This is primarily an aesthetic question, but also depends on the kind of worktop you have. Flush hobs are mainly installed with stone worktops. However, make sure that the hob can be accessed from underneath the worktop.
Induction hobs offer pan detection. How does this work?
Have you ever turned your stove on by accident or forgotten to turn off the heat? Now this not a problem any more. Pan detection ensures that the stove generates heat only when a pan is placed on the hob. A timer-controlled safety shut-off monitors each cooking zone and turns it off after a certain period. And if you have some aspiring junior chefs in your family, use the childproof lock to prevent accidents.How do I use OptiDos from V-ZUG in everyday life?
OptiDos can play a valuable role in your daily routine. You no longer have to think about dosing the detergent. V-ZUG has also made the operation and selection of the correct programme as easy as possible. 3 clicks are sufficient to start the washing machine with the desired programme and automatic dosing.
Can I put the tumble dryer on top of the washing machine if I don’t have much space?
Yes, you can put the tumble dryer either next to or on top of the washing machine. The stacking kits supplied (AdoraWash/AdoraDry) make it safe and easy to install the machines.
How can I save water while doing laundry?
The AdoraWash Vx000 washing machines are equipped with the partial load water and energy economy function as standard. It is completely automatic and checks how much washing is in the drum before the start of every wash cycle, achieving water savings of as much as 60% compared with using the maximum amount of water in the drum.
Can I also connect the washing machine to a hot water supply?
Yes, you can – if you have a solar installation at home, you can use the hot water it generates for the washing machine. This is an optional feature on AdoraWash Vx000 washing machines.
I want to place the tumble dryer next to the washing machine. Can I choose which side door hinges are fitted?

Both OptiDos dispensers can each be filled with 1.2 l of liquid detergent or softener. OptiDos calculates the optimum dosing volume according to the selected programme and the laundry volume in the drum. No excessive or insufficient dosage ever again!Examples: Slightly soiled laundry, at medium water hardness, manufacturer’s dosing recommendation is 60 ml. This means that you can wash up to 20 times without refilling. Normally soiled laundry, at soft water hardness, manufacturer’s dosing recommendation is 95 ml. Ovens with pyrolytic features practically clean themselves: Dirt is converted into ash by the special pyrolytic self-cleaning programme, which heats the cooking chamber to extremely high temperatures. The ash can then be wiped away with a damp cloth. Pyrolytic self-cleaning is available as an option in all appliances in convenience level V4000 or above.
Are appliances with AutoDoor a safety risk for unsupervised children?
No. If the appliance door reaches its stopping point or encounters resistance, movement is stopped. The appliance door is uncoupled from the drive at a certain angle and can be moved freely. If an appliance door with AutoDoor is stopped manually, you must press the button again or close the appliance door manually to reset it.
How do I open the door of an AutoDoor appliance in the event of a power cut?
The appliance door can always be opened by hand or by using a wooden spoon. The best way to do this is to hold the corners of the glass front and open the door by hand.
What is the automatic run-on function?
Hoods with the automatic run-on function extract the remaining cooking vapours from the room for a specific time period (between 5 and 20 minutes) even after you have finished cooking and switched off the range hood. After that point, the range hood is switched off automatically. If the appliance is being used in recirculation mode, the activated charcoal filter can also carry out final drying of the furniture base – just like in range hoods that remove vapours by extracting them downwards (downdraft systems). This useful function is integrated into various range hoods and downdraft systems, and is activated by tapping the clock button shown at the end of the cooking process.How does a modern washing machine compare to a 20-year-old model in terms of water consumption?
A model from 1990 required 80 litres of water and used 1.25 kW of electricity. A current model can manage with just 39 litres of water and 0.85 kW of electricity. The amount of water required depends on the level of soiling and the water hardness. AdoraWash washing machines are equipped with EcoManagement. This function shows how much water and energy were used during the last wash cycle. It also displays average values for the last 20 wash cycles.
