How are creases reduced?
Applying steam makes the textile fibres smooth, causing creases to unfold. Clothing is smoothed out using a combination of its own weight and a gentle stream of air.
How effectively are creases removed?
The extent to which creases are removed very much depends on the type of fabric, as the fibre types all behave differently. Creases in textiles made from cotton and polyester fabric blends or wool, for instance, can be removed significantly more effectively than those in textiles made from linen, cotton or silk. A superior crease removal effect can also be achieved with cotton shirts labelled as "anti-crease" or "easy-care".
What are the key benefits to a room air laundry dryer?
Very careful drying as drying is without heat and friction, walls kept dry and therefore no formation of mould, quick drying, no hanging in stuffy cellar rooms for days on end, possible to dry anything that can be stored in the room (e.g. tents, carpets, sleeping bags, covers).

What is the difference between a dryer (heat pump tumble dryer) and a room air laundry dryer (DualDry)?
With a heat pump tumble dryer, the drying takes place in a closed drum. The laundry is added to the drum and dried with the temperature of 55°C released by the integrated cooling circuit. With DualDry, the laundry is hung up on a washing line in the room. The DualDry blows dry air into the laundry items. They release the humidity into the room air. The humid room air is channelled via the evaporator installed in the DualDry. In doing so, the vapour in the air condensates on the cold evaporator surface. The dried and cooled air is then warmed up via the condenser and blown into the hanging laundry. DualDry uses the same heat pump to dehumidify the room air. However, the drying takes place at far lower temperatures.
What is the difference between the Party programme and the Sprint programme?
The Sprint programme lasts 20 minutes and is suitable for quickly cleaning lightly soiled pre-dinner glasses. The Party programme lasts 11 minutes and is perfect for when an exceptionally large number of dishes need to be washed quickly ready to be used again – for example, a party with many guests. When using the party programme, the dishwasher starts with a 20-minute heating phase, after which the dishwasher can be fully loaded up to five times in a row.
My dishes are still not clean when they come out of the dishwasher – what can I do?
There are a number of reasons for unsatisfactory cleaning results. The most common are listed below: - Too many dishes are packed too closely together in the dishwasher, preventing the water jets from the spray nozzles from reaching every part of the dishes and resulting in spray shadows. Spray shadows are surfaces on dishes that have been missed by the water jet and are therefore not cleaned. - The dishwasher's spray arms are blocked, meaning that the water spray pressure is too low for proper cleaning. In this case, you can simply remove the spray arms (see the operating instructions) and clean the nozzles under the tap. - Select the RinsePlus user setting on the dishwasher. RinsePlus increases the amount of water and extends the programme duration.
My dishes are still damp when they come out of the dishwasher – what can I do?
- You need to increase the amount of rinse aid in the user settings (ex-works level 4). This will increase the level of rinse agent used in the rinsing process, thereby improving the dryness. - Select the DryPlus user setting on the dishwasher. DryPlus increases the temperature during final rinsing and extends the programme duration.
What is the energy consumption like compared to tumble drying or previous room air laundry dryers?
As drying in a room takes place at low temperatures and the laundry in a room can be less efficiently streamed with air, drying laundry in a room can require slightly more energy than when drying in the drum.
Do dishwashers also have sprint programmes?
Extremely fast programmes are offered at each convenience level. These programmes last between 11 and 30 minutes depending on the convenience level.
How is the odour removal function in the RefreshButler different to other drying cabinet appliances?
The RefreshButler actually eliminates odorous substances, thereby removing odours with a lasting effect. Other appliances simply mask odorous substances with perfume or odour-masking scents during the refresh programme.
How big may the room be?
The recommended maximum size of the room is 25 m² (50 m³)
When does the water tank need to be filled or emptied?
We recommend filling the fresh water tank at the start of each programme and emptying both tanks at the end of each programme.The appliance automatically detects and notifies you when the condensation tank is full or the fresh water tank is empty.
How does the OptiDos drawer need to be cleaned?
There are two options. In the event of minor soiling, the unique, automatic cleaning programme can be started via the OptiDos settings. It rinses both OptiDos dispensers with water. The second option can be applied when switching from softener to detergent or in the event of strong soiling (e.g. deposited detergent). In doing so, the OptiDos drawer can be easily removed manually without using tools and cleaned by rinsing under the tap. Do not clean the drawer in the dishwasher.
Can you install an extra-high dishwasher under any circumstances?
Theoretically yes. Please discuss this option with your specialist dealer.
How does the appliance hygiene programme work?
Start it without putting any laundry in the washing machine. The programme heats a small amount of water to approximately 80°C and then treats the inside of the appliance with steam to significantly reduce the number of germs.
When does it make sense to use washing powder?
Primarily for white laundry. Because only washing powder contains bleach and can therefore better remove stains from fruit, coffee, tea, etc.
Are additional accessories required to use OptiDos?
No. Both detergent dispensers are supplied with the washing machine and can be immediately filled with the desired liquid agents or softeners.
Can organic or soap detergents also be used?
Yes. In the user settings, modular detergents can be activated by activating the function. This type of detergent is added to the detergent dispenser drawer on the right.
I want to make use of times with low electricity rates. Can I set the dishwasher to run during the night?
The delayed start function makes it easy to take advantage of low night electricity rates. What's more, the appliance remembers the time it was set to on the previous occasion, and with a mere 42dB(A), our dishwashers know how to keep their noise down. You won't hear a thing.
Can I dry woollens in the tumble dryer?
All woollens labelled as washable can be dried in the tumble dryer. The appliance uses a gentle drying process with adapted drum action and a low temperature (approximately 45°C).
How does the «Tip and go» function work?
You select a main programme with the press of a single button. This means all the required settings are automatically chosen. If desired, select additional functions by pressing the corresponding buttons. If no button is pressed within 20 seconds, the programme selected will start automatically.
I want to place the tumble dryer next to the washing machine. Can I choose which side door hinges are fitted?
All our latest washing machines (Adora) and tumble dryers (Adora) are available with the door hinges on the right-hand or left-hand side. This means you can choose the most suitable version for your circumstances.
How do I link up my appliance?

