What is the most economical way to use a refrigerator?
Minimise your energy consumption and costs by defrosting your refrigerator regularly, positioning it in a cool place, not on the balcony, letting warm food cool down before placing it in the fridge and tightly covering liquids such as sauces.What actions can I take to prevent undesirable odours?
To make sure the range hood works as effectively as possible, switch it on three to five minutes before you start cooking. This allows an air flow to be established in the room so that vapours and odours can be conducted away quickly. To prevent the build-up of negative pressure and support the extraction of cooking odours, fresh air must be supplied at the same time. As a result, the following rules apply: always open a window when using air extraction solutions. Once you have finished cooking, keep the fan running for another five to ten minutes. Many range hoods have an automatic run-on function for this purpose. In particular, frying pans should be left under the range hood if they are still hot because they can still disperse odours even after you have finished cooking.What is the automatic run-on function?
Hoods with the automatic run-on function extract the remaining cooking vapours from the room for a specific time period (between 5 and 20 minutes) even after you have finished cooking and switched off the range hood. After that point, the range hood is switched off automatically. If the appliance is being used in recirculation mode, the activated charcoal filter can also carry out final drying of the furniture base – just like in range hoods that remove vapours by extracting them downwards (downdraft systems). This useful function is integrated into various range hoods and downdraft systems, and is activated by tapping the clock button shown at the end of the cooking process.What exactly is V-ZUG WetClean?

A special distribution nozzle smoothly soaks the laundry by spraying water over it, a highly gentle cleaning process that amounts to a textile, wellness programme.
Ergonomic cooking is important to me. What do I need to consider?
Make sure the cooking zones are generously spaced so the pans don't touch. We'd recommend a hob with cooking zones in a V- or A-shaped alignment. You might also consider a panorama hob, where the cooking zones are positioned in a single line for easy access.
Which range hoods are particularly quiet?
The level of noise emitted by a range hood depends on the model and extracted air system chosen. In the case of extracted air range hoods, the following rule applies: the smaller the diameter of the exhaust duct, the louder the appliance. As a result, we recommend using a pipe diameter of 150 mm in extracted air mode.Is it a good idea to install a sound absorber with a wall/island hood or built-in range hood?
Yes, we would definitely recommend installing a sound absorber to reduce the overall noise emissions. In extracted air mode, both the fan noise going outside and the outdoor noise coming inside via the extracted air duct can be reduced. In the case of recirculation mode, the sound absorber is positioned directly on the fan nozzle in the hood flue.What material is the ventilation duct of the DSMS hob hood made from?
The material is a flame-retardant plastic blend, which is self-extinguishing with a V0 classification as per the UL94 standard.What does the energy efficiency category say about a range hood?
The energy efficiency category helps you to understand a range hood’s energy consumption and to compare it to others. Since the start of 2020, products have been given a rating on a scale of A+++ to D. The most energy-efficient V-ZUG range hoods are in efficiency category A++.How do the hob hood and the hob with integrated range hood work?
Steam and odours rise at a maximum rate of one metre per second. The V-ZUG hob hood or hob with integrated range hood extracts the air using a cross current that is higher than the rising speed of the cooking vapour. As a result, cooking vapours and odours can be effectively extracted straight away at the hob.Does the hob ventilation/hob hood ventilation also work with taller pots?
Cooking vapours can be extracted without any problems in the case of pots up to 20 cm tall. For pots that are over 21 cm tall, we recommend placing the pot lid at an angle in order to direct the steam towards the range hood.What do I need to consider with regard to the exhaust duct?
If possible, you should make sure that the duct diameter is at least 125 mm and ideally 150 mm. If there is no room for a round pipe, a flat channel with an equivalent cross section may also be used. The use of 90° pipe bends should be kept to a minimum. Narrowing cross sections and reducing pipes with a smooth inner surface should also be avoided. We recommend using short piping lengths, wall boxes with large slats and sufficient replacement air.Washing laundry at 20°C is becoming increasingly popular. Do V-ZUG washing machines offer this functionality?
To meet our customer's requirements, our new laundry room appliances now feature a 20°C wash programme that can be selected by pressing a dedicated button.
