Do fluff filters need to be cleaned?
The appliance has one fluff filter and two filter mats. Since the gentle stream of air and extremely gentle treatment only remove a small amount of fluff from the fabric, the fluff filter only needs to be emptied occasionally. The appliance automatically detects when the fluff filter is heavily clogged. A notification appears in the display when the fluff filter needs cleaning.
How are creases reduced?
Applying steam makes the textile fibres smooth, causing creases to unfold. Clothing is smoothed out using a combination of its own weight and a gentle stream of air.
How effectively are creases removed?
The extent to which creases are removed very much depends on the type of fabric, as the fibre types all behave differently. Creases in textiles made from cotton and polyester fabric blends or wool, for instance, can be removed significantly more effectively than those in textiles made from linen, cotton or silk. A superior crease removal effect can also be achieved with cotton shirts labelled as "anti-crease" or "easy-care".
How are textiles sanitised?
The additional hygiene programme eliminates germs using an elevated temperature (above 60 °C) over a longer exposure time. Independent laboratory trials have confirmed a reduction in germs of up to 99.99 %.
How does the refresh programme work and how does it remove unpleasant odours?
The refresh programme draws out and then eliminates odours from textiles using a combination of an elevated temperature and steam.
Is there a very quiet programme?
Specifically designed with night-time usage in mind, the Silent programme emits no noise at all. During the night, the programme can last longer, but needs to be as quiet as possible – which is exactly what the Silent programme offers.
Do dishwashers also have sprint programmes?
Extremely fast programmes are offered at each convenience level. These programmes last between 11 and 30 minutes depending on the convenience level.
What do I need to consider when using a sprint programme?
Sprint programmes are suitable for lightly soiled pre-dinner or coffee dishes. Sprint programmes are not suitable for normally or heavily soiled plates/pans and other items. If you use tabs, we recommend that you select the All in 1 function in the user settings. The All in 1 function extends very fast programmes, meaning that the tabs are able to dissolve and achieve their full cleaning effect.
Does the dishwasher have load detection?
The dishwasher uses sophisticated technology to measure the amount of water which is drained from the dishwasher before flowing back into the water cycle via the drum floor. If little water flows back, the dishwasher recognises that it has a full load. The opposite happens when the dishwasher only has a light load. In this case, a large amount of water flows back into the system and the amount of water is adjusted automatically. This enables the dishwasher to save up to 1.5 litres of water for each main programme selected.
Can I wash my drinking and wine glasses together with other crockery and cookware?
When buying glasses, please check to make sure that they are dishwasher-safe. Also note the information provided by the manufacturer of the glasses or ask the sales personnel. Glasses that are marked as dishwasher-safe can be washed with other crockery in the dishwasher without further thought. Higher temperatures are not a problem for such glasses, as they are manufactured to high standards of quality. As part of the daily use of your glasses, we recommend washing them along with your other crockery and cookware using the automatic programme.
Can you install an extra-high dishwasher under any circumstances?
Theoretically yes. Please discuss this option with your specialist dealer.
How much laundry can be dried?
The nominal load is 1–7 kg for the drying process in the machine. If room air laundry drying is applied, a maximum room size of 25 m² is recommended. The room air laundry dryer has a drying capacity of 1.34 kg/h, which corresponds to about 5 hours for a full laundry load of 7 kg.
Should I choose a vented dryer or a condenser dryer?
It depends: for a vented dryer, you'll need to install an air duct leading outside from where you intend to place the dryer.
When does it make sense to use washing powder?
Primarily for white laundry. Because only washing powder contains bleach and can therefore better remove stains from fruit, coffee, tea, etc.
What if too much foam forms during the wash?
We recommend checking the dosage setting of the selected OptiDos dispenser and, if necessary, adjusting it in accordance with the currently used agent. Here, we recommend the quantity stated by the manufacturer for 4–5 kg of laundry.
Are additional accessories required to use OptiDos?
No. Both detergent dispensers are supplied with the washing machine and can be immediately filled with the desired liquid agents or softeners.