What can I do if the machine/display breaks down unexpectedly or stops working correctly?
As with many other electronic appliances, it can help to unplug the appliance and disconnect it from the power for 10 seconds. This reboots the system so that minor faults can be fixed.

Why do I need a Bluetooth and a WLAN connection when connecting the appliance with the V-ZUG app? Which one is active and when?
For security reasons, the Bluetooth connection is required for initial pairing and for functions that can only be carried out in the vicinity of the appliance. Therefore it is only active as long as you are in the vicinity of the appliance.
The appliance’s WLAN connection is always active. If remote access is not set up, you must be in the same WLAN network as your mobile phone or tablet. If remote access is set up, you only need an active connection to the Internet with your mobile phone or tablet.
Is liquid detergent still the trend or will there be a switch to tabs?
The trend is currently for liquid detergents and is moving away from powder. Tabs are hardly a thing yet when it comes to laundry. Percentages: 68% liquid, 26% powder and 6% caps/tabs (source: Mibelle Group, October 2018)
What different types of fridges are available?
There are refrigerators with or without an internal freezer compartment, pure freezers, refrigerator/freezer combinations, and wine coolers. Under-counter refrigerators are fitted underneath worktops in studio apartments or small flats. Conventional refrigerators are integrated into tall cupboards. These are available as fully integrated versions as well as in White or Nero. The real colossus of the refrigerator world comes in the form of the FoodCenter, whose features even include an ice maker for ice cubes, crushed ice or iced water in addition to a gigantic refrigerator compartment. We also offer luxury refrigerators and freezers in the Supreme line, whose sheer space and flexibility make them ideal for stocking up.Are there fridges with an integrated icemaker?