How long do the LEDs remain lighting if the door is left open?
The lamps go out automatically after 2 minutes, which means that the washing machine can be left open after washing. The Start/Pause/Light button can be used to switch off the light manually. The automatic lighting can also be deactivated in the user settings.
What is the life cycle of the drum lighting LED?
The lifecycle corresponds to the appliance lifecycle. Therefore 4,000 batches / 15 years.
Can the drum lighting LEDs be replaced?
Yes, the drum lighting can be replaced.
What is V-ZUG TopClean?
TopClean is a specially developed coating that is applied on top of the enamel inside the cooking space and on baking trays. This added layer gives the surface excellent non-stick properties, making cleaning much easier. Most residue can be removed using a damp cloth and mild detergent, which reduces the need for harsh cleaning agents and extensive scrubbing.
Do I need to air the room when I use my range hood?
You should always ensure there is a supply of replacement air when the range hood is running. In the case of a recirculation air range hood, this enables air that is still moist after passing through the filters to be replaced. In extracted air solutions, an open window helps to optimise the air flow and prevents negative pressure building up in the kitchen.
Can I switch off/suppress the automatic light activation if I don’t really need a light above the cooking area?
For safety reasons, we recommend that the cooking area is always well lit.
Does the screen need to be pulled out on a built-in range hood for OptiLink to work?
The screen must always be pulled out to ensure the range hood can work at its best.
Are appliances with AutoDoor a safety risk for unsupervised children?
No. If the appliance door reaches its stopping point or encounters resistance, movement is stopped. The appliance door is uncoupled from the drive at a certain angle and can be moved freely. If an appliance door with AutoDoor is stopped manually, you must press the button again or close the appliance door manually to reset it.
May I ventilate the drying room before and after drying?
As soon as the drying process is complete and the DualDry has been switched off, we recommend ventilating the room for 5-10 minutes.
Does the DualDry require maintenance?
Apart from the usual cleaning processes, no further maintenance is required.
Is it still necessary to soak encrusted gratin dishes and fondue pans in water over night?
The fondue/raclette programme provides a remedy for this. Caquelons and raclette pans become perfectly clean without soaking. The programme is also suitable as a "super intensive programme" thanks to the active softening phase. Pre-rinsing burnt gratin dishes is a thing of the past thanks to this world first from V-ZUG.
My dishwasher has an unpleasant odour – what can I do?
To remove unpleasant odours, you can take the following steps. Remove the filter and clean it thoroughly. Select a more powerful programme, such as the Intensive programme. Refill the regenerating salt. Run the Pre-rinsing programme from time to time. Buy a commercially available dishwasher cleaner and add this using the Intensive programme.
What is the difference between an oven and a cooker?
A cooker is always installed underneath the worktop and has switches that allow the hob to be controlled. The oven is usually installed at eye level in a tall unit. This makes operation more convenient and ergonomic.
May I use a softener?
Yes. The softener can be used for both drying processes. It is irrelevant whether the laundry is dried in the drum or on a washing line. Deposits of softener on the drum surface are reduced to a minimum by the lower temperatures.
What kind of power connection do I need?
A normal 230 volt socket (T13 / 10 A secured).
How must the DualDry be positioned?
The positioning is shown in the installation instructions.
Should I use fabric conditioner if I want to dry my laundry in the tumble dryer?
Do not use fabric conditioner if drying the washing in a tumble dryer, unless the manufacturer states otherwise. Tumble drying automatically leaves the washing soft and fluffy to the touch. Using fabric conditioner can cause a thin, barely visible film to form on the drum and humidity sensors. This can lead to malfunctions and prevent the appliance from achieving the required degree of dryness.
Does the unit have a discharge pump?
Yes, a discharge pump is installed. The maximum feed height of the discharge height is 1.2 m.
It is possible to dry laundry in the drum and in the room at the same time?
No, only one operating mode works at a time.
Where and how high may the syphon be?
The maximum feed height of the discharge height is 1.2 m.
Where does the extracted water go?
The DualDry has an integrated discharge pump. The water is directed into a syphon with a hose.
