V‑ZUG know-how: FAQ

- You need to increase the amount of rinse aid in the user settings (factory-set to level 4). This will increase the level of rinse agent used in the rinsing process, thereby improving the dryness. - Select the DryPlus user setting on the dishwasher. DryPlus increases the temperature during final rinsing and extends the program duration.

Extremely fast programs are offered at each convenience level. These programs last between 11 and 30 minutes depending on the convenience level.

Room air laundry drying takes more time, as the laundry is streamed less efficiently with air and the temperatures during this process are also lower than when drying in the drum. Other factors that slow down the drying process: A lot of laundry in a small room, very damp laundry (of small spinning speed), open doors or windows, humidity that additionally enters the room, clogged front filter mat, items that prevent the release of air, soiled or faulty humidity sensor.

Both OptiDos dispensers can each be filled with 1.2 l of liquid detergent or softener. OptiDos calculates the optimum dosing volume according to the selected program and the laundry volume in the drum. No excessive or insufficient dosage ever again!Examples: Slightly soiled laundry, at medium water hardness: manufacturer’s dosing recommendation is 60 ml. This means that you can wash up to 20 times without refilling. Normally soiled laundry, at soft water hardness: manufacturer’s dosing recommendation is 95 ml. Here, up to 12 washes can be done without refilling (the number of washes depends on the dosing recommendation of the detergent, the laundry volume in the drum, water hardness, degree of soiling).

The anti-mite program eradicates mites and allergens – importantly, that includes house dust mite excretions, which are linked to respiratory problems. These unwelcome house guests are incredibly resilient, but they are completely wiped out by the anti-mite program found in AdoraWash and Unimatic product lines. The results are so good that even technical institutes are sharing them.

Yes, there are – the 40°C and 60°C Sprint programs. Both of these are able to run with very little water and are gentle on your washing.

The V-ZUG Special Care Drum has 14,000 holes to protect delicate fabrics and prevent wear and tear from friction during the washing process.

The steam anti-crease additional program can be selected with a large number of washing programs. The integrated heating function gently treats shirts, blouses, skirts and other items with steam generated at the end of the wash cycle.  This makes ironing faster and more convenient – and sometimes even removes the need for it altogether.

The innovative DialogSystem takes care of this. The washing machine communicates information on the amount and type of laundry, spinning speed, the selected wash program etc. to the tumble dryer. Based on this data, the dryer selects the ideal drying program and determines its precise duration, ensuring that your laundry is not damaged by the wrong choice of drying program.

All woollens labelled as washable can be dried in the tumble dryer. The appliance uses a gentle drying process with adapted drum action and a low temperature (approximately 45°C).

You select a main programme with the press of a single button. This means all the required settings are automatically chosen. If desired, select additional functions by pressing the corresponding buttons. If no button is pressed within 20 seconds, the programme selected will start automatically.

Indeed, thorough spinning reduces the time and energy required to dry your laundry. Creases caused during spinning will be largely flattened out in the tumble dryer.

It is unlikely that the combination of “comfort ventilation (target humidity: 30–50%) and DualDry (target humidity: 50–60%)” would cause problems.

There are refrigerators with or without an internal freezer compartment, pure freezers, refrigerator/freezer combinations, and wine coolers. Under-counter refrigerators are fitted underneath worktops in studio apartments or small flats. Conventional refrigerators are integrated into tall cupboards. These are available as fully integrated versions and also in White or Nero. The real colossus of the refrigerator world comes in the form of the FoodCenter, whose features even include an ice maker for ice cubes, crushed ice or iced water, in addition to a gigantic refrigerator compartment. Fish pans can be used without difficulty on any cooktop featuring a frying zone.

Yes, the drum lighting can be replaced.

Due to the heat pump, it is not possible to implement it in the AdoraWash V6000 due to a lack of space.

It cannot be dosed.

Make sure the cooking zones are generously spaced so the pans don’t touch. We would recommend a cooktop with cooking zones in a V- or A-shaped alignment. You might also consider a panorama cooktop, where the cooking zones are positioned in a single line for easy access.

Induction cooktops are impressively fast. They react quickly and are finely adjustable, which means liquids will rarely boil over, if ever. As the heat is generated in the base of the pan only, the glass around the cooking zone is hardly warmed up at all. Therefore spilt food won’t burn and the cooktop can be cleaned easily with a damp cloth.

An automatic built-in coffee machine that is built into the kitchen front not only makes for an aesthetically pleasing solution that looks the part, but it also frees up worktop space. The CoffeeCenter V6000 45 in the new Excellence Line design is built into tall cabinets, allowing it to blend in seamlessly with other thermal appliances in this new generation.

In addition to the quality of the beans and the blend, the correct grinding technique is especially important: the more evenly the coffee is ground and dosed, the better the end result. The integrated milk frother automatically prepares three different levels of froth, depending on whether you are making cappuccino, latte macchiato or caffè latte. The heated milk container is double-walled and keeps the milk fresh for a long time.

The nozzle produces hot water for tea and other hot drinks. It also lets you conveniently froth cold milk for a delicious cappuccino or hot chocolate.

Ovens with pyrolytic features practically clean themselves: Dirt is converted into ash by the special pyrolytic self-cleaning program, which heats the cooking chamber to extremely high temperatures. The ash can then be wiped away with a damp cloth. Pyrolytic self-cleaning is available as an option in all appliances in convenience level V4000 or above.

In room air laundry drying mode: Extra dry, Standard dry, Iron dry, Damp, Timed drying (up to 3 hours), Moisture control programme.

NoFrost technology means you'll never have to manually defrost your fridge again. All of our FoodCenter models are fitted with NoFrost technology, which means they defrost automatically at regular intervals.