I want to make use of times with low electricity rates. Can I set the dishwasher to run during the night?
The delayed start function makes it easy to take advantage of low night electricity rates. What's more, the appliance remembers the time it was set to on the previous occasion, and with a mere 42dB(A), our dishwashers know how to keep their noise down. You won't hear a thing.
I don’t always have enough dirty dishes to load the dishwasher completely. What would you recommend?
Part load – the programme adapts to smaller loads. Far less water is consumed, with a saving of between 1 and 6 litres. The programme runtime is reduced by up to 30 minutes.
Can V-ZUG washing machines help me keep creases out of my laundry?
Our anti-crease programme is yet another highlight of the comprehensive V-ZUG laundry care range. It is designed primarily for blouses, shirts, T-shirts and cotton trousers that are treated for 20 minutes. Put the items on hangers while they are still slightly damp. Iron them lightly if required and they will look as good as new.
How much water is used in a dishwasher during a wash cycle compared to a hand wash?
When washing items by hand, around 40 litres of water must be heated up. With V-ZUG's best appliances, this figure is reduced by almost 90 %, with the Adora SL requiring just 5 litres of water.
How much water does a dishwasher consume compared to doing the dishes by hand?
A dishwasher is such a valuable domestic helper that you can hardly imagine life without it. In recent years, dishwasher's water and energy consumption has been significantly reduced. This means that having an appliance clean the dishes is no longer just a time saver. Today, it is also much more economical and better for the environment than doing the dishes by hand. To clean the amount of dishes a ZUG Adora tackles in a single wash cycle, you would consume up to 40 litres of water, while the Adora manages with just 12.
Do I still need to add salt to the dishwasher if I am using all-in-1 tabs?
Yes, absolutely! The salt is needed to regenerate the dishwasher's integrated softening unit. The softening unit descales the water that flows through the dishwasher. If the water is not descaled, limescale builds up on the integrated components in the dishwasher. The all-in-1 tabs only soften the water which enters the dishwasher when a programme is selected. This is only partly effective, as each tab contains only a limited amount of salt.
How do I link up my appliance?
Detailed information is available online: https://home.vzug.com/en/
Do I still need to add a rinse aid to the dishwasher if I am using all-in-1 tabs?
Yes, absolutely. For optimum cleaning and drying results, we always recommend adding rinse aid to the dishwasher. The amount of rinse aid in the tabs is not sufficient to achieve optimum drying results.
What after-sales services does V-ZUG offer its customers?
When you buy one of our quality appliances, we give you a complimentary demonstration at your home to ensure you make the most of all that our machines have to offer. Our website at www.zugplus.ch is regularly updated with seasonal recipe suggestions for our steamers and for the Microbraun SL. And if you have any cooking-related questions, our cookery hotline is there to help.
Can powder-based detergents be used with OptiDos?
No, the two tanks are only for liquid detergent. However, washing with powder is still possible with the AdoraWash V4000 OptiDos, at any time and without technical modification.
Why are grease stains or other stains left on the washed laundry?
We recommend checking the dosage setting of the selected OptiDos dispenser and, if necessary, adjusting it in accordance with the currently used agent. Here, we recommend the quantity stated by the manufacturer for 4–5 kg of laundry. The water hardness set may also need to be checked or a powder-based wool detergent (contains bleach) used.
Is it normal for tumble dryers to generate fluff?
Fluff consists of fine threads produced by friction during the manufacturing, wearing and washing of textiles. This does not mean that the appliance puts an excessive strain on your laundry. Even with laundry dried on a line, fluff can be observed when you shake or iron it. While the laundry is wet, fluff clings to it. In the tumble dryer, the fluff is separated from the textiles and caught by the fluff filter in the door. The amount of fluff depends on the type of laundry, but finding some fluff in the filter after drying is quite normal.
Does drying take less time if the laundry is well spun?
Indeed, thorough spinning reduces the time and energy required to dry your laundry. Creases caused during spinning will be largely flattened out in the tumble dryer.