What exactly is the partial load economy system?
To avoid wasting water and electricity, the ingenious V-ZUG sensor system ensures that consumption precisely corresponds to the actual amount and type of laundry. This means that, with the economical V-ZUG washing machines, you can easily wash a smaller amount of laundry without wasting precious resources.
What should I bear in mind when planning and installing an exhaust duct?
The exhaust duct should be as short as possible and have as few bends and curves as possible. Ideally, it should have a diameter of 150 mm. Each additional metre added to the exhaust duct and each additional bend will create resistance, reducing the power of the range hood. A more powerful range hood cannot compensate for a poorly designed exhaust duct. This will only result in increased losses and noise levels. Reducing the diameter of the exhaust duct should be avoided where possible – due to the increased flow rate, this will also lead to increased noise levels.
How important is it for the range hood to cover the entire hob surface?
The more the range hood covers the hob, the better the extraction performance. This is why flat pull-out deflector plates perform very well. For wall and island hoods, you should make sure that the majority of the hob is well covered.What is the difference between an extracted air and a recirculation air range hood?
Extracted air range hoods require access to the outdoors. They convey cooking vapours directly outside into the open air via the metal grease filter. In a recirculation air range hood, the air is drawn in, cleaned using an activated charcoal filter and then conveyed back into the kitchen. This option is particularly suitable if there is no way to convey the cooking vapours from the range hood in your kitchen to the outside. Virtually all V-ZUG range hoods can be operated with either extracted air or recirculation air.What is the purpose of the textile type programme?
The Adora SLQ and Adora SL models automatically select the appropriate wash programme for different types of laundry such as jeans, baby clothes or net curtains. The baby garments programme, for example, ensures that your little one's clothes turn out perfectly hygienically clean. Microbiological tests by the Veritas laboratory have confirmed its effectiveness.
What is the purpose of the night economy programme?
The Adora night economy programme reduces energy consumption by 40% and water consumption by 20%. You can make use of lower night electricity rates and protect the environment. What's more, the Adora is very quiet.
What is the purpose of the turbidity sensor?
By continuously monitoring water turbidity, the ZUG Adora can detect when your laundry has been sufficiently rinsed. This has two advantages: your clothes are perfectly rinsed and water consumption is reduced by 30%.
What is the purpose of the degree of soiling button?
This adapts the wash programme to the degree of soiling. This additional function is typical for V-ZUG appliances and helps you save water, time and energy.
What is the purpose of the tilting operating panel?
Your convenience is important to us. Thanks to the articulated design, you can position the operating panel according to your personal preference.
How does the «Tip and go» function work?
You select a main programme by pressing a singlebutton. This means all the required settings are automatically chosen. If desired, you can select additional programmes or functions by pressing the corresponding buttons. If no button is pressed within 20 seconds, the programme selected will start automatically.
How does the hot air humid programme work?
A heating element behind the hot air diffuser plate heats up the air inside the cooking chamber, which is circulated evenly. Any moisture escaping from the food is kept to a minimum within the cooking chamber. The food retains its moisture. The feature is suitable for gratins, casseroles, bread and yeast pastries on two levels.
How do the Eco programmes work?
The Eco programmes allow you to save energy without compromising on quality. Hot air eco and top/bottom heat eco are particularly suitable for stews that require a lot of time in the oven.
How does the PizzaPlus programme work?
The PizzaPlus programme combines hot air with bottom heat. This allows pizzas, Italian focaccias, quiches and flans to achieve a golden-brown surface and crispy base.
What are the benefits of the stored recipes?
Inspiration and ideas for baking and steaming are provided in the nine recipe books «With a passion for detail». We have developed a wide variety of recipes that are designed to suit the appliances in the Excellence Line. The stored recipes are called up automatically on the display and the specified settings are performed in the right order to save time and effort while cooking. How many hobs can I connect to a range hood via Bluetooth?