What is the moisture control programme?
The moisture control programme automatically starts the room air laundry drying over 7 days if the appliance detects an increase in humidity. The target humidity in the room can be set between 50% and 60%.
What programmes does the DualDry offer?
In room air laundry drying mode: Extra dry, Standard dry, Iron dry, Damp, Timed drying (up to 3 hours), Moisture control programme.
Can the DualDry also be used to keep the room dry?
Yes, the moisture control programme runs for 7 days and automatically starts drying the room air if the appliance detects an increase in humidity. However, the DualDry is not designed for permanent operation or the dehumidification of very humid rooms.
What if too much foam forms during the wash?
We recommend checking the dosage setting of the selected OptiDos dispenser and, if necessary, adjusting it in accordance with the currently used agent. Here, we recommend the quantity stated by the manufacturer for 4–5 kg of laundry.
Should I choose a vented dryer or a condenser dryer?
It depends: for a vented dryer, you'll need to install an air duct leading outside from where you intend to place the dryer.
Are additional accessories required to use OptiDos?
No. Both detergent dispensers are supplied with the washing machine and can be immediately filled with the desired liquid agents or softeners.
Can organic or soap detergents also be used?
Yes. In the user settings, modular detergents can be activated by activating the function. This type of detergent is added to the detergent dispenser drawer on the right.
Is there a programme to quickly loosen up laundry?
The «WetClean» programme is ideal for that purpose. It takes just five minutes to breathe new life into your woollens. Your woolly jumpers and similar garments will feel much softer and fluffier on your skin - no more scratchiness or skin irritation.
What is the purpose of the extra dry programme?
This programme is designed for thick, multi-layered textiles and varying loads. It is less suitable for T-shirts and undergarments as they risk shrinking.
What is the purpose of the normal dry programme?
This programme is designed for homogenous loads - an entire machine full of terry towels or underwear, for example.
What is the purpose to the irondry programme?
Use this programme if you plan to iron your laundry immediately after washing it.
What is the purpose of the damp programme?
Use this programme if you're going to press your laundry (e. g. tablecloths) with a mangle after washing it.
Can I dry woollens in the tumble dryer?
All woollens labelled as washable can be dried in the tumble dryer. The appliance uses a gentle drying process with adapted drum action and a low temperature (approximately 45°C).
What is the purpose of the WetClean programme?
You use this to loosen up delicate textiles. (Remove them immediately after the programme has completed.)
Is there a very quiet programme?
Specifically designed with night-time usage in mind, the Silent programme emits no noise at all. During the night, the programme can last longer, but needs to be as quiet as possible – which is exactly what the Silent programme offers.
Does drying take less time if the laundry is well spun?
Indeed, thorough spinning reduces the time and energy required to dry your laundry. Creases caused during spinning will be largely flattened out in the tumble dryer.
Why was the DualDry not also implemented in the V6000?
The DualDry was implemented in accordance with the OptiDos appliance for the V4000. This means that the two new V-ZUG products can be perfectly combined with one another.Furthermore, it is more cost-effective to offer the DualDry with the V4000 than would be possible with the V6000.
Can I also connect the washing machine to a hot water supply?
Yes, you can – if you have a solar installation at home, you can use the hot water it generates for the washing machine. This is an optional feature on AdoraWash Vx000 washing machines.
Can I wash my drinking and wine glasses together with other crockery and cookware?
When buying glasses, please check to make sure that they are dishwasher-safe. Also note the information provided by the manufacturer of the glasses or ask the sales personnel. Glasses that are marked as dishwasher-safe can be washed with other crockery in the dishwasher without further thought. Higher temperatures are not a problem for such glasses, as they are manufactured to high standards of quality. As part of the daily use of your glasses, we recommend washing them along with your other crockery and cookware using the automatic programme.
Can you install an extra-high dishwasher under any circumstances?
Theoretically yes. Please discuss this option with your specialist dealer.
What is the best way of stowing large or unwieldy cutlery?