Can I continue to use powder and special detergents?
Yes. Thanks to the intuitive, simple programme selection, it is possible to choose whether or not OptiDos should be used for the wash after every programme selection. When selecting “without OptiDos”, the detergent is taken from the right detergent dispenser drawer as usual.
What is added to which OptiDos dispenser?
By pulling out the OptiDos drawer, the detergents added to both dispensers are automatically shown on the touch display.
DualDry: why is the moisture control programme restricted to a maximum of 7 days?
This restriction prevents the appliance from being used as a construction dryer. This is not what it is designed for. The running time has an influence on the components and can also be considered a safety issue. A period of 7 days has been defined as once a week is generally considered sufficient for washing and drying.
How does induction conserve energy?
Induction is the technology of the future: it is faster and more energy-efficient. One litre of water is brought to the boil in approximately two minutes. This is made possible by smart technology. Induction generates heat exactly where it is needed in the base of the pan. The glass around the heated cooking zone stays virtually cold, so no energy is wasted. An induction stove uses up to 40% less energy compared to other heating methods.
What different types of fridges are available?
There are refrigerators with or without an internal freezer compartment, pure freezers, refrigerator/freezer combinations, and wine coolers. Under-counter refrigerators are fitted underneath worktops in studio apartments or small flats. Conventional refrigerators are integrated into tall cupboards. These are available as fully integrated versions as well as in White or Nero. The real colossus of the refrigerator world comes in the form of the FoodCenter, whose features even include an ice maker for ice cubes, crushed ice or iced water in addition to a gigantic refrigerator compartment. We also offer luxury refrigerators and freezers in the Supreme line, whose sheer space and flexibility make them ideal for stocking up.Induction hobs offer pan detection. How does this work?
Have you ever turned your stove on by accident or forgotten to turn off the heat? Now this not a problem any more. Pan detection ensures that the stove generates heat only when a pan is placed on the hob. A timer-controlled safety shut-off monitors each cooking zone and turns it off after a certain period. And if you have some aspiring junior chefs in your family, use the childproof lock to prevent accidents. Are there fridges with an integrated icemaker?
The FoodCenter, CombiCooler Supreme and the Freezer Supreme (appliances in the Supreme line are only available in selected markets) are all equipped with an ice maker, which can dispense ice cubes, crushed ice or iced water. Perfect for cocktail parties!
Induction hobs offer a PowerPlus function. What is it for?
The PowerPlus function offered by almost all induction hobs helps you save time. If, for example, you need to heat up a large quantity of water, you can have a cooking zone work at an increased power level of up to 140%. PowerPlus puts up to 3700 watts at your disposal. How many washes can be done with the content of an OptiDos tank before it needs to be refilled?
Both OptiDos dispensers can each be filled with 1.2 l of liquid detergent or softener. OptiDos calculates the optimum dosing volume according to the selected programme and the laundry volume in the drum. No excessive or insufficient dosage ever again!Examples: Slightly soiled laundry, at medium water hardness, manufacturer’s dosing recommendation is 60 ml. This means that you can wash up to 20 times without refilling. Normally soiled laundry, at soft water hardness, manufacturer’s dosing recommendation is 95 ml. Here, up to 12 washes can be done without refilling (the number of washes depends on the dosing recommendation of the detergent, the laundry volume in the drum, water hardness, degree of soiling).
I have some items of clothing that I’m unsure about putting in the washing machine. Does the machine have programmes that can handle them correctly?
Yes. Hand wash, WetClean and wool programmes are available, and it’s also possible to activate additional functions such as Easy care.
I suffer from allergies. Can a washing machine help me cope with them?
The anti-mite programme eradicates mites and allergens – importantly, that includes house dust mite excretions, which are linked to respiratory problems. These unwelcome house guests are incredibly resilient, but they are completely wiped out by the anti-mite programme found in AdoraWash and Unimatic product lines. The results are so good that even technical institutes are sharing them.
