From pickling to fermenting – food preservation made easy
Do you appreciate seasonal produce but would also like to enjoy summer fruits or delicious vegetables from the garden in winter from time to time? From dehydrating and pickling to fermenting and preserving – in this cookery course you’ll discover and use a wide variety of techniques to make food last longer. We’ll show you how to preserve produce from your own garden, your local farmer or the supermarket using the oven or steam cooker.
This course is open to anyone who may be interested. You don't need to own a V-ZUG appliance to join in.
With the help of the instructor, you and the other participants will try out a variety of techniques for preserving food, for instance pickling using the steam cooker. Our team will be happy to offer you tips and suggestions and answer your questions about how to use the appliances.
You can then enjoy some culinary treats in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. And you can of course take the preserved items home with you.
Cost per participant: CHF 110
Please note that the course fee must be paid at the venue (debit/credit card, Twint or cash). At the Lucerne and Réchy locations, payments may only be made in cash. For organizational reasons, we reserve the right to cancel courses with too few attendees or due to extraordinary circumstances.