What kind of design is recommended? Should I choose a framed hob or one that is flush with the worktop?
This is primarily an aesthetic question, but also depends on the kind of worktop you have. Flush hobs are mainly installed with stone worktops. However, make sure that the hob can be accessed from underneath the worktop.
Can I continue to use powder and special detergents?
Yes. Thanks to the intuitive, simple programme selection, it is possible to choose whether or not OptiDos should be used for the wash after every programme selection. When selecting “without OptiDos”, the detergent is taken from the right detergent dispenser drawer as usual.
How can I safely place big bottles in the fridge?
Certain appliances feature a bottom compartment complete with bottle drawer, which offers vertical storage for many large bottles in a handy removable basket. A bottle rack for horizontal storage is also available in certain models.How do I open the door of an AutoDoor appliance in the event of a power cut?
The appliance door can always be opened by hand. The best way to do this is to hold the top corners of the glass front and open the door by hand.
How can I place bulkier items in the fridge?
The break-proof glass shelves are height-adjustable, which means you can make space for larger items in your fridge. Some models have perfected the art of space saving: they feature divided shelves whose front half can be pushed towards the back of the fridge to free space for tall items on the bottom shelf.What is the «professional baking» function used for?
Bread, rolls and plaited loaves can be achieved at the push of a button using the professional baking application, delivering bakery-level quality. Is there anything that may NOT be filled in the OptiDos dispenser?
Yes. Powder detergent, tabs, Javelle water or comparable bleaches may not be filled in the containers.
What is the best way to keep vegetables fresh?
The 0°C zone (at high humidity) provides the ideal climate to double the storage time of fresh vegetables, salad and herbs.What can be filled in the OptiDos dispensers?
The following liquid detergents may be added to each dispenser: Universal detergent, colour detergent, fine detergent, softener, wool detergent, baby detergent, detergent for black clothes, detergent for white clothes, outdoor detergent. The dispensers can be flexibly filled according to personal requirements. Both dispensers with detergent, both dispensers with softener, one dispenser of detergent and one dispenser of softener, only one dispenser used with detergent or softener. The dispensers are also easily emptied if necessary and filled with another agent.
How many washes can be done with the content of an OptiDos tank before it needs to be refilled?
Both OptiDos dispensers can each be filled with 1.2 l of liquid detergent or softener. OptiDos calculates the optimum dosing volume according to the selected programme and the laundry volume in the drum. No excessive or insufficient dosage ever again!Examples: Slightly soiled laundry, at medium water hardness, manufacturer’s dosing recommendation is 60 ml. This means that you can wash up to 20 times without refilling. Normally soiled laundry, at soft water hardness, manufacturer’s dosing recommendation is 95 ml. Here, up to 12 washes can be done without refilling (the number of washes depends on the dosing recommendation of the detergent, the laundry volume in the drum, water hardness, degree of soiling).
What is the energy saving potential of a modern refrigerator?

The water tank holds one litre of water, which is sufficient for different steaming periods and is dependent on the temperature and the nature of the food. With Vacuisine, it is possible to reach over 48 hours of cooking time without having to refill the water tank. The water tanks in the Excellence Line can be cleaned in a dishwasher.
How does the hot air with steaming operating mode work?
A heating element behind the hot air diffuser plate heats up the air inside the cooking chamber, which is circulated evenly. Steam is then introduced into the cooking chamber. The use of steam can improve heat transfer to the food. Incidentally, steam over 100 °C is not visible. The programme is particularly suitable for gratins, casseroles, meat, frozen products, chestnuts, puff and yeast pastry, bread and convenience products on 1 or 2 levels.