If you often clean ladles, wooden spoons, whisks or long meat knives in the dishwasher, we recommend using our Vario cutlery basket insert. The Vario cutlery basket insert is already included as standard in our SL models, but can also be bought as an optional accessory for our models in the N and S lines. The Vario cutlery basket insert can also be retrofitted to older appliances.
Are there fridges with an integrated icemaker?
The FoodCenter, CombiCooler Supreme and the Freezer Supreme (appliances in the Supreme line are only available in selected markets) are all equipped with an ice maker, which can dispense ice cubes, crushed ice or iced water. Perfect for cocktail parties!
What can I do if the machine/display breaks down unexpectedly or stops working correctly?
As with many other electronic appliances, it can help to unplug the appliance and disconnect it from the power for 10 seconds. This reboots the system so that minor faults can be fixed.
How can I safely place big bottles in the fridge?
Certain appliances feature a bottom compartment complete with bottle drawer, which offers vertical storage for many large bottles in a handy removable basket. A bottle rack for horizontal storage is also available in certain models.How can I place bulkier items in the fridge?
The break-proof glass shelves are height-adjustable, which means you can make space for larger items in your fridge. Some models have perfected the art of space saving: they feature divided shelves whose front half can be pushed towards the back of the fridge to free space for tall items on the bottom shelf.What detergent is the right one for my selected programme?
V-ZUG OptiDos supports the detergent selection with an intuitive, unique selection aid. It uses a symbol to show which detergent from the OptiDos dispenser suits the selected programme best.
Can I continue to use powder and special detergents?
Yes. Thanks to the intuitive, simple programme selection, it is possible to choose whether or not OptiDos should be used for the wash after every programme selection. When selecting “without OptiDos”, the detergent is taken from the right detergent dispenser drawer as usual.
What is added to which OptiDos dispenser?
By pulling out the OptiDos drawer, the detergents added to both dispensers are automatically shown on the touch display.
How do I know long the tank content will last?
By pulling out the OptiDos drawer, the load capacity for both dispensers is shown on the touch display and whether or not there is sufficient detergent. If the filing level is low, a notification will automatically appear on the display after the wash (without pulling out the detergent dispenser drawer).
Do I still need to add a rinse aid to the dishwasher if I am using all-in-1 tabs?
Yes, absolutely. For optimum cleaning and drying results, we always recommend adding rinse aid to the dishwasher. The amount of rinse aid in the tabs is not sufficient to achieve optimum drying results.
Can I also connect the dishwasher to a hot water supply?
You can set up our dishwashers for use with hot water. To do this, you will need to select the hot water function in the user settings. The dishwasher will now work in an operating mode adapted for use with hot water.
What should I do if an error message such as A1 appears on the display?

I suffer from allergies. Can a washing machine help me cope with them?
The anti-mite programme eradicates mites and allergens – importantly, that includes house dust mite excretions, which are linked to respiratory problems. These unwelcome house guests are incredibly resilient, but they are completely wiped out by the anti-mite programme found in AdoraWash and Unimatic product lines. The results are so good that even technical institutes are sharing them.
What exactly is dynamic circulation cooling?
Dynamic circulation cooling ensures an even distribution and circulation of cool air in a large cooling space. This means more flexibility in placing food in the cooling space, as well as shorter cooling times.Why do I need the quick-cool/quick-freeze function?
Food freshly stored in the cooling or freezing compartment can be cooled quickly and gently using the fast cool or fast freeze function.I don’t often have much time for washing. Are there any fast programmes available?
Yes, there are – the 40 °C and 60 °C Sprint programmes. Both of these are able to run with very little water and are gentle on your washing.
Why do I need the holiday function?
With appliances featuring separate temperature control, the holiday function can be used to switch off the fridge compartment while the freezer remains in operation. This is recommended to increase energy efficiency when you're away for longer periods of time.Why does the wine cooler feature two temperature zones?
The two cooling zones are vertically adjustable and can be set to two different precise temperatures suitable for white and red wine, respectively. Available temperatures range from 5 to 18°C.
Why do I need the Indoor Ice System (IDI)?