Connecting, or pairing, your V-ZUG built-in range hood with our networkable hobs is a breeze.Why does the V6000 model not exist with OptiDos?
Due to the heat pump, it is not possible to implement it in the AdoraWash V6000 due to a lack of space.
How do I explain the use of DualDry in MINERGIE buildings?
If the laundry room or drying room are also to be connected to the comfort ventilation system, the two systems (comfort ventilation and DualDry) will complement each other when drying wet laundry. This means that increased air humidity in the room is reduced (dehumidified) both by the comfort ventilation system and by our dryer. There may be a problem if the target room humidity of the comfort ventilation system is set higher than that of the dryer. This would mean that the comfort ventilation system becomes permanently moist and our dryer would be permanently dehumidified (especially with our moisture control programme). This seems highly unlikely to me, since a laundry room generally calls for a dry climate and the recommended target room humidities of the comfort ventilation system are somewhat lower than ours – see below).
Can water softener be dosed in the OptiDos washing machine? How would this work?
It cannot be dosed.
How do I prevent the formation of mould?
Mould is caused by excess humidity in the room. Whenever laundry is hung up, the room air laundry drying function should be started to remove the humidity from the room. Alternatively, the moisture control programme can also be selected.
May I ventilate the drying room before and after drying?
As soon as the drying process is complete and the DualDry has been switched off, we recommend ventilating the room for 5-10 minutes.
Does the DualDry require maintenance?
Apart from the usual cleaning processes, no further maintenance is required.
How do I need to clean the DualDry?
The DualDry is cleaned like an Adora heat pump dryer. This means that the fluff filter should be regularly cleaned and the air inlet flap wiped with a damp cloth. The front insertion can be rinsed under running water.
Why is it so important to clean the dryer's fluff filters on a regular basis?
Blocked fluff filters and filter pads weaken the airflow. This means the laundry takes more time and energy to dry. This is why the fluff filters and filter pads should be cleaned regularly as stated in the operating manual.
How much rope do I need per wash?
40 m of rope per 10 kg of laundry are required.
What is the metal grease filter saturation indicator?
Some range hoods are equipped with a warning light that shows you when the metal grease filter needs to be cleaned. The operating hours counter can be used to roughly estimate whether the metal grease filter is full or not.How often does the activated charcoal filter need to be replaced?
The activated charcoal filters can be easily removed and regenerated, depending on the model. The most efficient long-life plus activated charcoal filter, for example, can be regenerated in the oven every three to six months. The long-life activated charcoal filter can be cleaned in the dishwasher and then dried in the oven. Conventional activated charcoal filters need to be replaced every six months or so.Is it still necessary to soak encrusted gratin dishes and fondue pans in water over night?
The fondue/raclette programme provides a remedy for this. Caquelons and raclette pans become perfectly clean without soaking. The programme is also suitable as a "super intensive programme" thanks to the active softening phase. Pre-rinsing burnt gratin dishes is a thing of the past thanks to this world first from V-ZUG.
My dishwasher has an unpleasant odour – what can I do?
To remove unpleasant odours, you can take the following steps. Remove the filter and clean it thoroughly. Select a more powerful programme, such as the Intensive programme. Refill the regenerating salt. Run the Pre-rinsing programme from time to time. Buy a commercially available dishwasher cleaner and add this using the Intensive programme.
What kind of regeneration salt do I need to use for the dishwasher?
You can use either fine or coarse-grained regular regeneration salt.
Is there a programme that automatically detects the degree of soiling?
Yes, our ingenious automatic wash programme continuously measures how dirty the dishes are and adapts the washing process accordingly. This ensures the appliance only uses the amount of time and resources required to get the dishes perfectly clean.
Is there anything in particular I need to consider when cooking with microwaves?
With certain foods such as potatoes or tomatoes, make sure you puncture the peel several times so the steam building up inside them can escape. Also, you should cover your food with wrapping film or a lid. Puncture the film lightly before cooking. Certain foods such as vegetables require you to stir them a few times or add some water during cooking.