What exactly is a Teppan Yaki designed for?
Professional caterers have been raving about it, and you can have it in your own kitchen: a Teppan Yaki. Why is this Japanese method of cooking on a flat grilling surface so popular? Because you don't need any pots and pans, it's entertaining for your guests to watch, and you don't have to worry about choosing the right cooking temperature and time. The cooking temperature, for example, can be set precisely according to the kind of food you’re preparing, and it stay at a constant level, no matter how many delicacies you pile onto the griddle. This ensures heat sensitive food is cooked particularly gently so that its taste, quality and nutrients are perfectly preserved. A Teppan Yaki will turn your dinner parties into an unforgettable experience. What different kinds of hobs are available?
There are radiant hobs, which are controlled via a stove or switch box (formerly Quicklight). By contrast, autarkic radiant hobs (formerly Toptronic) and induction hobs feature controls situated directly on the glass surface. The space saved in this way can be used by fitting an additional 1/6th drawer. Cooking by forced induction is the nec plus ultra for the chef's home kitchen. The CombiCookTop range (formerly Fusion) includes induction hobs that have an extractor embedded in the hob. What is the best way to keep vegetables fresh?
The 0°C zone (at high humidity) provides the ideal climate to double the storage time of fresh vegetables, salad and herbs. What is the purpose of a hob with three cooking zones?
As steamers are becoming increasingly popular, we have found that people tend to use fewer pots and pans in their cooking. This is why we have introduced hobs featuring only three cooking zones that are more generously spaced.
What are the different installation options for hobs?
Hobs that are fitted flush with the worktop achieve perfect aesthetic integration and create the impression of compact simplicity. Hobs with a set-off glass frame (bevel-edged) have a very elegant appearance, while chromium steel frames and over-large frames (for replacements) convince by their simplicity of installation and their classic design, they fit in a wide variety of kitchen combinations.
Do I need to use special pans with an induction appliance? Are they expensive?
For induction to work, the base of the pan must be ferromagnetic. As induction hobs are quite popular, there is a broad range of available well-priced pans.
What is the energy saving potential of a modern refrigerator?
Under the new energy efficiency rating system, which comes into force on 1 March 2021, our CombiCoolers are in energy efficiency class C. This makes them our most energy-efficient refrigerators. Their long operating life also helps to save operating costs and resources. How does the steam anti-crease programme work?
The steam anti-crease additional programme can be selected with a large number of washing programmes. The integrated heating function gently treats shirts, blouses, skirts and other items with steam generated at the end of the wash cycle. This makes ironing faster and more convenient – and sometimes even removes the need for it altogether.
What is the purpose of the bottle drawer with removable drinks basket?
This additional cooling zone offers storage room for beverages at a pleasant drinking temperature. The extractable bottle drawer running on rails is particularly convenient. It contains a removable basket with space for six bottles. Its somewhat higher temperature makes this bottom compartment ideal for cold-sensitive food such as potatoes and exotic fruit. Are there health risks involved with using induction hobs?
In spite of a great number of studies, scientists so far have found no proof that electromagnetic fields pose any environmental or health risks. Like any domestic appliance, induction hobs generate an electromagnetic field. However, the field is many times less powerful than that generated by an electric razor, a hair dryer or a power drill. To find out more visit www.fea.ch, the website of the Swiss Association of the Domestic Electrical Appliances Industry.
What makes induction hobs so easy to clean?
Induction hobs are impressively fast. They react quickly and are finely adjustable, which means liquids will rarely boil over, if ever. As the heat is generated in the base of the pan only, the glass around the cooking zone is hardly warmed up at all. Therefore spilt food won't burn and the hob can be cleaned easily with a damp cloth. How do you clean the hob?
Slight soiling can be removed with a smooth cloth and a little detergent. To tackle heavy dirt, apply glass ceramic cleaning agent with a sponge, leave it on for a few minutes and then remove it with a cloth. Encrusted dirt can be removed with a hob scraper. Are there any refrigerators with multiple temperature zones and what advantages do they offer?