The IDI is a convenient way of dispensing ice cubes, ice chips and ice water. The sensor-controlled ice cube maker automatically provides the correct amount. The IDI is integrated into the fridge door instead of the freezer, which means you gain 20% of freezer space.Which models are designed for use in a family home or flat?

How does the steam anti-crease programme work?
The steam anti-crease additional programme can be selected with a large number of washing programmes. The integrated heating function gently treats shirts, blouses, skirts and other items with steam generated at the end of the wash cycle. This makes ironing faster and more convenient – and sometimes even removes the need for it altogether.
Induction hobs offer pan detection. How does this work?
Have you ever turned your stove on by accident or forgotten to turn off the heat? Now this not a problem any more. Pan detection ensures that the stove generates heat only when a pan is placed on the hob. A timer-controlled safety shut-off monitors each cooking zone and turns it off after a certain period. And if you have some aspiring junior chefs in your family, use the childproof lock to prevent accidents.Induction hobs offer a PowerPlus function. What is it for?
The PowerPlus function offered by almost all induction hobs helps you save time. If, for example, you need to heat up a large quantity of water, you can have a cooking zone work at an increased power level of up to 140%. PowerPlus puts up to 3700 watts at your disposal.Why and how often does the RefreshButler need to be descaled?
The appliance automatically detects when descaling is necessary. Is there not a risk of burning yourself on the door front?
All appliances are guaranteed to have low external door temperatures. In the case of normal ovens and steamers, a triple-layer glass door ensures safe operation while cooking. Pyrolytic self-cleaning ovens actually have a four-layer glass door concept. Thanks to the innovative door concept in the Advanced and Excellence Line, the door is ventilated with air from the room, thereby keeping the temperature of the outer door lower than it is for the standard models. What’s more, active appliance door ventilation also enables lower outer door temperatures for pyrolytic self-cleaning appliances.
What are the advantages of the Electronic Steam System (ESS)?
The advantages are clear – efficient, powerful, finely regulated and fast steam build-up, quick climate change, needs-based consumption of water and energy, water is pumped back into the water tank after the cooking process, and no stagnant water remains in the pipes.
Why is the interior of the V-ZUG steamer made from stainless steel?
Stainless steel is the only material that can be used for household appliances as it doesn’t rust when it comes into contact with water. All V-ZUG steamers are made with this material.
Why aren’t fully extending runners available as accessories for the PowerSteam?
Fully extending runners are not offered because they can affect the microwave field, leading to uneven heating and potentially compromising cooking results. By dispensing with them, we ensure consistently perfect cooking performance.
What must be taken into account when using accessories in a combi-appliance with microwave oven?
Do not use metal accessories such as cooking trays, baking trays or cutlery. These could create sparks. Check before use whether the accessories are microwaveable. Use the perforated plastic cooking tray for PowerSteam.
Why does the PowerSteam not have an energy label?
According to the standard, combined appliances with microwave ovens are not allowed to have energy labels. We have been reprimanded by the European Standards Committee regarding the MSLQ. That is why we have removed the energy-label from both the PowerSteam and the MSLQ. (We would have otherwise achieved the good rating of A+)
Which foods should be handled with extra care in the combi-appliance with microwave oven?
Foods with skins or shells, such as potatoes, tomatoes, sausages, and shellfish, should be pricked with a fork before cooking. Eggs should be beaten or scrambled, and for fried eggs, the yolk should be pricked to prevent bursting.
Can body odour also be removed from fabrics?
Yes, in principle, body odour can also be removed from fabrics. It should be kept in mind, however, that body odour is produced to help remove bacteria. Since sweat is unique to each individual, the treatment result may differ from person to person. We recommend washing sweaty clothes.
Is an artificial odour applied to the fabric during the refresh programme?
No – the photocatalysis process only removes odours and does not apply odorous or odour-masking substances to the fabric. A cupboard deodoriser can be used to match the scent to your liking.
What does the new software provide for CookTop V6000 FullFlex hobs, and how can customers with existing FullFlex hobs install the update?
The software update improves coil performance, providing faster heating, especially with small pots (Ø 110–150 mm). Operation is now more intuitive, and existing FullFlex appliances can be easily upgraded via the V-ZUG app. The PowerPlus function is now shown directly on the slider next to power level 9, making it quicker and easier to access the highest power.