Where does the extracted water go?
The DualDry has an integrated discharge pump. The water is directed into a syphon with a hose.
What is the moisture control programme?
The moisture control programme automatically starts the room air laundry drying over 7 days if the appliance detects an increase in humidity. The target humidity in the room can be set between 50% and 60%.
Would you recommend installing a dishwasher in an elevated position?
If there is sufficient space in a tall cabinet, an elevated position can be very useful as there is no need to bend down in order to load and empty the dishwasher. Just remember that the maximum length of the armoured hose is three metres.
Are additional accessories required to use OptiDos?
No. Both detergent dispensers are supplied with the washing machine and can be immediately filled with the desired liquid agents or softeners.
How does induction conserve energy?
Induction is the technology of the future: it is faster and more energy-efficient. One litre of water is brought to the boil in approximately two minutes. This is made possible by smart technology. Induction generates heat exactly where it is needed in the base of the pan. The glass around the heated cooking zone stays virtually cold, so no energy is wasted. An induction stove uses up to 40% less energy compared to other heating methods.
DualDry: why is the moisture control programme restricted to a maximum of 7 days?
This restriction prevents the appliance from being used as a construction dryer. This is not what it is designed for. The running time has an influence on the components and can also be considered a safety issue. A period of 7 days has been defined as once a week is generally considered sufficient for washing and drying.
Induction hobs offer a PowerPlus function. What is it for?
The PowerPlus function offered by almost all induction hobs helps you save time. If, for example, you need to heat up a large quantity of water, you can have a cooking zone work at an increased power level of up to 140%. The space saved in this way can be used by fitting an additional 1/6th drawer. Cooking by forced induction is the nec plus ultra for the chef's home kitchen. Instead of the traditional heating element, an induction coil is placed beneath the glass ceramic hob, generating a varying electromagnetic field. The field generates eddy currents in the base of the pan, which leads to a rapid heating of the magnetic pan material.Is there a separate cooking zone for fish pans?
Fish pans can be used without difficulty on any cooking hob featuring a frying zone.Is liquid detergent still the trend or will there be a switch to tabs?
The trend is currently for liquid detergents and is moving away from powder. Tabs are hardly a thing yet when it comes to laundry. Percentages: 68% liquid, 26% powder and 6% caps/tabs (source: Mibelle Group, October 2018)
Why are grease stains or other stains left on the washed laundry?
We recommend checking the dosage setting of the selected OptiDos dispenser and, if necessary, adjusting it in accordance with the currently used agent. Here, we recommend the quantity stated by the manufacturer for 4–5 kg of laundry. The water hardness set may also need to be checked or a powder-based wool detergent (contains bleach) used.
What are the different installation options for hobs?
Hobs that are fitted flush with the worktop achieve perfect aesthetic integration and create the impression of compact simplicity. Hobs with a set-off glass frame (bevel-edged) have a very elegant appearance, while chromium steel frames and over-large frames (for replacements) convince by their simplicity of installation and their classic design, they fit in a wide variety of kitchen combinations.
Do I need to use special pans with an induction appliance? Are they expensive?
For induction to work, the base of the pan must be ferromagnetic. As induction hobs are quite popular, there is a broad range of available well-priced pans.
Are my pans suitable for use with an induction appliance?
Use a magnet to test whether your pans can be used with an induction hob. If the magnet sticks to the base of your pan, you're ready to go, otherwise, the pan will not work with an induction hob.
Are there hob models with an automatic safety shut-off?
Yes, all V-ZUG induction and autarkic radiant hobs are fitted with an automatic safety shut-off that prevents overheating.
What is added to which OptiDos dispenser?
By pulling out the OptiDos drawer, the detergents added to both dispensers are automatically shown on the touch display.
Ergonomic cooking is important to me. What do I need to consider?
