My dishes are still not clean when they come out of the dishwasher – what can I do?
There are a number of reasons for unsatisfactory cleaning results. The most common are listed below: - Too many dishes are packed too closely together in the dishwasher, preventing the water jets from the spray nozzles from reaching every part of the dishes and resulting in spray shadows. Spray shadows are surfaces on dishes that have been missed by the water jet and are therefore not cleaned. - The dishwasher's spray arms are blocked, meaning that the water spray pressure is too low for proper cleaning. In this case, you can simply remove the spray arms (see the operating instructions) and clean the nozzles under the tap. - Select the RinsePlus user setting on the dishwasher. RinsePlus increases the amount of water and extends the program duration.

Why is it important to have a selectable temperature range?
A freely selectable temperature range between 30°C and 100°C allows for complete freedom while cooking. After all, a delicious caramel flan will only be the perfect consistency if it is steamed at exactly 90°C. Fish is best poached at 80°C and, if you want to make your own yoghurt, 40°C is the temperature you need. Precise temperature settings are also essential for the Vacuisine function, which allows for slow cooking at low temperatures (lower than 100°C) in vacuum-sealed pouches. Professional chefs call this method of cooking “sous vide”.
What is the best way of stowing large or unwieldy cutlery?

The cooking chamber is heated simultaneously by steam and hot air. The food is heated up or cooked by steaming. To keep cleaning to a minimum, it is best to slide the stainless steel tray under the perforated cooking tray and collect the small amount of residual water in it.
I would like to use dishwasher tabs. Is there anything in particular that I need to consider?
All-in-one tabs consist of pressed amounts of powder/rinse agent and salt. Because the substances are pressed, they cannot dissolve quickly enough to achieve their full cleaning effect when used in fast programs. The amounts of rinse aid and salt are also not enough to achieve the best possible cleaning result. This is why it is essential to add additional salt and rinse aid to the dishwasher! V-ZUG’s dishwashers are equipped with the All in 1 function, which can be used with tabs of any kind. You can activate this function for any V-ZUG dishwasher via the user settings. With this function, the dishwasher automatically extends the program duration by a maximum of 10 minutes for very short programs, and extends the final drying time by a maximum of 15 minutes. This enables the tabs to dissolve and achieve their full cleaning effect. The All in 1 function also automatically adjusts the use of salt and rinse aid, reducing it by 50%, and guarantees excellent cleaning and drying results every time.

Is it normal for tumble dryers to generate fluff?
Fluff consists of fine threads produced by friction during the manufacturing, wearing and washing of textiles. This does not mean that the appliance puts an excessive strain on your laundry. Even with laundry dried on a line, fluff can be observed when you shake or iron it. While the laundry is wet, fluff clings to it. In the tumble dryer, the fluff is separated from the textiles and caught by the fluff filter in the door. The amount of fluff depends on the type of laundry, but finding some fluff in the filter after drying is quite normal.
Do I still need to add salt to the dishwasher if I am using all-in-one tabs?
Yes, absolutely! The salt is needed to regenerate the dishwasher's integrated softening unit. The softening unit descales the water that flows through the dishwasher. If the water is not descaled, limescale builds up on the integrated components in the dishwasher. The all-in-one tabs only soften the water which enters the dishwasher when a program is selected. This is only partly effective, as each tab contains only a limited amount of salt.
Do I still need to add a rinse aid to the dishwasher if I am using all-in-one tabs?
Yes, absolutely. For optimum cleaning and drying results, we always recommend adding rinse aid to the dishwasher. The amount of rinse aid in the tabs is not sufficient to achieve optimum drying results.

According to the standard, combined appliances with microwave ovens are not allowed to have energy labels. We have been reprimanded by the European Standards Committee regarding the MSLQ. Like any domestic appliance, induction cooktops generate an electromagnetic field. However, the field is many times less powerful than that generated by an electric razor, a hair dryer or a power drill. To find out more, visit www.fea.ch, the website of the Swiss Association of the Domestic Electrical Appliances Industry.

What actions can I take to prevent undesirable odours?
To make sure the range hood works as effectively as possible, switch it on three to five minutes before you start cooking. This allows an air flow to be established in the room so that vapours and odours can be conducted away quickly. To prevent the build-up of negative pressure and to support the extraction of cooking odours, fresh air must be supplied at the same time. As a result, the following rules apply: always open a window when using air extraction systems. Once you have finished cooking, keep the fan running for another five to ten minutes. Many range hoods have an automatic run-on function for this purpose. In particular, frying pans should be left under the range hood if they are still hot because they can still disperse odours even after you have finished cooking.
What is the automatic run-on function?
Hoods with the automatic run-on function extract the remaining cooking vapours from the room for a specific time period (between 5 and 20 minutes) even after you have finished cooking and switched off the range hood. After that point, the range hood is switched off automatically. If the appliance is being used in recirculation mode, the activated charcoal filter can also carry out final drying of the furniture base – just like in range hoods that remove vapours by extracting them downwards (downdraft systems). This useful function is integrated into various range hoods and downdraft systems, and is activated by tapping the clock button shown at the end of the cooking process.
How long will the LED lights last in my range hood?
Since 2019, all our range hoods have been equipped exclusively with energy-saving LED lights. LEDs have energy-efficient properties plus a long service life.
What should I bear in mind when planning and installing an exhaust duct?
The exhaust duct should be as short as possible and have as few bends and curves as possible. Ideally, it should have a diameter of 150 mm. Each additional metre added to the exhaust duct and each additional bend will create resistance, reducing the power of the range hood. A more powerful range hood cannot compensate for a poorly designed exhaust duct. This will only result in increased losses and noise levels. Reducing the diameter of the exhaust duct should be avoided where possible – due to the increased flow rate, this will also lead to increased noise levels.