Some of our refrigerators feature three different temperature zones. In addition to the freezer compartment and the main refrigerator compartment, the Magnum 2 60i and Cooltronic 60i eco refrigerators, for example, also offer a cold storage compartment with infinitely variable humidity control (0-degree zone), in which food stays fresh up to three times longer. The Noblesse 60i eco and the DeLuxe 60i both feature a bottom compartment complete with bottle drawer (8–12°C) in which food that is sensitive to the cold (such as potatoes) can be stored at a mild temperature and drinks can be kept at a pleasant drinking temperature. These different temperature zones offer the greatest possible flexibility.Where can I install the new CoffeeCenter V6000 45?

TheCoffeeCenter V6000 45 in the new Excellence Line design is built into tall cabinets, allowing it to blend in seamlessly with other thermal appliances in this new generation.
What exactly is the vibration absorbing system (VAS)?
With the new Adora model, VAS compensates an unbalanced load during the spinning phase. This means the machine runs particularly smoothly and quietly. Structure-borne sound and its transmission to adjacent rooms are greatly reduced, which makes the Adora ideal for use in apartments or in buildings with an air-proof envelope such as those built according to the MINERGIE® standard. As documented by official tests, the V-ZUG Adora with VAS conforms perfectly to the stringent requirements of SIA standard 181.
What exactly is V-ZUG WetClean?
WetClean heralds the dawn of a new era in the laundry room. Now you can machine-wash even your particularly delicate favourite clothes. Be it your little black dress, your ball gown or a delicate, frilly blouse, as long as your treasured outfits can be washed with water, just put them in the washing machine. Provided, that is, you have an Adora SLQ. ZUG makes a point of using water intelligently as well as economically. We have developed an innovative technology that harnesses the gentle power of water to wash especially delicate garments. The new Adora SLQ features a separate internal water cycle. A special distribution nozzle smoothly soaks the laundry by spraying water over it, a highly gentle cleaning process that amounts to a textile, wellness programme.
What actions can I take to prevent undesirable odours?
To make sure the range hood works as effectively as possible, switch it on three to five minutes before you start cooking. This allows an air flow to be established in the room so that vapours and odours can be conducted away quickly. To prevent the build-up of negative pressure and support the extraction of cooking odours, fresh air must be supplied at the same time. As a result, the following rules apply: always open a window when using air extraction solutions. Once you have finished cooking, keep the fan running for another five to ten minutes. Many range hoods have an automatic run-on function for this purpose. In particular, frying pans should be left under the range hood if they are still hot because they can still disperse odours even after you have finished cooking. What is the automatic run-on function?
Hoods with the automatic run-on function extract the remaining cooking vapours from the room for a specific time period (between 5 and 20 minutes) even after you have finished cooking and switched off the range hood. After that point, the range hood is switched off automatically. If the appliance is being used in recirculation mode, the activated charcoal filter can also carry out final drying of the furniture base – just like in range hoods that remove vapours by extracting them downwards (downdraft systems). This useful function is integrated into various range hoods and downdraft systems, and is activated by tapping the clock button shown at the end of the cooking process. How long will the LED lights last in my range hood?
Since 2019, all our range hoods have been equipped exclusively with energy-saving LED lights. LEDs have energy-efficient properties plus a long service life. What should I bear in mind when planning and installing an exhaust duct?
The exhaust duct should be as short as possible and have as few bends and curves as possible. Ideally, it should have a diameter of 150 mm. Each additional metre added to the exhaust duct and each additional bend will create resistance, reducing the power of the range hood. A more powerful range hood cannot compensate for a poorly designed exhaust duct. This will only result in increased losses and noise levels. Reducing the diameter of the exhaust duct should be avoided where possible – due to the increased flow rate, this will also lead to increased noise levels.
How important is it for the range hood to cover the entire hob surface?
The more the range hood covers the hob, the better the extraction performance. This is why flat pull-out deflector plates perform very well. For wall and island hoods, you should make sure that the majority of the hob is well covered. What is the difference between an extracted air and a recirculation air range hood?
