V‑ZUG Warranty

V‑ZUG Company Warranty  You receive a two-year warranty on every V‑ZUG product purchased from and invoiced by V‑ZUG Australia Pty Ltd. (“V‑ZUG”). You receive a two-year manufacturer's warranty plus a three-year extended warranty on every V‑ZUG product purchased from Winning Appliances on or after 1 February 2020 and before 31 October 2021. You receive a two-year manufacturer's warranty plus an eight-year extended warranty on every V‑ZUG product purchased from Winning Appliances on or after 1 November 2021.In addition to these company warranties, you have a warranty under the Australian Consumer Law. The following is a statutory notice about those statutory rights:

Our goods come with warranties that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure

When does the company warranty commence? The company warranty provided by V‑ZUG on its products commences on the date of installation. Unless you can demonstrate with reasonably acceptable documentation (such as an electrician’s certificate of installation) the date your appliance was installed, the date of installation is deemed to be the date of purchase. Unless V‑ZUG receives your claim under the company guarantee by the end of the expiration of the company warranty (namely, within 10 years of the installation of any appliance bought from Winnings on or after 1 November 2021), the company guarantee expires and you lose those rights to have your appliance repaired or replaced. You nevertheless still have your remaining rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

What is covered? The company warranty covers material and manufacturing defects. During the warranty period, any such defects will be remedied without charge. It includes the costs of labour and travel as well as replacement materials. V‑ZUG, at its sole discretion, may elect to either repair or replace the product with an equivalent product or refund the purchase price. Any other claims are excluded.

Where is the warranty valid? The warranty is only valid in the country in which the appliance was purchased and provided either V‑ZUG itself or a service provider authorized by V‑ZUG provides services in the country concerned. If appliances are shipped to other countries, the technical conditions (e.g. mains voltage, frequency, etc.) or the climatic and environmental conditions of the country concerned may cause problems. We therefore reserve the right to refuse the warranty for appliances that are not approved for the country concerned.

What is excluded? The company warranty does not cover damage occurring after manufacture, such as transport damage, damage caused by handling or installing the appliance contrary to the specifications, improper use, misuse, inadequate care, natural usage, external influences, force majeure and reasons beyond the control of V‑ZUG.   Any work carried out by a service provider not authorized by V‑ZUG as well as the use of spare parts other than the original V‑ZUG spare parts void the obligations under the warranty.   The contractual or legal claims against the product seller are not affected by this warranty. The non-use or sparing use of the appliance does not justify a claim to warranty extension.

Provider of the warranty  The warranty is provided by V‑ZUG Australia Pty Ltd ABN 136 397 889, 2/796 High Street, Kew, Victoria 3102 (“V‑ZUG”).    The person responsible for the company warranty may be contacted on the following communication channels:  Service Hotline - V‑ZUG Australia Pty Ltd, T: +61 1300 898 428.

What you need to do to claim the company warranty  To make a claim, you must have purchased your V‑ZUG appliance from Winning Appliances on or after 1 February 2020 or directly from V‑ZUG.   You must contact V‑ZUG using one of the provided contact channels mentioned above, explaining the nature of the problem you are experiencing with your V‑ZUG appliance. You may be asked for additional information about the issue and you will need to provide that information on request.    Finally, you will need to provide proof of purchase and, preferably, proof of installation. Your receipt from Winning Appliances or from V‑ZUG is perfect. As to installation, a Certificate of Installation provided by your builder or electrician will be acceptable. The company warranty is conditional on you providing these documents, establishing to V‑ZUG’s reasonable satisfaction that you bought the appliance and had it installed.    Finally, you must provide the repairer access to the appliance and all reasonable assistance and co-operation when requested by V‑ZUG or by the repairer.