An optimal drying result is reached at a room temperature of 10-30°C. In rooms with very low temperatures, the function may be restricted. The DualDry may not be used under 8°C.

Minimise your energy consumption and costs by defrosting your refrigerator regularly, positioning it in a cool place, not on the balcony, letting warm food cool down before placing it in the fridge and tightly covering liquids such as sauces.

The use of softeners can result in a slightly longer drying process, but there are no studies that confirm this assumption.

The more the range hood covers the cooktop, the better the extraction performance. This is why flat pull-out deflector plates perform very well. For wall and island hoods, you should make sure that the majority of the cooktop is well covered.

There are different solutions to suit you – whether you want your range hood to be an eye-catching design feature or for it to be discreetly integrated into your kitchen. On the wall If you want to make your range hood stand out, then a wall hood is a great choice. Wall hoods are also available as slanted versions which provide ample headroom. They are installed on the wall directly above the cooktop. Integrated into the kitchen units If you would rather incorporate the hood into the kitchen so that it is virtually invisible, then we recommend a built-in range hood with a glass canopy, a flat-panel range hood or an integrated range hood. These are perfect for kitchens in which you need to make clever use of the space. On the ceiling Range hoods designed for ceiling installation are the perfect solution in open-plan kitchens that feature a free-standing cooking island. Downdraft or in the cooktop itself Without long detours, cooking vapours are whisked away at the very place where they first develop – on the cooktop itself. Our integrated cooktop hood, the pull-out downdraft and the induction cooktop with integrated range hood offer increased headroom and extract the vapours downwards.

The level of noise emitted by a range hood depends on the model and extracted air system chosen. In the case of extracted air range hoods, the following rule applies: the smaller the diameter of the exhaust duct, the louder the appliance. As a result, we recommend using a pipe diameter of 150 mm in extracted air mode.

The material is a flame-retardant plastic blend, which is self-extinguishing with a V0 classification as per the UL94 standard.

Steam and odours rise at a maximum rate of one metre per second. The V-ZUG cooktop hood or cooktop with integrated range hood extracts the air using a cross current that is higher than the rising speed of the cooking vapour. As a result, cooking vapours and odours can be effectively extracted straight away at the cooktop.

If possible, you should make sure that the duct diameter is at least 125 mm and ideally 150 mm. If there is no room for a round pipe, a flat channel with an equivalent cross section may also be used. The use of 90° pipe bends should be kept to a minimum. Narrowing cross sections and reducing pipes with a smooth inner surface should also be avoided. We recommend using short piping lengths, wall boxes with large slats and sufficient replacement air.

Cooktops and range hoods that feature the OptiLink function communicate with each other via Bluetooth. The fan level automatically adjusts to the current cooking level and switches off automatically when the cooktop is switched off – so you can focus all your attention on cooking without having to think about operating the range hood. All models in the V6000 and V4000 series have this technology integrated as standard at no extra cost.

Not suitable for microwave use are cast iron pots, pans, sheet pans, aluminium foil, tin cans, cake trays, dishes with gold rims or metal decorations, and food thermometers.

This enables you to select your favourite cooking program by pushing a single button. Save the settings for your favourite program, such as heating a mug of milk in the morning, and all you have to do is put the milk in the microwave and push the button.

With certain foods such as potatoes or tomatoes, make sure you puncture the peel several times so the steam building up inside them can escape. Also, you should cover your food with wrapping film or a lid. Puncture the film lightly before cooking. Certain foods such as vegetables require you to stir them a few times or add some water during cooking.

With a heat pump tumble dryer, the drying takes place in a closed drum. The laundry is added to the drum and dried with the temperature of 55°C released by the integrated cooling circuit. With DualDry, the laundry is hung up on a washing line in the room. The DualDry blows dry air into the laundry items. They release the humidity into the room air. The humid room air is channelled via the evaporator installed in the DualDry. In doing so, the vapour in the air condensates on the cold evaporator surface. The dried and cooled air is then warmed up via the condenser and blown into the hanging laundry. DualDry uses the same heat pump to dehumidify the room air. However, the drying takes place at far lower temperatures.

Yes. Powder detergent, tabs, laundry bleach or comparable bleaches must not be filled in the containers.

The following liquid detergents can be added to each dispenser: Universal detergent, colour detergent, fine detergent, softener, wool detergent, baby detergent, detergent for black clothes, detergent for white clothes, outdoor detergent. The dispensers can be flexibly filled according to personal requirements. Both dispensers with detergent, both dispensers with softener, one dispenser of detergent and one dispenser of softener, only one dispenser used with detergent or softener. The dispensers are also easily emptied if necessary and filled with another agent.

This is what you've been waiting for. The «ultra care» programme dries your delicate items at 55°C in just 90 minutes. A piece of advice: treat your laundry with even more care by giving it ample space in the washing drum.

The delayed start function makes it easy to take advantage of low night electricity rates. What’s more, the appliance remembers the time it was set to on the previous occasion, and with a mere 42dB(A), our dishwashers know how to keep their noise down. You won’t hear a thing.

The “Upper rack only”’ function makes a ZUG dishwasher even more flexible and will save 2.6 litres of water, depending on the wash program.

Yes, absolutely. For optimum cleaning and drying results, we always recommend adding rinse aid to the dishwasher. The amount of rinse aid in the tabs is not sufficient to achieve optimum drying results.

You can use the delayed start function to set your electricity provider’s off-peak rate times up to 24 hours in advance and use the machine during those times. The current range of AdoraWash washing machines also features the intelligent OptiTime delayed start function. If you use OptiTime at night, for example, and combine it with off-peak electricity rates, you can make energy savings of up to 63% per wash cycle.