Extracted air range hoods require access to the outdoors. They convey cooking vapours directly outside into the open air via the metal grease filter. In a recirculation air range hood, the air is drawn in, cleaned using an activated charcoal filter and then conveyed back into the kitchen. This option is particularly suitable if there is no way to convey the cooking vapours from the range hood in your kitchen to the outside. Virtually all V-ZUG range hoods can be operated with either extracted air or recirculation air. What types of range hoods are there?
There are different solutions to suit you – whether you want your range hood to be an eye-catching design feature or for it to be discreetly integrated into your kitchen. On the wall If you want to make your range hood stand out, then a wall hood is a great choice. Wall hoods are also available as slanted versions which provide ample headroom. They are installed on the wall directly above the hob. Integrated into the kitchen units If you would rather incorporate the hood into the kitchen so that it is virtually invisible, then we recommend a built-in range hood with a glass canopy, a flat-panel range hood or an integrated range hood. These are perfect for kitchens in which you need to make clever use of the space. On the ceiling Range hoods designed for ceiling installation are the perfect solution in open-plan kitchens that feature a free-standing cooking island. Choose your favourites from our elegant ceiling range hoods and our wide range of attractive island hoods. Downdraft or in the hob itself Without long detours, cooking vapours are whisked away at the very place where they first develop – on the hob itself. Our integrated hob hood, the pull-out downdraft and the induction hob with integrated range hood offer increased headroom and extract the vapours downwards. Is it possible to use an extracted air or a recirculation air solution in conjunction with the Fusion hob with integrated range hood?
Yes it is – the unit can be installed with either an extracted air or a recirculation air solution.Which range hoods are particularly quiet?
The level of noise emitted by a range hood depends on the model and extracted air system chosen. In the case of extracted air range hoods, the following rule applies: the smaller the diameter of the exhaust duct, the louder the appliance. As a result, we recommend using a pipe diameter of 150 mm in extracted air mode.Is it a good idea to install a sound absorber with a wall/island hood or built-in range hood?
Yes, we would definitely recommend installing a sound absorber to reduce the overall noise emissions. In extracted air mode, both the fan noise going outside and the outdoor noise coming inside via the extracted air duct can be reduced. In the case of recirculation mode, the sound absorber is positioned directly on the fan nozzle in the hood flue. What is EasyCook and how do the filter functions work?
The EasyCook function provides you with helpful default settings for over 100 selected foods – so you can cook quickly and with confidence even without a recipe. Simply select the desired food under EasyCook, and the appliance will immediately suggest one or more cooking methods. The selection of foods and recipes can be customised. The «Nutritional style» filter setting can be used to remove foods that are not required at the touch of a button. For example, meat can be deselected if the user is a vegetarian. The «National cuisines» filter, on the other hand, expands the range of dishes to include country-specific recipes and can be quickly adapted to your personal culinary style.
Can an existing cooker or oven be replaced with a steamer?
The CombairSteamer fits best in an existing niche (762 mm) for a standard oven or cooker. These appliances combine a complete oven and steaming functions. CombairSteamers offer all the steaming programmes of a steam cooker and the classic functions of an oven – such as hot air, top/bottom heat and grill. If expanding the niche is possible, we recommend the classic combination of a 45 oven and a 45 CombiSteamer, allowing you to benefit from the flexibility of having two cooking spaces.
What about the consumption values / energy efficiency of ovens and steamers?
Our cookers, ovens and steamers are all classified in the most economical energy efficiency class A or better.
How do I need to clean the DualDry?
The DualDry is cleaned like an Adora heat pump dryer. This means that the fluff filter should be regularly cleaned and the air inlet flap wiped with a damp cloth. The front insertion can be rinsed under running water.
Why is it so important to clean the dryer's fluff filters on a regular basis?
