker. These appliances combine a complete oven and steaming functions. CombairSteamers offer all the steaming programmes of a steam cooker and the classic functions of an oven – such as hot air, top/bottom heat and grill. If expanding the niche is possible, we recommend the classic combination of a 45 oven and a 45 CombiSteamer, allowing you to benefit from the flexibility of having two cooking chambers.

The water tank holds one litre of water, which is sufficient for different steaming periods and is dependent on the temperature and the nature of the food. With Vacuisine, it is possible to reach over 48 hours of cooking time without having to refill the water tank. The water tanks in the Excellence Line can be cleaned in a dishwasher.

The RefreshButler actually eliminates odorous substances, thereby removing odours with a lasting effect. Other appliances simply mask odorous substances with perfume or odour-masking scents during the refresh programme.

Recurring cycles of steam and special photocatalysis technology remove 99.99 % of germs and bacteria from clothing.

We recommend filling the fresh water tank at the start of each programme and emptying both tanks at the end of each programme.The appliance automatically detects and notifies you when the condensation tank is full or the fresh water tank is empty.

This is what you've been waiting for. The «ultra care» programme dries your delicate items at 55°C in just 90 minutes. A piece of advice: treat your laundry with even more care by giving it ample space in the washing drum.

The «WetClean» programme is ideal for that purpose. It takes just five minutes to breathe new life into your woollens. Your woolly jumpers and similar garments will feel much softer and fluffier on your skin - no more scratchiness or skin irritation.

Foods with skins or shells, such as potatoes, tomatoes, sausages, and shellfish, should be pricked with a fork before cooking. Eggs should be beaten or scrambled, and for fried eggs, the yolk should be pricked to prevent bursting.

The new control knobs offer intuitive, accessible operation with improved haptic and optional acoustic feedback. Supported by VisionAssist, they enable precise and simple control. Their traditional interaction appeals to many users, and they are available in Black, Platinum, and Pearl for flexible kitchen design integration.

The BlackDesignMatte surface is available for the following appliances: CombiCookTop V2000 (60 cm) - available in BlackDesignMatte and glossy BlackDesign; CookTop V2000 (60 cm and 80 cm) - available in BlackDesignMatte and glossy BlackDesign

You select a main programme with the press of a single button. This means all the required settings are automatically chosen. If desired, select additional functions by pressing the corresponding buttons. If no button is pressed within 20 seconds, the programme selected will start automatically.

When planning and installing the FullFlex hob, ensure that the front cabinetry includes a ventilation slit of at least 2 mm to allow proper hot-air exhaust. Detailed requirements can be found in the planning aid.

The CookTop V2000 allows customers to choose between the modern V-ZUG single slider or a unique knob control solution. Both options feature an intuitive, attractive user interface. The control knobs are available in V-ZUG design colours Black, Platinum and Pearl and allow quick, precise adjustment of power levels.

All our latest washing machines (Adora) and tumble dryers (Adora) are available with the door hinges on the right-hand or left-hand side. This means you can choose the most suitable version for your circumstances.

Certain hobs have a lateral warming zone with temperature monitoring. Induction hobs offer a warming function for the different cooking zones.

The FreshControl Zone provides the optimum conditions for storing meat, fish, poultry and sausages for longer at temperatures around freezing point, meaning you can enjoy fresh food without having to go out shopping every day. Often referred to as the 0-degree zone, the FreshControl Zone is perfect for this when humidity is low.

The break-proof glass shelves are height-adjustable, which means you can make space for larger items in your fridge. Some models have perfected the art of space saving: they feature divided shelves whose front half can be pushed towards the back of the fridge to free space for tall items on the bottom shelf.

The 0°C zone (at high humidity) provides the ideal climate to double the storage time of fresh vegetables, salad and herbs.

In addition to the quality of the beans and the blend, the correct grinding technique is especially important: the more evenly the coffee is ground and dosed, the better the end result. This is where the CoffeeCenter V6000 45 comes in with its innovative new cone grinder that conjures up an aroma intensity unlike anything you have ever experienced before. The perfect temperature and pressure during the brewing process are also crucial when it comes to how the coffee will taste. From ristretto, espresso, espresso macchiato, doppio, cappuccino, flat white, caffè latte and latte macchiato to the latest trends like long coffee, the CoffeeCenter V6000 45 provides the perfectly brewed cup of coffee to suit anyone’s tastes. The integrated milk frother automatically prepares three different levels of froth, depending on whether you are making cappuccino, latte macchiato or caffè latte. The heated milk container is double-walled and keeps the milk fresh for a long time.

We recommend checking the dosage setting of the selected OptiDos dispenser and, if necessary, adjusting it in accordance with the currently used agent. Here, we recommend the quantity stated by the manufacturer for 4–5 kg of laundry. The water hardness set may also need to be checked or a powder-based wool detergent (contains bleach) used.

Yes. Thanks to the intuitive, simple programme selection, it is possible to choose whether or not OptiDos should be used for the wash after every programme selection. When selecting “without OptiDos”, the detergent is taken from the right detergent dispenser drawer as usual.

By pulling out the OptiDos drawer, the load capacity for both dispensers is shown on the touch display and whether or not there is sufficient detergent. If the filing level is low, a notification will automatically appear on the display after the wash (without pulling out the detergent dispenser drawer).

As standard, we recommend entering the dosing volume of the detergent manufacturer for 4–5 kg of laundry, medium soiling and the local water hardness in the machine. In most cases, the recommended dosing volume of the manufacturer can be found in a table on the rear of the packaging.

Some of our refrigerators feature three different temperature zones. In addition to the freezer compartment and the main refrigerator compartment, the Magnum 2 60i and Cooltronic 60i eco refrigerators, for example, also offer a cold storage compartment with infinitely variable humidity control (0-degree zone), in which food stays fresh up to three times longer. The Noblesse 60i eco and the DeLuxe 60i both feature a bottom compartment complete with bottle drawer (8–12°C) in which food that is sensitive to the cold (such as potatoes) can be stored at a mild temperature and drinks can be kept at a pleasant drinking temperature. These different temperature zones offer the greatest possible flexibility.

Minimise your energy consumption and costs by defrosting your refrigerator regularly, positioning it in a cool place, not on the balcony, letting warm food cool down before placing it in the fridge and tightly covering liquids such as sauces.

The anti-mite programme eradicates mites and allergens – importantly, that includes house dust mite excretions, which are linked to respiratory problems. These unwelcome house guests are incredibly resilient, but they are completely wiped out by the anti-mite programme found in AdoraWash and Unimatic product lines. The results are so good that even technical institutes are sharing them.

Yes, there are –  the 40 °C and 60 °C Sprint programmes. Both of these are able to run with very little water and are gentle on your washing.

A heating element behind the hot air diffuser plate heats up the air inside the cooking chamber, which is circulated evenly. The feature is suitable for cakes, biscuits, bread and roasted meat on two levels. Set the temperature approx. 20 °C lower than for top/bottom heat.

The AdoraWash and AdorinaWash product ranges are ideal for family homes or flats, while the Unimatic range is designed for communal laundry rooms and small businesses.