Make sure the cooking zones are generously spaced so the pans don't touch. We'd recommend a hob with cooking zones in a V- or A-shaped alignment. You might also consider a panorama hob, where the cooking zones are positioned in a single line for easy access.
Is there anything that may NOT be filled in the OptiDos dispenser?
Yes. Powder detergent, tabs, Javelle water or comparable bleaches may not be filled in the containers.
How is the correct dosing volume of liquid detergent set?
As standard, we recommend entering the dosing volume of the detergent manufacturer for 4–5 kg of laundry, medium soiling and the local water hardness in the machine. In most cases, the recommended dosing volume of the manufacturer can be found in a table on the rear of the packaging.
What can be filled in the OptiDos dispensers?
The following liquid detergents may be added to each dispenser: Universal detergent, colour detergent, fine detergent, softener, wool detergent, baby detergent, detergent for black clothes, detergent for white clothes, outdoor detergent. The dispensers can be flexibly filled according to personal requirements. Both dispensers with detergent, both dispensers with softener, one dispenser of detergent and one dispenser of softener, only one dispenser used with detergent or softener. The dispensers are also easily emptied if necessary and filled with another agent.
Where can I install the new CoffeeCenter V6000 45?
An automatic built-in coffee machine that is built into the kitchen front not only makes for an aesthetically pleasing solution that looks the part, but it also frees up worktop space. TheCoffeeCenter V6000 45 in the new Excellence Line design is built into tall cabinets, allowing it to blend in seamlessly with other thermal appliances in this new generation.
What is the purpose of the NoFrost technology built into FoodCenter models?
NoFrost technology means you'll never have to manually defrost your fridge again. All of our FoodCenter models are fitted with NoFrost technology, which means they defrost automatically at regular intervals.Which colours are available for refrigerator front panels?
The refrigerators can be supplied with White or Nero fronts. It is also possible to attach your own fronting in order to integrate the refrigerator into your kitchen.Are there any refrigerators with multiple temperature zones and what advantages do they offer?
Some of our refrigerators feature three different temperature zones. In addition to the freezer compartment and the main refrigerator compartment, the Magnum 2 60i and Cooltronic 60i eco refrigerators, for example, also offer a cold storage compartment with infinitely variable humidity control (0-degree zone), in which food stays fresh up to three times longer. The Noblesse 60i eco and the DeLuxe 60i both feature a bottom compartment complete with bottle drawer (8–12°C) in which food that is sensitive to the cold (such as potatoes) can be stored at a mild temperature and drinks can be kept at a pleasant drinking temperature. How does the steam anti-crease programme work?
The steam anti-crease additional programme can be selected with a large number of washing programmes. The integrated heating function gently treats shirts, blouses, skirts and other items with steam generated at the end of the wash cycle. This makes ironing faster and more convenient – and sometimes even removes the need for it altogether.
Is there a special programme for woollens?
Yes, there is. The wool programme has been specially designed to treat woollen fabrics extremely gently during the wash cycle and with a much lower spin speed. This produces fantastic results while putting the wool under as little strain as possible.
Is there a safer and more convenient way of removing the baking trays from the baking or cooking chambers?
The optional fully extending runner allows you to remove up to three baking trays safely and conveniently from the baking chamber. This is particularly practical when basting a piece of meat or for removing biscuits or a flan from the baking tray.
Is there not a risk of burning yourself on the door front?
All appliances are guaranteed to have low external door temperatures. In the case of normal ovens and steamers, a triple-layer glass door ensures safe operation while cooking. Pyrolytic self-cleaning ovens actually have a four-layer glass door concept. Thanks to the innovative door concept in the Advanced and Excellence Line, the door is ventilated with air from the room, thereby keeping the temperature of the outer door lower than it is for the standard models. What’s more, active appliance door ventilation also enables lower outer door temperatures for pyrolytic self-cleaning appliances.