Blocked fluff filters and filter pads weaken the airflow. This means the laundry takes more time and energy to dry. This is why the fluff filters and filter pads should be cleaned regularly as stated in the operating manual.
What are the advantages of baking with hot air over traditional top/bottom heat?
Advantages over traditional top/bottom heat are that the results are comparable to what you can buy at a bakery. The V-ZUG hot-air concept achieves much more efficient (hot) air distribution because the hot air circulates in the oven cavity and the heat cooks the top and bottom of the baked goods more evenly. What’s more, you can even bake on two levels at the same time using hot air.
Is there a heating mode for pizza and flans?
The PizzaPlus programme combines hot air with bottom heat. This is what makes your pizza, quiche or fruit tart base wonderfully crispy.
May I use a softener?
Yes. The softener can be used for both drying processes. It is irrelevant whether the laundry is dried in the drum or on a washing line. Deposits of softener on the drum surface are reduced to a minimum by the lower temperatures.
What kind of power connection do I need?
A normal 230 volt socket (T13 / 10 A secured).
How must the DualDry be positioned?
The positioning is shown in the installation instructions.
Can I adjust the degree of dryness With a V-ZUG tumble dryer?
V-ZUG dryers are designed for minimum energy consumption. A humidity sensor continuously measures your laundry's degree of dryness. If in spite of this, your laundry turns out too dry or not dry enough, you can adjust the degree of dryness according to your needs.
Should I use fabric conditioner if I want to dry my laundry in the tumble dryer?
Do not use fabric conditioner if drying the washing in a tumble dryer, unless the manufacturer states otherwise. Tumble drying automatically leaves the washing soft and fluffy to the touch. Using fabric conditioner can cause a thin, barely visible film to form on the drum and humidity sensors. This can lead to malfunctions and prevent the appliance from achieving the required degree of dryness.
Does the unit have a discharge pump?
Yes, a discharge pump is installed. The maximum feed height of the discharge height is 1.2 m.
It is possible to dry laundry in the drum and in the room at the same time?
No, only one operating mode works at a time.
How does hot air work?
A heating element behind the hot air diffuser plate heats up the air inside the cooking chamber, which is circulated evenly. The feature is suitable for cakes, biscuits, bread and roasted meat on two levels. Set the temperature approx. 20 °C lower than for top/bottom heat.
Where does the extracted water go?
The DualDry has an integrated discharge pump. The water is directed into a syphon with a hose.
What is the moisture control programme?
The moisture control programme automatically starts the room air laundry drying over 7 days if the appliance detects an increase in humidity. The target humidity in the room can be set between 50% and 60%.
How do the Eco programmes work?
The Eco programmes allow you to save energy without compromising on quality. Hot air eco and top/bottom heat eco are particularly suitable for stews that require a lot of time in the oven.
Does the room need to be closed?
An optimal drying process during room air laundry drying is guaranteed in rooms where the windows and doors are closed. This reduces the penetration of humid air from the outside.
Does the DualDry also work in unheated rooms?
An optimal drying result is reached at a room temperature of 10-30°C. In rooms with very low temperatures, the function may be restricted. The DualDry may not be used under 8°C.
What are the benefits of the stored recipes?
Inspiration and ideas for baking and steaming are provided in the nine recipe books «With a passion for detail». We have developed a wide variety of recipes that are designed to suit the appliances in the Excellence Line. The stored recipes are called up automatically on the display and the specified settings are performed in the right order to save time and effort while cooking. Cooking with these recipes automatically prompts you to use operating modes you aren’t familiar with, helping you to get to know the appliance better.
What makes the extractor hoods particularly user-friendly?
We recommend conveying the extracted air outside wherever possible, as this carries smells away from the kitchen. The most effective solution is to use an exhaust system (duct) with a diameter of 150 mm.
Should I leave the windows and doors open or closed when using the range hood?
Range hoods need enough replacement air to guarantee optimum extraction performance. You can ensure this by opening a window or incorporating a replacement air unit. If there is insufficient replacement air, this can create negative pressure (a vacuum) – the range hood will become significantly louder and it will have difficulty conveying the cooking odours outside.
