A new neighbourhood. A shared vision. A lasting partnership.
The situation
Between 2024 and 2027, the La Suettaz neighbourhood in Nyon is being transformed from two ageing residential blocks into four modern buildings surrounding green courtyards. Developed by the Société Coopérative d'Habitation Lausanne (SCHL) and Logement Social Romand (LSR), the project focuses on sustainability, quality of life, and soft mobility.
The new development will offer 282 apartments (45 by SCHL and 237 by LSR), ranging from 1 to 5.5 rooms, with affordable, moderate, and market-rate rents primarily for Nyon residents. The buildings meet the Minergie P2 certification and comply with SIA Standard 500. Apartments are being delivered in phases, with completion scheduled for the end of 2027.
The project involved three key challenges: relocating around 100 families with care, coordinating demolition and construction, and minimizing disruption for residents living next to the building site.
The V-ZUG solution
From the outset, both developers wanted modern, sustainable, and ergonomic household appliances made in Switzerland. V-ZUG delivered a tailored kitchen solution that met the project's environmental and functional requirements.
The collaboration reflects V-ZUG's partnership approach: listening to customer needs, providing expert guidance, and delivering long-term solutions. From planning to final handover, V-ZUG supported both developers throughout the project.