How is the odour removal function in the RefreshButler different to other drying cabinet appliances?
The RefreshButler actually eliminates odorous substances, thereby removing odours with a lasting effect. Other appliances simply mask odorous substances with perfume or odour-masking scents during the refresh programme.
What exactly is a water hardness controller?
The water hardness controller ensures that the water always has the ideal hardness. This makes the detergent more effective and ensures that the dishes and glasses are treated gently.
What is VisionAssist, and which users benefit from it?
VisionAssist is a feature on the CookTop V2000 and CombiCookTop V2000 that improves usability and makes operation more intuitive. It works together with the physical knobs, which provide haptic and optional acoustic feedback (click stops). VisionAssist offers clear guidance for everyday cooking and is especially helpful for users who rely on acoustic power level information, including visually impaired users.
What colours are the CookTop V6000 FullFlex hob available in?
The FullFlex hob is available in Black, Platinum, and now also Pearl. The Black version has an even deeper shade for a smoother transition from the display to the frame. Platinum replaces the previous gray colour, offering a more refined and modern appearance. Pearl expands the design palette, providing additional flexibility for easy integration into kitchen designs.
How long does the drying take?
According to the measurement in line with the standard, the drying capacity at a maximum room size of 9 m² is 1.34 kg/h and it takes 5h 40min.
When does the water tank need to be filled or emptied?
We recommend filling the fresh water tank at the start of each programme and emptying both tanks at the end of each programme.The appliance automatically detects and notifies you when the condensation tank is full or the fresh water tank is empty.
What is the difference between the DualDry and a conventional room air laundry dryer?
DualDry is a combination of tumble dryer and room air laundry dryer.
What is the difference between a dryer (heat pump tumble dryer) and a room air laundry dryer (DualDry)?
With a heat pump tumble dryer, the drying takes place in a closed drum. The laundry is added to the drum and dried with the temperature of 55°C released by the integrated cooling circuit. With DualDry, the laundry is hung up on a washing line in the room. The DualDry blows dry air into the laundry items. They release the humidity into the room air. The humid room air is channelled via the evaporator installed in the DualDry. In doing so, the vapour in the air condensates on the cold evaporator surface. The dried and cooled air is then warmed up via the condenser and blown into the hanging laundry. DualDry uses the same heat pump to dehumidify the room air. However, the drying takes place at far lower temperatures.
How do I benefit from the room air function? The laundry can be hung up anyway.
If the laundry is dried in a room, the humidity must be transported out of the room through ventilation in order to prevent humidity damage, such as the formation of mould on walls. By ventilating, a lot of heating energy is lost in winter, which increases heating costs. DualDry removes the humidity from the air. This means that ventilation is required less frequently. Furthermore, the laundry can also be dried in rooms without windows, meaning an extra room is not required.
What is the energy consumption like compared to tumble drying or previous room air laundry dryers?
As drying in a room takes place at low temperatures and the laundry in a room can be less efficiently streamed with air, drying laundry in a room can require slightly more energy than when drying in the drum.
Can softener or pre-detergent be added manually via the drawer on the right if OptiDos is used? Do additional settings need to be made?
Yes, the softener can be added separately in the right compartment even if detergent was chosen from the OptiDos drawer. This does not require any additional settings, as the detergent compartment on the right-hand side is rinsed for every wash.
My dishes are still not clean when they come out of the dishwasher – what can I do?
There are a number of reasons for unsatisfactory cleaning results. The most common are listed below: - Too many dishes are packed too closely together in the dishwasher, preventing the water jets from the spray nozzles from reaching every part of the dishes and resulting in spray shadows. Spray shadows are surfaces on dishes that have been missed by the water jet and are therefore not cleaned. - The dishwasher's spray arms are blocked, meaning that the water spray pressure is too low for proper cleaning. In this case, you can simply remove the spray arms (see the operating instructions) and clean the nozzles under the tap. - Select the RinsePlus user setting on the dishwasher. RinsePlus increases the amount of water and extends the programme duration.