Do I need to air the room when I use my range hood?
You should always ensure there is a supply of replacement air when the range hood is running. In the case of a recirculation air range hood, this enables air that is still moist after passing through the filters to be replaced. In extracted air solutions, an open window helps to optimise the air flow and prevents negative pressure building up in the kitchen.
Can I switch off/suppress the automatic light activation if I don’t really need a light above the cooking area?
For safety reasons, we recommend that the cooking area is always well lit.
Does the screen need to be pulled out on a built-in range hood for OptiLink to work?
The screen must always be pulled out to ensure the range hood can work at its best.
Can I adjust the reaction times for the hob and range hood in OptiLink operating mode?
Three levels are available in OptiLink mode that vary in terms of their reaction times and the maximum possible power level. Level 1: Silent mode – reaction time 60 seconds and maximum power level 2 Level 2: Standard mode – reaction time 45 seconds and maximum power level 3 Level 3: Intensive mode – reaction time 20 seconds and maximum power level Intensive You can easily select whichever operating mode you want. When the appliance is switched off, press the "Light" and "Automatic run-on" buttons at the same time. The operating mode that is currently selected will be shown on the power level display. You can change the operating mode by pressing the power button. The selected setting will be saved 5 seconds after the last input.
Can you clean the metal grease filters in the dishwasher?
All metal grease filters should be cleaned at least once every two months (more frequently in the event of intensive use, and at the latest when the noise increases). Range hoods with saturation indicators on the display remind you to clean them regularly. You can soak the metal grease filter by hand and clean it with gentle detergent. It can, of course, also be cleaned in the dishwasher – simply choose an intensive programme. If you choose to wash the filter in the dishwasher, do not place any other crockery in the dishwasher. What is the metal grease filter saturation indicator?
Some range hoods are equipped with a warning light that shows you when the metal grease filter needs to be cleaned. The operating hours counter can be used to roughly estimate whether the metal grease filter is full or not.How do I recognise a clogged filter in the DualDry?
The appliance reports a fault. A9: Cleaning sieves and mats.
How long does the drying take?
According to the measurement in line with the standard, the drying capacity at a maximum room size of 9 m² is 1.34 kg/h and it takes 5h 40min.
My dishes are still not clean when they come out of the dishwasher – what can I do?
There are a number of reasons for unsatisfactory cleaning results. The most common are listed below: - Too many dishes are packed too closely together in the dishwasher, preventing the water jets from the spray nozzles from reaching every part of the dishes and resulting in spray shadows. Spray shadows are surfaces on dishes that have been missed by the water jet and are therefore not cleaned. - The dishwasher's spray arms are blocked, meaning that the water spray pressure is too low for proper cleaning. In this case, you can simply remove the spray arms (see the operating instructions) and clean the nozzles under the tap. - Select the RinsePlus user setting on the dishwasher. RinsePlus increases the amount of water and extends the programme duration.
My dishes are still damp when they come out of the dishwasher – what can I do?
- You need to increase the amount of rinse aid in the user settings (ex-works level 4). This will increase the level of rinse agent used in the rinsing process, thereby improving the dryness. - Select the DryPlus user setting on the dishwasher. DryPlus increases the temperature during final rinsing and extends the programme duration.
What is the difference between a dryer (heat pump tumble dryer) and a room air laundry dryer (DualDry)?
With a heat pump tumble dryer, the drying takes place in a closed drum. The laundry is added to the drum and dried with the temperature of 55°C released by the integrated cooling circuit. With DualDry, the laundry is hung up on a washing line in the room. The DualDry blows dry air into the laundry items. They release the humidity into the room air. The humid room air is channelled via the evaporator installed in the DualDry. In doing so, the vapour in the air condensates on the cold evaporator surface. The dried and cooled air is then warmed up via the condenser and blown into the hanging laundry. DualDry uses the same heat pump to dehumidify the room air. However, the drying takes place at far lower temperatures.