Is there a special programme for woollens?
Yes, there is. The wool programme has been specially designed to treat woollen fabrics extremely gently during the wash cycle and with a much lower spin speed. This produces fantastic results while putting the wool under as little strain as possible.
How can I make sure my laundry is treated gently?
The innovative DialogSystem takes care of this. The washing machine communicates information on the amount and type of laundry, spinning speed, the selected wash programme etc. to the tumble dryer. How can I make use of low electricity rates?
You can use the delayed start function to set your electricity provider’s low rate times up to 24 hours in advance and use the machine during these times. The current range of AdoraWash washing machines also features the intelligent OptiTime delayed start function. If you use OptiTime at night, for example, and combine it with low electricity rates, you can make energy savings of up to 63% per wash cycle.
What is the most economical way to use a refrigerator?
Minimise your energy consumption and costs by defrosting your refrigerator regularly, positioning it in a cool place, not on the balcony, letting warm food cool down before placing it in the fridge and tightly covering liquids such as sauces.What actions can I take to prevent undesirable odours?
To make sure the range hood works as effectively as possible, switch it on three to five minutes before you start cooking. This allows an air flow to be established in the room so that vapours and odours can be conducted away quickly. To prevent the build-up of negative pressure and support the extraction of cooking odours, fresh air must be supplied at the same time. As a result, the following rules apply: always open a window when using air extraction solutions. Once you have finished cooking, keep the fan running for another five to ten minutes. Many range hoods have an automatic run-on function for this purpose. The more the range hood covers the hob, the better the extraction performance. This is why flat pull-out deflector plates perform very well. For wall and island hoods, you should make sure that the majority of the hob is well covered.What is the difference between an extracted air and a recirculation air range hood?
Extracted air range hoods require access to the outdoors. They convey cooking vapours directly outside into the open air via the metal grease filter. In a recirculation air range hood, the air is drawn in, cleaned using an activated charcoal filter and then conveyed back into the kitchen. This option is particularly suitable if there is no way to convey the cooking vapours from the range hood in your kitchen to the outside. Is it a good idea to install a sound absorber with a wall/island hood or built-in range hood?
Yes, we would definitely recommend installing a sound absorber to reduce the overall noise emissions. In extracted air mode, both the fan noise going outside and the outdoor noise coming inside via the extracted air duct can be reduced. In the case of recirculation mode, the sound absorber is positioned directly on the fan nozzle in the hood flue.What material is the ventilation duct of the DSMS hob hood made from?
The material is a flame-retardant plastic blend, which is self-extinguishing with a V0 classification as per the UL94 standard.What does the energy efficiency category say about a range hood?
The energy efficiency category helps you to understand a range hood’s energy consumption and to compare it to others. Since the start of 2020, products have been given a rating on a scale of A+++ to D. The most energy-efficient V-ZUG range hoods are in efficiency category A++.How do the hob hood and the hob with integrated range hood work?
Steam and odours rise at a maximum rate of one metre per second. The V-ZUG hob hood or hob with integrated range hood extracts the air using a cross current that is higher than the rising speed of the cooking vapour. As a result, cooking vapours and odours can be effectively extracted straight away at the hob.May I ventilate the drying room before and after drying?
As soon as the drying process is complete and the DualDry has been switched off, we recommend ventilating the room for 5-10 minutes.
Does the DualDry require maintenance?
Apart from the usual cleaning processes, no further maintenance is required.
I have an active V-Upgrade subscription. What happens now?
Customers with an active subscription will also retain access to the corresponding V-Upgrade permanently and free of charge, unless otherwise communicated.
Apple subscriptions are cancelled automatically at the end of the current billing period. V‑Upgrade will be permanently activated on the appliance at no additional cost from July 1, 2026, without any action required.

How much rope do I need per wash?
40 m of rope per 10 kg of laundry are required.
How high is the laundry hanger installed?
Ideally so that the dry air flow of the DualDry flows directly on the laundry. However, the laundry also dries if the positioning is less ideal. The customer is free to install the hangar as they like. In an apartment building, the washing line is usually at a height of 180 - 190 cm. The washing line should not be lower than the air release flap.
May I use a softener?
Yes. The softener can be used for both drying processes. It is irrelevant whether the laundry is dried in the drum or on a washing line. Deposits of softener on the drum surface are reduced to a minimum by the lower temperatures.
What is the purpose of the hot air function in a microwave oven?
You can use your microwave in combined mode to prepare a gratin, lasagne, cake or baked potatoes, or bake bread and puff pastry using only the hot air mode. The possibilities are endless. Compared to a regular oven, meals in microwaves take only two-thirds to half the time in combined mode.
Is there anything in particular I need to consider when cooking with microwaves?
With certain foods such as potatoes or tomatoes, make sure you puncture the peel several times so the steam building up inside them can escape. Also, you should cover your food with wrapping film or a lid. Puncture the film lightly before cooking. Certain foods such as vegetables require you to stir them a few times or add some water during cooking.
What exactly is a water hardness controller?
The water hardness controller ensures that the water always has the ideal hardness. This makes the detergent more effective and ensures that the dishes and glasses are treated gently.
How do I find out if I have an appliance with V-ZUG-Home?
You will find the V-ZUG-Home configuration in the user settings of each V-ZUG appliance. From there, you can set the V-ZUG-Home mode, read information and restore the factory settings for V-ZUG-Home.

How are textiles sanitised?
The additional hygiene programme eliminates germs using an elevated temperature (above 60 °C) over a longer exposure time. Independent laboratory trials have confirmed a reduction in germs of up to 99.99 %.
How does the refresh programme work and how does it remove unpleasant odours?
The refresh programme draws out and then eliminates odours from textiles using a combination of an elevated temperature and steam.
Can body odour also be removed from fabrics?
Yes, in principle, body odour can also be removed from fabrics. It should be kept in mind, however, that body odour is produced to help remove bacteria. Since sweat is unique to each individual, the treatment result may differ from person to person. We recommend washing sweaty clothes.
Is an internet connection required for the use of the app?
Yes, an internet connection is required for full utilisation of V-ZUG-Home and the V-ZUG app.
Can rain-soaked clothes also be dried?
Yes, wet clothes can easily be dried again in next to no time using the additional drying programme.
What do I need to consider when using a sprint programme?
Sprint programmes are suitable for lightly soiled pre-dinner or coffee dishes. Sprint programmes are not suitable for normally or heavily soiled plates/pans and other items. If you use tabs, we recommend that you select the All in 1 function in the user settings. The All in 1 function extends very fast programmes, meaning that the tabs are able to dissolve and achieve their full cleaning effect.
Can all textiles be refreshed in the RefreshButler?
Virtually all of them – but we advise against using the RefreshButler on water-sensitive fabrics such as fur or leather.
How does it eliminate germs and bacteria from clothing?
Recurring cycles of steam and special photocatalysis technology remove 99.99 % of germs and bacteria from clothing.
Why can my household appliance not be connected to the home network via WLAN?
Please ensure the following conditions are met:
Ensure the router is switched on and that the smartphone/tablet can access the home network. Check if the WLAN symbol is visible on the smartphone/tablet.

Has the V-ZUG app been downloaded?
Can the app detect the household appliance?
Is the smartphone/tablet connected to the WLAN (home network)?
Is Bluetooth activated on the smartphone/tablet?
Is 'Location' enabled?
Has the PIN been entered correctly (6 digits)?
Is the correct WLAN displayed? If not, the device may have poor WiFi reception.
Has the WLAN password been entered correctly?
When does the OptiDos drawer need to be cleaned?
As required, in the event of strong soiling and when changing from softener to detergent.
Is there a programme to quickly loosen up laundry?
The «WetClean» programme is ideal for that purpose. It takes just five minutes to breathe new life into your woollens. Your woolly jumpers and similar garments will feel much softer and fluffier on your skin - no more scratchiness or skin irritation.
Can softener or pre-detergent be added manually via the drawer on the right if OptiDos is used? Do additional settings need to be made?
Yes, the softener can be added separately in the right compartment even if detergent was chosen from the OptiDos drawer. This does not require any additional settings, as the detergent compartment on the right-hand side is rinsed for every wash.
What is the purpose of the normal dry programme?
This programme is designed for homogenous loads - an entire machine full of terry towels or underwear, for example.
What if too much foam forms during the wash?
We recommend checking the dosage setting of the selected OptiDos dispenser and, if necessary, adjusting it in accordance with the currently used agent. Here, we recommend the quantity stated by the manufacturer for 4–5 kg of laundry.
Why am I not able to use all the functions of the appliance via the V-ZUG app?
There may be various reasons for this:
For security reasons, specific functionality may only be used on the appliance.
The functionality has not yet been implemented and will be added in a future version.
For other technical reasons that make it more user friendly to keep the functionality on the appliance.
Why am I not able to start the appliance remotely with the V-ZUG app?
It is currently not possible to start the appliance remotely for security reasons. You must always confirm your selected programmes and recipes on the appliances in order to start them. We are developing ways in which to enable this functionality in the future.
